The cabin sits on 3 acres of land with a large lawn and 600 feet of water frontage. Step out the front door to over 100 feet of permanent dock that provides protected deep water space for boats of all sizes. Within a couple miles of boat launch, marina, public landing, gas station and bar/restaurants.
The cabin has old world charm with knotty pine walls and cathedral ceilings. Full kitchen and dining room table that can sit 8, large living room, 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Living Room has 3 sitting areas- (1) TV area with 2 full couches, 2 chairs and limited use fireplace . (2) Game/Relax area with full couch, card table and chairs (3) Sleeping area with 2 twin beds. (Will be converted to sitting/Tv area in summer of 2018). Master Bedroom has a queen bed/Second Bedroom-Full Bed and Bunk Bed. Cooking Grill outside and extensive covered exterior space for snowmobiles, picnic tables, etc.

Summer- Phenomenal boating, swimming, hiking right out your front door. Take the boat over to the Mt Kineo Golf Course or hike to the top. Fall- Foliage and Hunting Season.

- "Great location! Very quiet place" - "We had a great time at Lawrence's Lakeside Cabins. The Cabin was clean and well stocked with plenty of towels and cooking stuff. There was even a Crock Pot we used one night for tacos! We had a great view from Ripple Cabin, but especially enjoyed sitting on the deck by the lake in the quiet mornings. There is quite a steep hill to get from Ripple cabin to the lake and back, so keep that in mind if that is an issue for you, but there were plenty of lake toys and we used the kayaks several times and swam every day the weather allowed The setting is beautiful, the people are nice and very helpful and we would return!"

- "The cabin is cozy and extremely well equipped. Everything you need and more. The location is the real star. What a view, all those lake toys and evenings by the fire pit." - "Loved our visit!" - "My wife and I wanted to see moose so we drove north out of our base in Bar Harbor and would need a place to stay since moose peeping is best at dusk and we didn’t want to drive back to Bar Harbor at night. Our cabin was exactly as described; clean and freshly remodeled. We weren’t there long so didn’t get to appreciate the lake other than it’s beauty. It’s about 20 minutes from Greenville so you need to plan ahead with your provisions as it’s not convenient to drive back to town. Saw four moose and two black bear while in the area so our goal was accomplished to see moose with the added bear bonus! The road back to the camp is dirt/gravel and currently riddled with potholes. Overall a great place to stay; we just wish we had a couple more days to really enjoy all it had to offer."

Welcome to the pristine Moosehead Lake area. This property has a lots to offer, the home is a beautiful 3 story, first level has two very spacious bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has two new very comfortable twin beds and a spacious full bathroom. Upper level has open room concept, living room, dinning room and full kitchen, with a half bathroom and spectacular views of Moosehead Lake. The bottom level is a spacious bunk-room/ game room offering 4 twin beds, dart board and pool table, two doors open up to a beautiful back yard with picnic area and fire pit. You will also find plenty to do during your stay, we are located right on the snowmobile trail, ATV access, the area offers hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, golfing, skiing,swimming, snowmobiling, pontoon rentals and snowmobiling rentals nearby, and two restaurants a convenience store, bar & grill, shopping is also about a 20 min ride. We offer plenty of yard games, and inside games for rainy days or just sit back relax and enjoy the views from our two decks.

The hosts were very responsive and helped with everything we needed! There was only AC on the top floor (kitchen/LR) and the basement isn’t completely finished. That said, this house is immaculately clean and the views were beautiful!" - "We go to Rockwood somewhat frequently, and have stayed at some of sporting camps in town before, but we found this place and it seemed perfect. It was! We stayed for several days in February for a snowmobile trip. The house is legitimately right on the trail and overlooks the local sled repair shop with gas so within seconds you are out on the trail and ready to ride for the day. This was important for us because we had issues with gas from the only station in town previously. Yes, you do hear/see all the other sleds and the groomer, but that isn't horrible. The house was clean and had all the amenities you would expect. The beds were comfortable and the house was nice and warm. The driveway is a half circle so if you have a trailer you can easily drive in and out without having to back up or jockey around. The one thing I would say is that the road is a private road and very narrow with a super steep hill that starts right from the main road. We were towing our sled trailer and the sun had been hitting the road all day, not enough to melt away anything but enough to make the hill a sheet of glare ice. We couldn't make it up the hill because it hadn't been sanded. But we were able to make contact with the homeowner and the road got sanded. We will book here again!"

Winter months are just as amazing! There is snowmobile access, great for trips to Jackman, the Forks, Pittston Farm, Greenville, and beyond! 15 minutes south is Big Moose Mountain for all your downhill and cross-country skiing needs!

Perfectly placed on the edge of the Moose River just a few hundred yards from Moosehead Lake, this quaint cabin brings tranquility and serenity to life. This camp can be a sportsman's paradise or the perfect place for a romantic getaway along some of the most pristine landscape in New England. This property was the location of a sporting camp in years' past and has been completely modernized, making it excellent for a trip to Maine's largest lake without giving up any amenities. This area is known for it's unbeatable landlocked salmon and lake trout fishing. It is impossible to not unwind from the craziness of life while enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch watching the wildlife cruise the river. Within a 25 minute drive you can access a grocery store, hospital, and many dining options. To the north is the gateway to the North Maine Woods. Here moose and deer sightings are very common in the dusk and dawn hours. If you are up for a scenic drive, the Quebec border is less than one hour away. For those looking to enjoy a change of pace and relaxation, this is the spot! Included with any stay is free use of one space at the dock out front of the cabin to use as boat or jet ski storage during your trip. The couch also pulls out into a bed for extra sleeping space if needed.

We rented a boat as well, and docked it right at the house everyday. We spent almost all our time outside hiking and boating, but this was the perfect place to rest each evening. Bed was comfortable, kitchen well appointed, and had everything we needed. Everything is literally brand new and so well done. The owner was so friendly and we really appreciated the hospitality we received!"

- "My husband and I stayed in cabin #3 for a week long getaway and it wasn’t enough. Kelsey and Josh have revived a slice of heaven here on Moosehead Lake. Having always come in the winter for snowmobiling we weren’t sure exactly what to expect but, the cabins were precisely what we needed. Our cabin was completely done over with fresh pine and new appliances, it was comfy and well appointed. Even tho the main road of rockwood runs behind the cabins there is no real traffic to speak of so you don’t hear it (your way up north) the satellite overview shows the gravel drive between the cabins and the lake to get into the property but it is private and does not have traffic. You can’t get any closer to the lake and the dock was amazing for relaxing and reading a book or doing a canon ball into the water, the sunrise and sunset can be seen from the dock and they are breathtaking. There is a resident bald eagle just a short paddle away on a near by island and if your lucky he/she will give you a close up fly by. Kelsey and Josh have plenty of water craft for the use of the guests, just be sure to put one of the life jackets in ;) The fire pit down but the dock was great to stargaze (out of this world) and mingle with hosts and guests. Some of the other groups of cabin rentals on the lake can get noisy but rockwood cottages is very quiet and peaceful, coffee on the deck overlooking the lake and mount kineo was a daily pleasure. We hope to back as soon as this winter as the ITS runs thru the property. This is the perfect spot to get away from it all, it is a small town but there is the RBG (rockwood bar and grill) a favorite of ours with great pizza and a small attached convenience store, The Birches where you can have a nice sit down dinner or enjoy drinks on the deck by the water, and Manards which has indoor dining 2 choices every night and needs revelations. All are great and have small town charm. One of our favorite days we took the kineo shuttle to the island and played golf on a surprisingly nice course and then hiked to the top for some out of this world views of the entire lake and beyond.
