The cabin sits on 3 acres of land with a large lawn and 600 feet of water frontage. Step out the front door to over 100 feet of permanent dock that provides protected deep water space for boats of all sizes. Within a couple miles of boat launch, marina, public landing, gas station and bar/restaurants.
The cabin has old world charm with knotty pine walls and cathedral ceilings. Full kitchen and dining room table that can sit 8, large living room, 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Living Room has 3 sitting areas- (1) TV area with 2 full couches, 2 chairs and limited use fireplace . (2) Game/Relax area with full couch, card table and chairs (3) Sleeping area with 2 twin beds. (Will be converted to sitting/Tv area in summer of 2018). Master Bedroom has a queen bed/Second Bedroom-Full Bed and Bunk Bed. - "Great location! Very quiet place" - "We had a great time at Lawrence's Lakeside Cabins. The Cabin was clean and well stocked with plenty of towels and cooking stuff. There was even a Crock Pot we used one night for tacos! We had a great view from Ripple Cabin, but especially enjoyed sitting on the deck by the lake in the quiet mornings. There is quite a steep hill to get from Ripple cabin to the lake and back, so keep that in mind if that is an issue for you, but there were plenty of lake toys and we used the kayaks several times and swam every day the weather allowed The setting is beautiful, the people are nice and very helpful and we would return!"

- "The cabin is cozy and extremely well equipped. Everything you need and more. The location is the real star. What a view, all those lake toys and evenings by the fire pit." - "Loved our visit!" - "My wife and I wanted to see moose so we drove north out of our base in Bar Harbor and would need a place to stay since moose peeping is best at dusk and we didn’t want to drive back to Bar Harbor at night. Our cabin was exactly as described; clean and freshly remodeled. We weren’t there long so didn’t get to appreciate the lake other than it’s beauty. It’s about 20 minutes from Greenville so you need to plan ahead with your provisions as it’s not convenient to drive back to town. Saw four moose and two black bear while in the area so our goal was accomplished to see moose with the added bear bonus! The road back to the camp is dirt/gravel and currently riddled with potholes. Overall a great place to stay; we just wish we had a couple more days to really enjoy all it had to offer."

The rooms were very clean and overall was a great experience. Welcome to the pristine Moosehead Lake area. This property has a lots to offer, the home is a beautiful 3 story, first level has two very spacious bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has two new very comfortable twin beds and a spacious full bathroom. Upper level has open room concept, living room, dinning room and full kitchen, with a half bathroom and spectacular views of Moosehead Lake. The bottom level is a spacious bunk-room/ game room offering 4 twin beds, dart board and pool table, two doors open up to a beautiful back yard with picnic area and fire pit. You will also find plenty to do during your stay, we are located right on the snowmobile trail, ATV access, the area offers hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, golfing, skiing,swimming, snowmobiling, pontoon rentals and snowmobiling rentals nearby, and two restaurants a convenience store, bar & grill, shopping is also about a 20 min ride. We offer plenty of yard games, and inside games for rainy days or just sit back relax and enjoy the views from our two decks.

The hosts were very responsive and helped with everything we needed! There was only AC on the top floor (kitchen/LR) and the basement isn’t completely finished. That said, this house is immaculately clean and the views were beautiful!" - "We go to Rockwood somewhat frequently, and have stayed at some of sporting camps in town before, but we found this place and it seemed perfect. It was! We stayed for several days in February for a snowmobile trip. The house is legitimately right on the trail and overlooks the local sled repair shop with gas so within seconds you are out on the trail and ready to ride for the day. This was important for us because we had issues with gas from the only station in town previously. Yes, you do hear/see all the other sleds and the groomer, but that isn't horrible. The house was clean and had all the amenities you would expect. The beds were comfortable and the house was nice and warm. The driveway is a half circle so if you have a trailer you can easily drive in and out without having to back up or jockey around. The one thing I would say is that the road is a private road and very narrow with a super steep hill that starts right from the main road. We were towing our sled trailer and the sun had been hitting the road all day, not enough to melt away anything but enough to make the hill a sheet of glare ice. We couldn't make it up the hill because it hadn't been sanded. But we were able to make contact with the homeowner and the road got sanded. We will book here again!"
