When I asked what the problem was, she mentions a photo the cleaning staff took and questioned me about it. When I gave my explanation she had an attitude and sent me on my way. Literally every staff member we encountered leading up to the manager and cleaning staff were excellent and professional. We appreciate the courtesy shown by weekend staff, which they happen to be all black. I wish I gathered their names because I had planned on giving 5 stars because of them specifically. The minor issues we had with our room was overlooked because of how welcoming and accommodating the 3 weekend staff were. 1 lady and 2 gentlemen. Thanks for a pleasnt time. "

Description of layout: The newly renovated house boast 5 bedrooms and 5 baths. On the top floor is a private master suite with vaulted ceilings and a luxurious bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower. Down the hall is a bedroom with a full bed and trundle underneath. Enjoy the window seat and built in storage as you look out over the lake. There is also a small private bathroom with shower.
On the main floor there are two living areas (both with large screen TV's) as well as a well equipped kitchen, no need to bring common condiments or dishes as we have you covered! There is a family room off the kitchen as well as large living area with access to the covered porch (with dinning and seating and stairs to lower level). The dining room seats 10 and is perfect for all your family and friends. Rooms on this floor consist of a bedroom with queen bed and a bathroom that has access to the main living area. The bedroom off the kitchen is perfect for kids with a queen/twin bunk bed as well as a twin trundle. There is also a bathroom off the kitchen with shower.
The lower level is pure fun! We have an arcade, foosball table, air hockey and bumper pool. There are loads of board games as well as outdoor cornhole. In the living room enjoy a large screen TV and full size sleeper/sofa. In the adjacent bedroom is a queen bed as well as a twin daybed. There's a newly remodeled bathroom that has access off the bedroom and laundry area. In the laundry you will find plenty of laundry detergent, extra towels, life vests etc. to enjoy in the hot tub or down on the dock!
Outside off the lower level is pure peace, privacy and serenity. We have a beautiful hot tub, loungers and kayaks to enjoy on the massive dock that is all yours during your stay.
Surveillance devices, including security cameras and smart doorbells for safety and security are in use outside the property.

Our family all came in town for Thanksgiving and we rented the house so we could all be together. The house was perfect. There was 11 of us and we had plenty of room. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and the kitchen was well supplied. The dining area was large enough so we could all get around the table. There are two gathering areas so plenty of space to sit and talk and play games. Each time we had a question there was a quick response. The driveway is a little steep but once you are there it feels like you are in a secluded Mtn cabin. We would definitely stay again!

Our extended family had a great time at this beautiful lakefront home. Family ages ranged from 1 - 76, so this is not always easy. We had space for everyone, and the kitchen /eating area were a fun hangout. The oversized dock with seating was a huge bonus. The only things I would improve is an extra kitchen trash can, an extra outside trash can, and a bit of a better path down to the lake. But the effort was worth it! We had a ball, floating, swimming and jumping in to the lake! And the renovations to the house are great. Also appreciated are the kitchen necessities...containers, bags, a few spices... all in all, it was absolutely the experience we were hoping for. Thank you!

This house was very comfortable to live in and easily fit our large family. There was a nice sized back yard for wiffle ball or other yard games. Although it was chilly the weekend we visited, the dock access was nice and we enjoyed some quiet time on the dock.

There was plenty of room for us to fit around the dining room table.

Our family is 5 couples, so having the 5 bedrooms and 5 baths was key! The house is close to Clemson, which was convenient and we actually found a park nearby with walking/running paths - another huge plus!

Finding the house is really tricky, so pay close attention to the directions from the host!

You are equipped with all your essentials here at the rustic rectangle . If you need to do laundry there is a close by laundry mat up the rd right in downtown Pendleton.

In the living area you are provided a drop leaf bar top for your work, or eating convenience, just pull up and it’ll lock, when letting back down there are four leavers to unlock below. The couch let’s down to an xl twin to allow for more sleeping and use for seating at the bar, (please pickup to move rather than dragging)..

In the kitchen you’ll find your paper towels/or Kitchen towels, salt, pepper, sugar, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, pots (specific for induction cook top), coffee and kureig coffee maker, microwave along with a toaster oven which can air fry, toast , bake and and more in the labeled cabinets. The stove top is an induction cooktop and the pots provided under the stove are required for it to work efficiently and properly .(they must be on the stove top prior to turning it on for them to heat, then just turn on and use as normal). Unfortunately there is no oven , but we do also provide two grills for your convenience outdoors.

Make your way to the bathroom and it’s supplied with towels, razors, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, hair brush, body wash and more for your convenience.

In the bedroom you’ll find a full/queen bed, closet with hangers and two shelves for your suitcases or other items , there is also one open storage space under the bed for additional space .

If using kayaks please use at own risk and expect to bring transportation that will accommodate the two single, standard sized kayaks, straps are provided for use ( located in the deck box on the porch), lake is not in walking distance, but short ride up the rd to both leisure and sunset areas.

There is a bbq grill for guests use, when finished with it we ask that you please clean it to the best of your ability:) and enjoy

When using hot tub PLEASE USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. FOR STAYS LONGER THAN 4 NIGHTS THE HOT TUB WILL NEED TO BE CLEANED during your stay to insure filters are clear and waters stays clean. (I will be happy to do so without bothering you , and I’ll mention this in your welcome message day of arrival) There are chemicals used to keep water clean we will not be held liable for burns or skin irritation. DO NOT FOR ANY REASON TURN POWER OFF OR HEATED FEATURE OFF UNLESS INCASE OF EMERGENCY . WHEN NOT IN USE PLEASE PLACE LID BACK ON AND CLIP LID TO SEAL. WHEN PETS ARE AT THE SPACE PLEASE USE PROVIDED PURPLE TOWELS TO WIPE ANY PET PAWS IF NEEDED. DO NOT USE BATHTOWELS, HAND TOWELS RAGS FOR PETS, BLANKETS OR PILLOWS. IF YOUR PETS REQUIRE ANY BEDDING OR PILLOWS PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR OWN.

A $55 PET CLEANING FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL GUESTS WITH PETS, this should automatically be factored in at time of booking if added into booking, if not and we see/hear a pet was brought we will assume you missed this detail and will charge you.

There are SECURITY CAMERAS outside every corner of the home, the hot tub is in coverage view of two of them, they do not pick up any sound. For your safety and the safety of others there is a monitor located in the bedroom for guests to view footage. Cameras do not pick up sound you can turn that off at anytime .

To use kayaks (please bring transportation to accommodate the one or two single standard sized kayaks . Lakes are not in walking distance but just a short drive up the rd to both leisure and sunset areas . More areas available within farther distance.

BBQ grill provided for guests use as well. Please when finished , clean it to the best of your abilities .
Other things to note
Pets live next door and have an invisible fence. Will bark if they see activity but are harmless.

Although we do allow pets because we know how important they are to our guests we do require a $55 cleaning fee for all dogs on top of our $75 cleaning fee per booking. This should automatically be included into your total if you added a pet at time of booking, if not and see/hear a pet was brought we will assume you missed this detail and will charge you.

There are security cameras outside every corner of the home. For your safety and the safety of others there is a monitor located in the bedroom for guests to view footage. Cameras do not pick up sound.

It's centrally located, but protected from noise & congestion by trees and bamboo. You'll be in your own little grotto, but a short distance from anything: ball games, classes, conferences, etc. It's great for small families, friends, sports fans, couples, solo adventurers, & business travelers.

The space
This is a newly rehabbed modernist home from the 1950s. Everything is updated from the kitchen to the bathrooms, but much of the original charm is still there: vaulted ceilings, accent windows, wood-burning fireplace, original hardwood floors.

The living room and kitchen are spacious and filled with light from the accent windows. Cold nights are perfect for entertaining with the wood-burning fire place. The Master Suite and second bedrooms have closets that run the length of the wall.

This home is great for individuals, families, or groups. Children are welcome, but please note the home is not child-proofed and does not have any baby/toddler supplies or furniture. All children should be monitored while near the fireplace.

Guests can access everything, including a fully equipped kitchen and the washer and dryer. Please, clean what you use (dishes, stovetop, spills, etc.) and return everything to its place (games, remotes, keys, etc.)

Pets are occasionally allowed in the home, with additional pet fee and security deposit. Smoking is never allowed.

The interior doors are not wide enough for wheelchairs.

- "The house was very nice and in a great location for us since we were there for a bass tournament." - "Really nice property. Plenty of supplies. Nice big two bedroom with an office, nice size living room and modern kitchen. Candace had fresh flowers on the kitchen counter and bottles of water available and plenty of coffee pods (strangely no sweeteners however). There is a convenience store and a gas station a three minute walk from the property. Very difficult to find the property at night but once you know where to go it is easy to spot. It is the only property on a private dirt road tucked behind a small housing complex. Located just a couple miles from the Clemson campus. I wasn't thrilled with having to purchase $5K in property damage insurance but the price of the home was reasonable enough that this extra cost doesn't kill the pocket book. Also, wasn't thrilled with having to strip all linens and towels and starting a wash and worry about the garbage before checking out especially because there is a very early check-out (10:00 a.m.) and already being charged a decent fee for the clean-up. All said, I would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay here again in the future. My suggestion is that the owner either make the check-out time a bit later or do away with having to start the laundry before checking-out. Candace was pleasant and very easy to deal with."
