Cleaning/Checkout: Checkout is 11:00 am. Late checkout is $100/hour. We do a thorough cleaning after each guest’s stay. We kindly ask that before leaving, you place dishes in the dishwasher and start it, start a load of towels in the washing machine, and take out all trash. This helps our cleaning process and keeps cleaning costs down. Leave the home basically as you found it when you arrived.

Restrooms: Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet, including wet wipes and flushable wet wipes.

Lost Items: Please do not forget anything in the home. Unfortunately, we cannot package and ship things that are left behind.

Our home is located two miles from Hwy 50 and about 50 miles from both Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. Just a quick drive to the famous Apple Hill area or Placerville.

Our little house in the woods is a great place for a romantic getaway, families, or friends. It is decorated in a fashion to make everyone's stay feel extra special. It's not like a musty old cabin in the woods. Our hardwood floors help to make our home even more charming. We have complimentary WIFI for those who just can't leave technology at home. We consider long-term rentals. Please come and enjoy the relaxation and smells of the pines after a day of adventure and fun!

Our well-stocked kitchen is a delight to prepare meals for family and friends. You may enjoy eating at our breakfast bar or at our dining room table that may be extended for larger groups. Nearby is the very popular Sly Park Recreation Area with the beautiful Jenkinson Lake. It has 645 acres of surface water and great fishing opportunities. The lake has a boat launch and a boat rental facility. (Kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and row boats) Of course, if you want to bring your own boat, we have plenty of parking. Swimming and water skiing are allowed, but personal water crafts are not. In the winter, you may go snow shoeing, sledding, or just play in the snow. It's just a spectacular setting for many outdoor activities!

For the Apple Hill (Camino) lovers, we are less than ten miles from this special area! In April, there is the Apple Blossom Festival. In the summer, there is the cherry and berry harvest. In the fall months, the traditional harvest season is in full swing. You can enjoy the cornucopia of fruits, ciders, vegetables, wines, baked goods, and homemade preserves. Of course, in winter, you can start your own family traditions as you cut down your own Christmas tree and enjoy the magic in the air! Oh, I forgot, you may want to visit a local winery and bring some back to enjoy!

Do you love snow skiing? Then, you'll be glad to hear that we're about 35 miles from Sierra at Tahoe or about 50 miles from Heavenly Mountain Resort.

We are about 15 miles from the charming historical 'Gold Rush' town of Placerville. It is a peaceful blend of old and new that offers something for everyone. There is a lot to do, and you can easily spend the day exploring the area.

THE SPACE

Located on a beautiful forested green belt, this home is conveniently located only 5 minutes from US 50. This is very helpful during the snowy weather because it is on one of the first streets to be plowed, making access easier. Ample parking and level entry makes accessing the home incredibly easy for older and younger guests. While there are homes to each side, the view from most rooms is a verdant forest with abundant wildlife.

Wicker Moose Manor is a spacious 3,600 square feet, so there's plenty of room for multiple families. The house has two living rooms each with wood and pellet burning stoves, comfortable seating, large windows that bring in plenty of natural light, and televisions. Upstairs has a large wall mounted flat screen, as well as downstairs, where board games, foozeball and a shuffle table are kept. There are two master bedroom suites, both with windows, private bathrooms with plenty of light and large mirrors, and closet space. The home has many electrical outlets, so there is no fighting for a space to charge your devices. Pocket doors allow you to close off a room to keep the noise down in other parts of the home. The kitchen, dining room, and upstairs master all have sliding glass doors enabling you to bring the outdoors in. The back deck has plenty of space for you to sit and listen to the creek and the birds fluttering about. Breathe in the fresh, crisp mountain air and relax!
The garage is perfect for storing your outdoor gear like kayaks, fishing gear, ice chests, bikes, and skiis or snowboards. The backyard is ideal for sledding, and the house has sleds for you to use in the garage.
During the winter, the central heating system keeps the house at a comfortable 65 degrees, but nothing beats a fire on a snowy night. There is firewood and wood pellets on site for your convenience as well. During the summer the whole house fan keeps the home comfortable after the sun sinks behind the trees. Only occasionally does Wicker Moose Manor experience uncomfortably hot nights, but no worries - the house has a central heating and air conditioning system.

Our guests will have access to the entire property, including the garage. The driveway can fit many cars depending on their size. Our backyard is a forested hill with a small stream at the bottom. It's just steep enough for sledding but not steep enough to be dangerous. Deer, Turkeys, Jack Rabbits, and other wildlife are frequent visitors. Security cameras are present on this property.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS

Assistance will be available via cell phone if you have any questions or concerns. Host lives in the neighborhood and can be on site within minutes if needed. She will contact you the morning of your trip with the weather, traffic, and highway conditions (if any) and again after check-in. Please feel free to contact the host with any questions or concerns.

Snow! If your are staying with us between November and March there will likely be snow on the ground. Please carry chains or use a 4 wheel drive because the weather can be unpredictable and getting stuck is never fun. Buy chains before driving up here when winter storm conditions exist so you do not have to pay the marked up prices. We have a driveway plowing service but in case you get snowed in and need to leave in a hurry there is a snowblower and shovels in the garage.
Occasionally there will be wildlife exploring the property, please give these animals their space. Usual neighborhood guests include but are not limited to; Deer, Turkeys, Jack Rabbits, Squirrels, Ravens, Bats, Coyotes, Skunks, Foxes, Raccoons, and Possums. Wicker Moose Manor is an ideal spot for bird watching, there are many bird species that frequent the property. Please stay away from these animals, they are wild and could possibly hurt you. Do not attempt to pet or take a selfie with the wild animals.

Mandatory enforcement of county wide quiet hours. 10pm- 8am noise outside will need to be 55dBA or less, about the same noise level as an outdoor conversation.

- "This cabin is just perfect. The living room has the best feel with the windows big to see out during the day. Loved the fireplace heater and rooms were great. Rec room is fun . Everything you need is there and store is nearby for groceries. Cabin has all the nice touches and very comfy . We cooked alot and noticed maybe the kitchen couid use some bigger skillet or cooking pan but we brought one . The outside grounds are beautiful and having the fenced dog run was so nice to have. This may be our new spot for our yearly trip !!"

Welcome to Cedar Pines Cabin! We hope you can be one of our first guests! Our rustic 1100 sq. ft. 2 bedroom 1 bath home is perfect for a couple with children or a few friends to enjoy a getaway in the woods of gorgeous Pollock Pines. Our cozy cabin features cedar walls, a wood burning stove, an automatic backup generator and an outdoor gas firepit.
Maximum (4) adults and 1 child five years old or younger. Further details below.

Surrounded by the pines at 4000 ft we get the best of both seasons with a fair amount of snow in the winter and a place to escape the heat in the summer. Just under an hour to Lake Tahoe and 45 minutes to Sierra at Tahoe. And, less than a 10 minute drive to Jenkinson Lake and only a 35 minute trip to Ice House Reservoir to enjoy some of the best trout fishing around.

We have a large open deck with a propane firepit to keep you warm on the starry nights, an outdoor dining table and a propane grill.

If you need to do laundry, we have a new Samsung high capacity washer and a dryer. We also have a portable air conditioner for the summer months that is installed in the living room along with an air purifier. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans.

We offer free Netflix on our 65" smart tv, great wi-fi and the cell signal is surprising good in the area. Incredibly quiet, serene and peaceful. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

100% of all cleaning fees (usually more) are paid directly to our professional cleaner. We do not keep any portion of the cleaning fees.

Please note: During the winter we can get heavy snow. Chains and/or 4WD may be necessary. Guests have access to the entire home. Limit of two cars in the summer and only one in the winter please.

Please note we do not allow any pets/animals. We take the well being of all our guests personally and adhere to the strict allergen-free safety guidelines set forth. For this reason, we do not allow pets/animals inside or on the property for the health and safety of all our guests who will be staying at Cedar Pines Cabin. Guests that fail to follow this house rule will be fined $100 per night along with any additional cleaning/sanitizing fees.

El Dorado county's new VHR maximum occupancy is four (4) persons six (6) years of age and older. We also allow one additional child age five and younger.

- "The cabin was perfect for our family of 5 (3kids, 2 adults), while we visited family for the holidays. The cabin was pristine and thoughtfully stocked with essentials. We love to cook and appreciated having the basics. No snow this time. The cabin is tucked away on a quiet street (road a is a little rough and tumble but completely manageable; for future families- if there had been snow we would have stuck with our SUV rental rarher than a minivan to make sure we made it up and down the hill). We were close to groceries and just a short trip down the hill to shopping in placerville. Our host was quick to communicate, which was extremely helpful. We loved our stay and will definitely be back for future family visits. Thank you for opening your home to us."

An ideal place for family reunion or friends get together. Our spacious both indoor and outdoor will accommodate your group with endless of amenities. Our property of 3000+ sq ft included a separate Master-suite on the top floor, another Master-suite on the ground floor plus 3 other bedrooms on the ground floor. There’re 2 separate living rooms and 1 main kitchen, 1 kitchenette fully-stocked which is perfect for a large group with multiple families. Add’l 2 guest rooms attached to the main house available for additional fees. Please inquire if you’d like to add to your reservation.
Note- the Eldorado county ordinance is required for quiet hours between 10pm-8am. No visitors are allowed on the property except for guests under reservation during these hours.

Cell phone reception is best for AT&T and Verizon, but other providers get reception as well.

This split-level house with entry stairs and a steep driveway is not suitable for small children.
