Important notes to potential guests:
*Getting around in winter requires riding in snowmobile trailers (no suspension), skiing and walking on snowy roads. Lifting bags, dogs, kids, etc. into and out of a trailer with waist high sides will be necessary. This has been challenging for anyone with strength or mobility issues. Staying with us in the summer is a great way to enjoy this space without the challenges that come with winter access.

This well-maintained cabin, is updated with quality mountain themed furnishings throughout. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. Cabin sleeps 8 guests and can accommodate comfortably up to 12 guests with the extra queen futon and pull out sofa. Our cabin is pet friendly with a STRICT PET POLICY. Only ONE pet per stay for small non to low shedding breeds. There is an additional pet fee IF pet is approved. Pets are considered and allowed case by case ONLY and we refuse the right to accept them. Our Cabin is located in the heart of Bear Valley with walking distance to Bear Valley Village restaurants, pool and shops. In the Winter, you can walk to ski shuttle bus, Bear Valley Cross-County and yet it is secluded to enjoy a peaceful mountain getaway and experience winter wonderland you can't get in any other CA town.

Bedroom #1: great for the kids; it has a bunk Bed (Twin over Full Size Beds) and a pull out full mattress under bunkbeds and sleeps up to 5.

Bedroom #3 (Master Bedroom): has a comfortable queen bed, wood fireplace, master bath and a deck that is only accessible during Summer/Fall months.

In the Spring/Summertime, our Cabin features a beautiful seasonal creek running in the back and a private rock fire-pit in front, perfect for roasting marshmallows. You can relax in our hammock by the firepit. There is plenty off street parking at the cabin. The cabin is located within waking distance to private Bear Lake, Village Swimming pool, park, library, restaurants and 4 miles to Alpine Lake.

In the Wintertime, depending on the snow fall levels, Bear Valley closes the subdivision roads to allow skiers and snowmobiles to access the cabins through a well groomed roads and the roads are closed to all cars including 4WDs. The cabin is one of the closest to the community parking area Lot 'C', which provides with close access in the winter. Cabin is easily accessible by foot, ski, or snowmobile and the groomed roads, allow for the adventurous skiers, to ski down from Bear Valley Ski Resort all the way to the Cabin's front door. Bear Valley Ski Resort is just 3 miles up the road. During ski season, there is a free shuttle from town to the ski lifts you can walk to from the cabin. Ideal, small family condo situated in Bear Valley. All brand new double paned windows just installed and new linens. Easy access to all facilities including the Bear Valley Lodge, the bus shuttle to the ski resort, cross country skiing and the tobogganing hill. Games provided which can be played beside the warm log fire and also a wall mounted T.V. complete with WIFI. A comfy queen bed can be found in the bedroom with cozy blankets and the sofa bed easily converts to a queen sofa bed. - "We had a great stay here: the location can't be beat for doing anything in Bear Valley, and the triple bunkbed was a huge hit with the youngest part of our family :). Huge thank you to the host for a wonderful weekend!" - "We had a great time at Deanne’s place. It was extremely clean, very well stocked in terms of all paper goods, cleaning supplies, and cooking utensils. It is very well located; across the street from the lodge and shuttle stop. Rick did an amazing job keeping the parking and pathways clear of snow and safe and available for the condo guests. No small feat as the days we stayed at Bear Valley saw the most December snow ever and over the holiday week too. Things I wish I knew: turn the heater and the gas stove all the way down at night, the first night I only turned the thermostat down to 60 and it was too toasty to sleep, the outlet that the tall skinny floor lamp near the dining room table is plugged into is a switched outlet. Important if you have phones plugged in. And (although this is super clear in the listing as pointed out by my partner and daughters once we got there) this condo is a large 1 room studio. It works well for 4 however and the lodge across the street has a large and very cool great room with a fireplace if you want to get away. Also, if it was not so snowy, the large deck would have been a great additional space. All in all a very nice place to stay."

Very close to the Bear Lake (15 min walk) and relatively close to Alpine lake (7 min drive or 3 mile hike in the forest). Plenty of heat and a thermostat controlled gas fireplace. Access was very easy after picking up the info pack as there's a fob to access the indoor parking and the condo door is code. It's a corner unit so only the living room shared a wall which made it quiet. We could hear the people upstairs on occasion but nothing loud at all. The location is great- far enough into the village so you don't hear any traffic on Route 4 and a 2 minute walk across to the General Store and the pub. The kitchen was stocked with the normal rental-ware and we weren't wanting for anything. There's even a full spice rack. The coffee maker is a simple Mr. Coffee basket machine, so bring what you need if you're a coffee snob. ;-)"

the deck with views of the trees and rocks and opens up to the kitchen and

dining room. The fully equipped kitchen offers all of the cooking essentials,

plentiful plates, glassware and silverware and a breakfast bar with barstools.

The dining table has seating for six and extra chairs throughout. The master

bedroom offers a queen sized bed and a dresser. There is a bathroom in between

the bedrooms with a glass enclosed shower over tub and a large vanity. The

Kitchen is tiny but has a fridge, oven, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The heaters worked well though there is no central thermostat. There are 2 short flight of stairs to get to the unit. Narrow stairs connecting upstairs and downstairs. The living room/dining room area is dated. Very quiet. We stayed there during a winter storm. There was tons of snow. Someone from the building plowed the snow but it wasn’t easy to get around. The lodge is nearby but the pizza place was closed. The general store barely has anything so I recommend that you bring food from home or stop at the grocery store at Arnold. You will need to bring your own Saran Wrap, napkins and aluminum foil."

Condo is located in the Silver Mountain Condo building, one of the newest

buildings in Bear Valley Village. This spacious condo offers all of the

luxuries of home, complete with heated radiant heat in the floors. The propane

fireplace offers dry stack slate with gas logs. The fully equipped kitchen

offers Bosch stainless steel appliances, spices, toaster, coffee maker and a

built-in wine rack. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and opens up to

the bathroom with dual vanities, and a glass enclosed stall shower. The

secondary bedroom offers a bunk bed and a trundle bed. There is a queen

sleeper sofa in the living room. Blu-ray, dvd/cd with surround sound, high

speed DSL & Apple TV. This is one of the closest condos to all amenities in

Bear Valley village. Just minutes to the Bear Valley Lodge where the bar/

restaurants, general store and sports shop is located. It is equal distance to

the snowmobile and cross country centers where you can rent snowmobiles or

rent snowshoes, sleds/tubes or cross country skis. Catch the free shuttle to

the slopes at the shuttle stop across from the Bear Valley Lodge! **Condos are

centrally located and in close proximity to all village amenities.

This mountain getaway has more windows than wall space to take full advantage

of the amazing views! The property offers 3 separate bedrooms and 2 baths.

Each bedroom is tucked in its own unique place in the house to offer privacy

for your whole group. On the main floor you have the living room, kitchen, and

a sitting window which can be used as twin beds and a Big Screen TV . Off of

the main room the slider opens up to a split level deck with seating for

everyone and BBQ (Gas). The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials

and then some! There is Vintage Stove in the Kitchen which is used to heat

the house and you can cook on it. There is plenty of wood at the home

compliments of the owner. The dining table is a beautiful (must see) and

tucked in a great window space with room for 8+ at meal time. The house has

a very open floor plan. The living area and kitchen are open and great for

entertaining. If you must take a break from relaxing to catch up on work or

emails there is an office just off the entryway with a twin bed - the perfect

spot for remote work. With great views of the trees and mountains. Up the

stairs you will find the master bedroom - quiet, private, and secluded with

plenty of space and with your own private bath, GREAT BEAR CLAW TUB to sit and

enjoy a glass a wine after a long day in the snow. Down the stairs off the

main entry way in the lower level there are two rooms, one has a queen bed

and the other room is the Bonus Room with a POOL TABLE BIG SCREEN TV AND A

SAUNA with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy after the snow (there is also

a Queen Size bed in the Bonus Room). Just off of the Bonus Room is the

Laundry Room with Full sized Washer and Dryer. The architecture of this

Vacation Home is one of a kind You can not go wrong with this one of a kind

architecture and beautifully decorated home!

DURING THE WINTER MONTHS THIS HOME IS SNOWBOUND AND YOU MUST USE OVER THE

SNOW TRANSPORTATION if you do not have your own snowmobiles. Bear Valley

Vacation Rentals provides the arrival take in and departure take out. You

must schedule this service in advance (its a great experience). You can't go

wrong with the home whatever season it is.

- "Very pleasant. The house was bright and airy. Except for the extremely dull knives the kitchen was well appointed although somewhat disorganized. We also found lots of left over food in the refrigerator and on the counters." - "We had a great week as the setting was beautiful, and there is wonderful hiking and wilderness close by. The lakes all around were great for fishing, paddle-boarding and swimming. The house has a great floor plan for hanging out, with lots of light and windows, and the deck was really lovely. We also enjoyed the pool table. Unfortunately, it really didn't feel as though they prepared the house for us as renters who were paying quite a bit for a weeklong vacation in their home. All the shelves were full of food when we arrived, and there wasn't much room for ours, so we had to keep a lot of it in the floor in boxes all week. We also had to throw out multiple items of moldy and rotten food that we found in the fridge when we arrived, which felt like a bummer when starting a vacation. The freezer was so full that we could barely fit anything in it. Lastly, the ad on VRBO at the time we rented the house listed a grill as one of the amenities, which we had checked before we arrived. We were there during a heat wave and brought a bunch of stuff we planned to grill. There was no grill available, and when we reached out to the property manager and the owner about this, no solution was offered. But they have now clarified the listing which no longer lists a grill under amenities. This is a great house and a great area to have a wonderful summer vacation, but for the amount of money it costs to rent it, a bit more care could be taken to prepare it for renters."

After you return to this 3200-sq-ft vacation home, you can unwind by the communal pool or sip a drink in the spa tub; you may also like the deck or patio and BBQ grill. As for the great indoors, you can try your hand at billiards, or enjoy the free WiFi, TV, and DVD player.

As you settle into this 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom rental, you'll find a living room, a dining area, a sofa bed, and a fireplace. Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer, towels, and shampoo. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher, as well as a coffee maker, a microwave, and cookware.

This awesome home above Bear Lake, Great Floor Plan with plenty of room for 2

Families or more You can ski-in/ski-out and great area to pay in the back of

the house in the snow for the whole family. Walking into this home the

entryway has a beautiful natural Rock Floor where you will leave your coat and

wet boots and from there you enter the main living area where you cant miss

the HUGE STONE from floor to ceiling where you would sit and enjoy a fire and

a good movie on the Big Screen TV after a day of skiing.. On the main floor of

the home is the Living Room, Kitchen, Laundry Room, 2 bedrooms and 2

Bathrooms. There also is a pool table in an extended area of the living room.

The Living Room is Large with big windows lots of natural light, great for the

views of the mountains. On the 2ndy story and up the spiral stair case there

is a Large Loft with its on ensuite bathroom. In the loft area there is a King

size bed and 3 twins in addition to a Desk area and a Full Bath with an extra

large tile shower stall and extended bath vanity. There is a Master Bedroom on

the main floor with a Queen, a twin and a full size trundle bed pullout. In

Bedroom 2 there is a King and twin with a full size trundle pull out. The beds

are very comfortable with extra thick mattress's for comfort. The Dining table

in the home extends up to to 6ft, plenty of room around for the gang to enjoy

a home cooked meal. This home is great for a big family or with the layout you

could entertain 3 families in the house. You can ski-in and ski-out from this

home. This home is snowbound in the winter months. In the summer months just a

few steps to Bear Lake for some swimming and a picnic on the lake. During the

winter months over the snow transportation is included in your reservation you

do need to schedule this in advance. The service is for your arrival and

departure. There are additional snow taxis for transportation if needed during

your stay.. There is a free shuttle to the Mountain for downhill skiing that

leaves every 30 minutes to and from the Village. Bear Valley has quite a few

lakes and wonderful hiking trails all over for guests to enjoy. Come stay in

this home above it all!

During the winter months due to snow transportation 8:00PM is the latest

check-in - in the summer months you can check in up to 12:00AM on the Arrival

Date. You will park in public parking in the winter when Snow Transportation

is provided - parking is free. In the summer and spring time when the roads

are open you can park at the property.
