Except they double charged my credit card " - "I booked a package through Expedia including a 2 bedroom lockoff at Tahoe Ridge Resort. When we showed up at the Tahoe Ridge Resort they could not find our reservation. The supervisor, Liz, said if I could screenshot her my Expedia reservation, she would take care of it. They gave us our room and never contacted us again in the three nights we stayed. When I got home I saw that the hotel had charged me $1695 for the stay. This is a charge that I never authorized or signed for, and quite frankly a bogus charge because I had already paid for the reservation through Expedia. I called and got no help over several days. In addition to the charges that were not authorized, the room had a very musty smell, the AC did not work in either bedroom or the main living area, the ceiling fan wobbled and made loud noises, somehow dozens of moths were entering the room nightly, and there were children’s toys in the main living area, which indicated to me that area had not been cleaned. I have never written a negative review because normally I can overlook most inconveniences, but I felt it was my duty to warn other customers that they may be charged twice for their room if they booked through a third-party. I gave the hotel my Expedia confirmation number and they claim they were never able to find it. However, when I called Expedia and gave them the number they pulled it up right away. The hotel staff also made it seem like this is a regular occurance."

The description of the condo says it sleeps 6, but it is quite small and realistically is best for no more than 4 people. We went visited in the winter and we were disappointed that the fireplace was not working. We couldn’t get it to turn on and when we contacted the property management to get the directions on how to operate it, we received a text that said the fireplace was new and they were waiting on a part to make it operable. This was disappointing since the temperatures outside were freezing and there was no communication regarding the fact the fireplace was not functioning. The only other complaint was that the mirror doors of the master bedroom/loft fell off when we tried to slid them open. Fortunately, my husband caught them and no one was hurt, but this was a safety hazard and should have been taken care of prior to our arrival or at least a sign should have been posted letting renters know the condition of the doors. I texted management( Julio), and never heard back from him acknowledging the issue. Overall, the condo made a nice place to stay for a ski weekend, but needs a little maintenance. "

We rented the second week in July and our noisy neighbors on top were there for 3 days then we got neighbors to the side for 3 days and we could hear the video games at night till 3am. Other than that we were hardly there during the day as we were out and about every day. For anyone wanting to visit Lake Tahoe we recommend visiting Incline Village and renting bicycles & doing the bike route/scenic part of the lake. Also visited Echo Lake which has amazing hikes, views & water taxi. All worth the drive/visit. We also went Paddleboarding on El Dorado beach, hit the casinos, and visited a couple of restaurants. Used the kitchen (well stocked) once only. Overall a great family vacation."

- "First the positive: Location was great - a short drive to town. Management company was professional and responsive. The bottle of wine in the welcome package was a nice surprise. The oversized TV was great. However, I have to say that for the price we paid, we were expecting better. Visibly dirty carpet throughout the unit -- not consistent with the photos. Moldy shower curtain in master bathroom. Debris in the corner of the bathroom floor. Extensive water stains on the master bedroom ceiling. Cracked floor tile that would move upon stepping in it. Dirty/dusty walls and baseboards throughout especially in the kitchen, including backsplash. On burner on the stove was not working. The inside of the oven was badly in need of cleaning. The back panel of the stove had a layer of grease with dust stuck to it. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. The top of the hood was covered in grease. In one of the bedroom closets, there was a shirt and pair of underwear left behind by a previous guest. The kitchen supplies were somewhat lacking. Only one mini non-stick frying pan. The internet equipment was faulty, resulting in intermittent outages. This was not the normal "slow internet" due to high occupancy during the holiday season. The listing clearly showed an accessible loft, but there was Plexiglass screwed on the ladder with a sign saying "not for guest use". The loft was a selling feature of the condo and it felt like bait and switch to show it in the photos."
