For home-cooked meals, Easy Living features stainless steel appliances in the well-appointed kitchen, so bring your groceries! There is a bistro dining table plus room at the kitchen bar for seating.

In the charming bedroom you’ll sleep like a bear on the quality queen bed. Plenty of linens are provided to snuggle down and hibernate on the queen sofa sleeper in the living area.

After playing in Lake Tahoe or skiing down the slopes, come soak your bones in the claw-foot tub in the beautifully designed bathroom. You can pack light for your adventures, because this home includes a full-sized washer and dryer.

THE HOME

Escape to the lake with Waters Edge Jewel. This Tahoma condo features beautiful lake views, all the benefits of the Waters Edge HOA membership, and a prime location. The HOA includes a swimming pool (only open during summer), BBQ and picnic areas, waterfront lawn, private beach, and a dock offering access to the expansive shoreline - all just steps away from the front door of the condo (~50 yards). During the winter, you're just 2-miles away from Homewood Mountain Resort.

The thoughtful, well-appointed interior offers lots of space to relax and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. A cozy living room is furnished with comfortable seating gathered around a fireplace and SmartTV (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). WIFI is available throughout the home.

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a generous amount of counter space, and a built-in breakfast bar. When you are ready to dine over a home cooked meal, the dining table has seating for 6. Additionally, the unit has two decks, complete with a large outdoor table and gas grill, perfect for meals al fresco.

We are proud to say our home is accessible in many ways for those with disabilities and special needs. However, we are sorry to say that one of us is extremely allergic to dog and cat hair. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding of our effort to be inclusive. If you decide to move forward, please note that in addition to the cleaning fee, your service animal MUST be with you at all times (including when you leave our residence). The service animal also MUST be on a leash per our HOA policy. Failure to abide by these rules may result in having to leave the home as we will ask for your pet to be removed from the Airbnb.

Our cleaners travel from great lengths and have tight schedules and therefore will arrive right at 10am. Failure to abide our check-out policy may result in fees.

- "What a great condo, perfectly appointed with all the necessities except the unit needs A/C or more fans! The kitchen/family room got impossibly hot. So hot that we had to run out to the hardware store and buy 2 big floor fans to help with the heat Luckily, Tahoe began to cool down from the 88 degree weather towards the middle of our vacation. Sure glad we got the fans though (something the owners might consider having since there are no fans in the kitchen or living room and the bedroom ceiling fans don’t cut it) because you have to lock up when you are at the beach or pier because of bears. You can’t leave the windows open when no one is inside the unit and it becomes like a furnace with everything closed up. That being said…the place is nicely remodeled with all the necessities. So close to the water and a nice view from the deck. We enjoyed biking and the teens went rock climbing. It’s close to so much and a really great rental. We would have appreciated some beach chairs (we had to get some of those too) in the unit like other places have and hand lotion like some other rentals have. We have stayed in a rental in Meek’s Bay and they provided kayaks and beach chairs. Something for the owners to think about. We would have left our fans for future guests but, my husband had the idea to use them to keep our garage cool so we brought them back with us. Thank you for sharing your rental with us!"

Vacation Home Rental permit # 072732. Our cabin (IG @tahoebigpinecabin) is a two bedroom, two bathroom welcoming home which sleeps 5-7 people.The living room, dining nook and kitchen are an open floor plan, allowing for time with family or friends to make memories. The kitchen is stocked with essential cooking equipment to prepare meals. We also have a gas BBQ for outdoor grilling, along with an outdoor table on the front deck. As the Tahoe summer/fall evenings can be chilly, you can warm up by the wood-burning fireplace in the living room. We also have a mudroom with a washer and dryer and storage benches to store snow or beach items.

The two bedrooms are upstairs, along with the larger bathroom. Another full bathroom, with a shower/tub, is downstairs. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and a comfy chair for reading. The second bedroom has one full-sized bed and a twin/full bunk bed, perfect for the kiddos – big and small.

For our younger guests we have some toys, books, games, a pack ‘n play, a table high chair and children’s plates/bowls/cups/utensils. For the older guests we have books, games and a TV with Apple TV.

We fell in love with Tahoma a few years ago and love the West Shore location. The neighborhood is tranquil with a sense of community. Within a 10-minute walking distance from our cabin is a recreational pier and beach, a children’s playground, coffee/ice cream shop, a local general market and a pizza place. We are also one mile from Chambers Landing, a popular summer/fall location with a beach, pier and bar/grill (if you go make sure to try their punch).

Within a short drive from our cabin are:

• Sugar Pine Point State park, great for hiking (5-min drive)

• Homewood ski resort (5-min drive)

• Meeks bay, a sandy beach with shallow water and optimal family-friendly location (10-min drive)

• Famous Emerald Bay and D.L. Bliss State Park (15-min drive south)

• Camp Richardson, which is a popular area for the summertime (30-min drive south)

If you want a more lively area than Tahoma, Tahoe City is a 15-minute drive north from Tahoma. Tahoe City has more restaurants, beaches, large playgrounds, gas stations and larger supermarkets for all your needs. On the drive to Tahoe City there are a few gems along the way which are some of our favorite places to eat & drink along the West Shore. If you are new to the area we are happy to help guide you and provide you with recommendations.

Overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Tahoe’s West Shore, this beautiful home is a wonderful year-round retreat. In summer, the private McKinney Shores HOA beach provides easy access for boating and water fun. In winter, Homewood Mountain Resort is only a mile to the north for exciting skiing or snowboarding. In Spring and Fall, there are lots of nearby hikes and fun places to explore like Eagle Rock and Sugar Pine Point State Park.

If you prefer to stay home and relax, this is the place! Take in the gorgeous lake view while grilling up dinner on the deck or gather in the large upstairs loft for family game night or a movie on the huge flat screen TV.

The home is well equipped with games, puzzles, flat screen TV's (not pictured), and a DVD player. So get cozy and gather around with some hot cocoa! The kitchen is well equipped with a slow cooker, Keurig coffee maker and a drip coffee pot, wine ware, blender, utensils, and much more.

During the summer, you have access to Chamberlands private beach, pool and tennis courts. Ride bikes to the beach or take the shuttle bus that conveniently runs all day. Access to Emerald Bay is just a short drive away. For winter guests,our home is located 5 minutes from Homewood Ski Resort and a short drive from Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. Olympic quality cross country trails are just a short drive away at Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park. The house was remodeled in 2019 and features a blend of natural wood and rock throughout. It has a very warm and cozy feeling to the house that is accentuated by the unique blend of traditional bedrooms along with open concept loft sleeping areas.

Please note that the loft sleeping areas are an open concept in that they overlook the great room below. Each loft area is separate from one another, however, they do not contain 100 % privacy walls (as is the case with traditional bedrooms). For those seeking complete sleeping privacy, this may not be the ideal situation. The two traditional bedrooms are most suitable in that regard.

There are multiple flat screen TV’s located throughout the home including a double screen set up along with an Xbox and Play Station in the front gaming loft!

Guests have full access to the home, however there may be a locked closet or cupboard for owners items. We have local property manager engaged to help with any issues that may arise throughout your stay.

Chamberlands is a true gem to be discovered in Lake Tahoe. Located between Homewood and Tahoma on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, this neighborhood offers wonderful woodsy locations with many properties bordering on streams. There are approximately 300 homes in the Chamberlands subdivision, but only around 100 have access to the pool and tennis courts!

All homes have access to a private section of the beach and can use shuttle service for transportation from their homes to the beach. The shuttle departs every half hour on the hour beginning at 11am with the last regular run at 4:30pm. The shuttle operates daily from approximately July 1st – August 20th.

Chambers Landing Restaurant is a local’s favorite and located right next to the private beach area on the water. During the summer, offering an outdoor bar and grill during the day and open for fine dining in the evenings, Chambers Landing Restaurant has it all! The restaurant is open Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Pull up and park your boat at the dock to enjoy all that Chambers Landing on the lovely West Shore is known for. A long wooden pier stretches out into the blue water with a small bar serving the famous “Chambers Crush”. A white sandy beach and supervised swimming area is perfect for enjoying a day with family or friends. The restaurant itself features wonderful Tahoe mountain ambiance and outstanding food. While this house is “pet friendly”, all pets must be disclosed when booking and a non-refundable pet fee must be paid. There is parking for 3 vehicles on the driveway and no spillover for additional cars. Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).

Summer access to Chamberlands Beach, Pool & Tennis is governed by the Chamberlands Board. It is generally a very family / guest friendly environment; however please note that some guest restrictions and / or capacity limitations may apply during busier summer days. Guest Access Cards will be located inside the property and must be returned upon departure. Any unreturned cards will result in a $100 replacement fee per card.

No outdoor fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).

Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.

Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked) whenever not present in the home. Important! Please make sure that all bungee cords are properly installed across all exterior doors / windows and turn on the system (light flashing) before departing. Failure to properly secure the home can put the home at risk and result in considerable damage if a bear enters the property.

The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 5 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).

The front entry door is somewhat exposed to the elements. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe some shoveling needed. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we also recommend traveling with a shovel in case needed while in route.

WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.

ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.

The roomy kitchen provides all the basics needed to prepare a delicious meal, including a gas range, spacious countertops, and quality kitchenware. A large island with 3 bar stools is the perfect spot to grab a quick snack or relax while chatting with the chef. Dining table offers seating for 6.

Step out double doors onto the spacious deck, great for summer BBQs amongst the treetops (gas grill provided seasonally) or simply taking in the fresh mountain air and unobstructed forest views.

The King primary bedroom is also located upstairs. Floor-to-ceiling windows give the impression that you're sleeping outside under the trees, but blackout shades can be drawn for those who wish to sleep past dawn's first light. Per Placer County Short term rental laws, quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am, and no street parking is permitted at any time, including boats and trailers. We recommend purchasing 3rd party trip insurance if you have concerns about canceling your reservation. Wells & Bennett Realtors requires $500 of your reservation total due upon booking and the remainder due sixty days prior to check-in. We automatically add Vacation Rental Accidental Damage Insurance to your reservation. This costs $55 total. If you want to satisfy our Accidental Damage Insurance requirement another way, you can reach out to us and opt in for a refundable security deposit of $3,000 on the card we have on file for the reservation.

Cancellation Policy / Cancellation fee: If cancellation is made more than 60 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will be applied.
If the cancellation is made within 60 (or less) days of arrival, the entire rent will be retained unless Wells and Bennett Realtors is able to re-rent the specified property.
If the property is re-rented, a cancellation fee of $100 plus the 4% booking fee will still apply, but the remainder of rent will be refunded after the replacement guests have checked out.

CHRISTMAS - Check-In must be by December 20th, 21st, or 22nd. There is a 5 to 7 night minimum stay required. (Must check out by December 28th at latest, to allow 7 days for a New Years Reservation.) **No Check-Ins or Check-Outs on December 24th or 25th
NEW YEARS - Check-In must be on December 27, 28, or 29. There is a 7 night minimum stay required. **No Check-Ins or Check-Outs on December 31st or January 1st
