- "liked the neighborhood. The proprietor was onsite and helpful. Everything was fine. Wish there was a hair dryer." - "The apartment was nice, and communication was good. The price is fair, and it's better than staying at a hotel. But there were a few small problems and one big problem. The gate latch into backyard sticks and is difficult to open. You have to scale several large steps down to apartment which is challenging with heavy luggage. The kitchen is not well stocked and lacks a toaster, the knives are dull, and one of the teflon pots is scratched badly. They didn't provide wash clothes for the bathroom, only bath towels and hand towels. There were no shampoos/conditioners, so be sure to bring your own. The bathroom fan switch knob is missing so the bathroom steams up bad which can't be good for mold long term. But the biggest thing was the bed - they didn't have a fitted sheet, only an old, stained loose top sheet draped on top of the mattress, and the mattress itself was filthy - full of hair and lint on a fabric mattress cover that looked to have never been washed. We found this out at 10:30 pm when we went to bed, and instead of contacting the owner that late we found another loose sheet and blankets we could put on top of the dirty mattress. Another annoyance was there is no thermostat in this apartment. If you want to change the temp, you have to email the host and she does it from upstairs. She responded promptly, but it was annoying to have to ask to change the temp, especially if you want it colder at night and warmer in the day."

Ideally situated on the eastern side of beautiful Lake Sammamish for fabulous sunsets and a tranquil setting, the Cottage on Sammamish is a newly renovated vacation venue. You feel rested and away from the busy world. Many people say it feels you are in a boat with the large windows facing and very near the lake.
Yet, just up the hill from the house (5 min drive) is a large Safeway and a multitude of convenient take-away shops and restaurants. 10 mins north and you are in the middle of Redmond (Microsoft town!) and the Redmond Town Centre. 10 mins south and you have Costco, Bestbuy, FredMeyer, etc on the pretty town of Issaquah. Both towns are linked with a pretty well preserved state trail that passes on the back of the Cottage, where you can walk, run or bike. The cottage also is close to Seattle itself. - "We stayed here while our house was being restored from a water leak and we loved this house! Location was beautiful. The highlights were the trail right outside the house, the proximity to the public beach, the large kitchen outfitted with every gadget you may need, the large blackstone grill on the patio and the lower patio. It comfortably slept 10 people. Additionally, Rick was super accommodating for our early check-in as well as was very responsive even during the holiday weekend. We would stay here again. "
