- "A little difficult to get to and AC didn't work for us. Otherwise the place was reasonable" - "It seemed as if this was the property owners first rental. Sparse directions prior to arriving, the door lock combination provided did not work and the right combination took over an hour to get, the building entrance code never did work and I had to traipse through garage to reach room, no directions on how the electronic lock worked or even how to lock the room, and I had to find the parking information from the on-site manager not related to owner (thank goodness they were there). Room was clean but amenities sparse with no extras such as salt/pepper. No hair dryer. Iron but no ironing board. No coffee, K-cups, or tea--most units I've rented include at least a few. Most disruptive was that the internet did not work. Repeatedly a non-functioning password was given, and I had to cross the street to use internet at Starbucks. An Amazon firestick was provided but was useless without the code to use it. These errors meant that I could not do any computer work or watch any programming in the unit itself. Lastly, although the neighborhood was quiet, the room had significant random noise from the building utility room located just beneath room. Note—My sister stayed in a different unit same building and had none of the same problems I did. My conclusion an amateur owner who should not be renting. "

Did not need to contact the host for anything; everything was satisfactory for us. Wonderful single family house located between Seattle and Bellevue on Mercer Island. You can enjoy all the amenities the Seattle area offers staying in a quiet environment surrounded by the beautiful Lake Washington! Two minute’s walk to beach. Mercer Island is fantastic to bicycle – we’ve provided 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes, along with helmets. Exploring the gorgeous Pacific Northwest is so easy from here; Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Peninsula, the San Juan Islands are all within 2 hours.

I do wish there was baby gear (pack and play and simple high chair) but we were lucky to have friends in the area we borrowed from (and Sunny communicated they didn’t have it before we came. When a problem arose (AC not working) it was addressed and remedied. The location was excellent for being “tourists”, and the space allowed adults to hang upstairs and kids downstairs. When you stay here, you'll be right in the heart of Mercer Island (1 mile to I-90 and 6 miles to downtown Seattle and downtown Bellevue). You're also within walking distance (1/2 miles) of multiple parks, including Mercerdale Park, Homestead Filed, and Clise Park, as well as numerous grocery stores like Metropolitan Market and QFC. But if you prefer eating out, there are several shops, coffee shops, and restaurants located several blocks away. If your stay is over the weekend, don't forget to check out Mercer Island Farmers Market open between 10AM-3PM on Sunday.

From the home, there are also several public beaches within a 1-mile radius (Calkins Point Sand Beach is a local favorite).

Other Things to Note:
1- The hot water tank is a smaller size. If you're traveling with a larger group (more than 5 people), please stagger your showers to ensure everyone has access to hot water.
2- Street parking can be a little tricky. 2 parking spots on the driveway is dedicated for guests.
3- No central AC

- "We decided to spend a month on Mercer Island with the kids and could not have been happier with the property. Very spacious, well appointed, and well maintained. On the outside, the back yard is enormous with plenty of room. The upstairs patio has a wonderful sitting area where we enjoyed watching the sunsets. The management company was always very prompt, easy to communicate with, and very attentive. We had one minor problem during our month stay and they were on it immediately. The neighborhood itself is very quiet and a pleasant walk to downtown. (Uphill on the way back so get ready!) A very comfortable month for our family and highly recommend this property!"

Hi! Thank you so much for your inquiry and possible booking! Due to the increased rate of credit card fraud with booking accommodations, we may now require the following verification process in some instances at the hosts discretion :

You agree to the following by booking this unit-

1.The rules of this community require a simple background check. Please share a photo of your ID and the credit card used for booking in this message thread (Note we do not have a front desk at our property so this is the only time you will have to show this). This information is collected for verification purposes only and is not stored or otherwise used by our team or affiliates.

-Please share a LinkedIn or social media profile if you have no reviews or references.

- Please share the names of each guest staying in the unit and their emails. If you fail to provide this information- there may be a delay in receiving your check-in instructions because we have a strict screening policy required by the owner of the property.

2. A refundable security deposit of $500 will be charged for one-night weekend bookings or at the host’s discretion. Guest will be notified in advance of charge and refunded within 7 days following the checkout if the guest did not violate the rental terms or damage property.

4. SMOKING: whether inside your unit, in a common area or roof deck, no smoking of any substance is allowed. Smoke damage to a unit will result in a $1000 fee

5. KEYS: to return any access keys and remotes with a $50 replacement fee for every lost key and $250 for any remote or entry FOB. The best thing to do after checking out, is take a photo of your keyset, and text us you've left the keyset behind and have checked out.

7. Please take shoes off at door entrance.

8.Noise and neighbors- must keep noise to a minimum and reasonable level from 9pm till the next day. This is not a party house. If any issues with noise and parties, whether small, medium, or large, we will submit a claim and not return the security deposit we hold.
-We use noise monitoring sensors (Noiseaware) to detect noise (not recording), and if we receive notifications of excessive loud noises, we reserve the right to evict you after several attempts of us asking you to reduce noise.

-Background checks- we use Autohost to check backgrounds and may need to collect more information to go with your IDs and credit cards. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if you do not pass or or have any bad history.

- You Must accurately share how many guests are coming. If the number exceeds that, there will be a $500 minimum fee for each guest per day.
