It is not water front property, but there is only a neighborhood park and street between the house and lake providing easy access to the shore. The house was comfortable and well equipped with everything I needed for my stay." - "Friends, I just have to take a minute and tell you what a wonderful person and host Katherine was to my family. The short story is that my elderly mother, who lives nearby in the Coldspring’s area, had a tree fall on her house a few Sundays ago. She was not hurt, and friends came to help cover the roof, but the house was not livable due to water and power being knocked out in the storm. My mom uses a wheelchair or walker and has a nurse that provides care 5 days a week, so getting her somewhere comfortable was a priority. I found the cabin on VRBO and made a reservation. I contacted Katherine and explained the situation. I'm getting a little emotional even now, thinking about how Katherine immediately responded, offered to help, asked about my Mom, and provided accommodations to help get her comfortable as soon as possible. My deepest thanks to Katherine for all she did. In addition, the cabin is wonderful! Peaceful, yet close to the lake and activities. Huge windows to look out toward the trees and water. We were even surprised as herds of deer would walk by the patio as the sun would start to set, and Katherine responded with "Oh, yeah. There is some deer feed by the door" because this is such a common event. So, if you get the chance, don't pass up the opportunity to experience this get-away by Lake Livingston and enjoy the tranquility of East Texas. Charlie"

Our place is private and cozy! This 2 bedroom, one bath home is equipped with one comfy king in the main suite that has a Beautyrest mattress. Our second room has a queen sized padded memory foam bed. Our home is equipped with great wifi, 2 kayaks, and an outdoor shower. Kick back and enjoy any one of our outdoor relaxing areas. A nice breeze blows in from Lake Livingston most evenings all year round. The fishing is as plentiful as the bird sightings are abundant.

The driveway fits 2 cars comfortably. Our kayaks and paddle board are free to use. The outdoor furniture is good for your pets. Please keep pets of of indoor furniture and out of beds. Dog toys, blankets, and bowls are all available for your use. We have a corn hole game under the sofa and a laptop available on the desk if you need. Pleas see feel free to use any of our fishing equipment and water toys you see around the property. Cushions for the outdoor furniture is stored in the bins. Please lower umbrellas and place cushions back in bins each day and before check out.

This two-story cabin is situated on three grassy lots, in a quiet neighborhood, just a few feet from a sandy beach. The lake is shallow off the beach and is a perfect place for children to play. There just aren't many places on the lake where you can enjoy a personal sandy beach with easy access to the water.

When you enter our home, you'll see that the main floor has a fully outfitted kitchen, laundry room with washer & dryer, full bath, and a living area with a 46" TV. This downstairs area also offers a comfortable sitting area with a queen sofa bed.

The upstairs is an open plan with two queen beds, a bathroom (with shower), and a sitting area with a 55" TV. It opens onto a balcony overlooking the beach and lake; a perfect spot to have a morning cup of coffee and watch the wildlife.

Both TVs have Roku which lets you access streaming service such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and more (requires your own login). The cabin offers fiber WiFi, at no extra charge.

The cabin faces east, which means you can see beautiful sunrises and enjoy mostly shaded afternoons. Our wonderful shade trees help you stay cool on those summer afternoons.

Outside there is a covered porch and a large deck that is shaded most of the day, a hammock, gas grill (we provide the propane), a fire pit, and large, fenced yard. There are plenty of seating options to help you enjoy your stay. Also, there are two kayaks and a pedal boat for guests to use with no additional fee (we have a few life vests, but feel free to bring your own).

While the kitchen is great for cooking, there are also a number of restaurants within a short drive. There is a large grocery store and a few restaurants just five minutes away in Onalaska. Our home is located about midway between Hunstville and Livingston, both towns noted for numerous antique shops and great restaurants.

We do our best to clean and maintain the beach. However, the Trinity River brings a lot of debris into the lake and some of that debris can wash up on our beach, especially a few days after a storm up north. We appreciate your understanding.

Our favorite time is reclining in the peaceful shade, just a few steps from the beach, looking out over the lake and watching the many types of birds. We hope you will come visit and experience that joy for yourself.

This is an elevated beach house...on the point of a point on the lake...and (we believe) is the highest open-water view on this section of the lake. Full home office (dock, dual monitors, wireless mouse & keyboard, printer) allows you to work remotely (but please don't). We are premier hosts and have all 10-star reviews.

$100 surcharge for 2-night rentals will be reflected in your edited reservation. $150 surcharge to use our boatlift or double PWC lift for the duration of your stay.

Lake home with 3 bedrooms & 2 baths, open floor plan perfect for hanging out with friends and family! Panoramic, gorgeous views from the oversized (newly improved) 2-story deck (shade lower, sun upper). Master (queen bed) with bath (shower) and two guest bedrooms (queen bed in one, full/twin and twin/twin bunks in the other) share the second bath (tub/shower).

Ground-level features a screened-in porch with ceiling fans. Two large grassy areas with a 140-foot bulkhead water frontage for fishing and swimming. Firepits top (house level) and bottom (lakeside) with firewood provided. Two kayaks and a canoe, with life-preservers for adults and older kids (you will need your own for toddlers/infants). Rods and reels for amateurs (pros would be disappointed, so bring your own). Amazing lighting throughout the home, screen room and on the grounds.

The boat dock has a large shaded lower area for fishing and a giant upper-deck for sun and partying. The boat lift is electric and can handle a regular-sized boat up to a pontoon boat (5K lbs). Electric double PWC lift, too. If you need either lift, please advise in your reservation or inquiry.

The water level at our bulkhead is ~ 3 ft deep, making it a nice area to float with the young ones. Since you cannot see the bottom and there is no lifeguard, no diving and swim at your own risk. Watch the little ones closely, as the perimeter fence does not block waterline access.

Dog friendly with a fenced-in yard for a $25 per night, PER DOG fee up to 2 dogs (VRBO's quote to be manually adjusted if you have more than one dog). Dogs are not to be left alone on the property and are not permitted on beds or furniture, please. IF YOU ARE BRINGING PETS PLEASE LET ME KNOW TYPE(s) OF PET, NUMBER OF PETS AND THEIR WEIGHTS IN YOUR RESERVATION REQUEST. There is no fence preventing an old, clumsy, or careless pet from falling in the water over the bulkhead or dock and there is no way for an animal to get out on their own - so please watch them when loose.

This is a non-party, non-event, non-smoking property (smoking outside or on the deck is fine provided you leave no trace) but a great and quiet place for a small group of friends or family to get away from it all where we hope you'll treat our property like you would your own. Security cameras monitor the portico (2), deck (1), and boathouse (2). For privacy, guests may obscure/block the deck camera during their stay.

We are in a gated community with minimal traffic -- safe for kids to ride bikes with helmets -- and a fantastic community pool. Your name will be left with the ranger at the gate for initial entry and we have a key card for your continuing access during your stay. Nice getaway, only a little more than an hour from Houston.

Enjoy our 4 bed, 2 full bath 1880 Sqft mid-century modern lakehouse with beautiful lakeview from the front and at 100 steps from the back deck to the lively Cape Royale marina. You will be on lake time from the minute you arrive and can enjoy gorgeous sunsets in the evenings. Located on the south end of Lake Livingston with lots of open water. The 3 bedroom house has 2-queen beds and one set of bunk beds with pull out trundle plus a twin blow up bed and one on the couch. There are 1 full bathroom plus a 1/2 bath. The open floor plan is great for entertaining with a beautiful view of the lake and magnificent sunsets. A large porch faces the water for extra entertaining with ceiling fans for a cool breeze. Kitchen table seats 6 and 2 barstools at the island plus a picnic table on the porch with extra chairs. There is central a/c and heat, washer & dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and pots & pans. Bring food, drinks, paper goods, and sunscreen. The property has over a 100' bulkhead with an 8' sidewalk along the water's edge. Easy access to the water for swimming from the boathouse by a ladder. The ladder is at angle so it's easy to climb up or go down. For night fishing off boathouse there is an underwater light. There is a community boat ramp nearby or there is a public boat ramp about 3 miles away at Browder's.

- "Very easy check in and check out" - "Went with family and had a wonderful vacation here! The house was equipped with basically everything we needed. I now know not to pack so much next time and that will cut my pre-trip packing time in half. :) The house was clean and well maintained. High speed Internet TV was non glitchy and great! The boat dock was well lit for night fishing. Matter of fact, the entire property had flood lights so that we never had to light up a single lantern. We launched our paddle boat at their community boat launch. The entire property is on a steep slope so if you have mobility issues be very careful. I think I lost 10 pounds going up and down from the house to the dock which is good for me because I definately needed the exercise! Haha! They have a huge round swing hanging from their tree that my kids loved so much that I just ordered one from Amazon for our own tree at home! Charles (the owner next door) was awesome in helping us the entire time including the use of their fish cleaning station on their personal dock so that we could clean and filet our fresh caught catfish each night. They have 2 ladders and a swing rope on the dock. My teens loved swimming back and forth from the boat launch to the dock. This place was an excellent experience! We will definately be back!
