Good ol' fashion keys for the rooms instead of key cards so double check your key cause one of ours didn't work, that was the only down side but it didnt bother us. Rooms were always made up and you had a little kitchen (stove top, minifridge, sink, counter, table) with pots, pans, toaster and coffee maker in each room. Highway and Parlee Beach are about 5 minutes from the hotel and the restaurant attached serves a great and inexpensive breakfast. Be sure to check out The Fisherman restaurant next door and giant lobster down the road. "

Welcome to our labor of love, ~The Balancing Rock Flat~. Nestled just off the shores of Shediac Bay and minutes from downtown Shediac and Parlee Beach. Our space is a perfect blend of modern comforts and functionality for all travellers alike.

We understand the importance of rest and wanted to create a space that would give others the opportunity to truly unwind. Our home is situated on an acre of land that is surrounded by trees and gardens. We hope you love it as much as we do!

We chose to create a very calming vibe. The two bedrooms are modestly decorated. We focused our efforts on ensuring our queen size beds are incredibly comfortable by offering 100% cotton sheets, along with a cozy and soft mattress cover that adds an extra level of comfort for those who appreciate it, along with different degrees of pillow firmness to ensure that everyone gets a pillow that is right for them. The couch in the living room pulls out into another queen size bed - there is also a luxurious mattress topper for this sleeping accommodation too. Although the dining room set is for four people, there are two comfortable stools located at our breakfast bar. The smart tv is ready to connect with any of your streaming accounts should you choose this. Our goal is to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, and if there is something that has been forgotten please don’t ever hesitate to reach out so that we can try and make things right!

There is a platform style patio with a privacy wall that has been designated for our guests.

I have a wellness studio in my living space where I offer energy treatments working with various modalities, along with nutritional and lifestyle coaching. Those who are interested in booking a session can contact me directly for availability and fees.

Welcome to Jess & Remi's cottage, located in the Pointe-du-Chênes. Our property is walking distance from the Wharf, Beach (Parlee Beach), Marina and Restaurants. From the front porch you have a slight water view where you can relax and enjoy the sunset. Down the street there is a local boat launch where you can soak your feet in the fresh salty water. For a bit more variety Shediac is a 4 minute lazy car ride away which also has the famous Sunday morning Market and the worlds largest lobster.

The space
This property has 2 bedroom. One has a double bed, the other has a bunk bed with a double bed and single bed. There is a sofa bed in the living room. There is a Mini Split Heat Pump for AC and Heat. There's also a BBQ grill on a huge deck with lots of seating space. Kitchen is FULLY equipped and a complete bathroom with tub and shower is provided which also has a washer and dryer for your convenience.

The City of Shediac offers many excellent restaurants serving succulent seafood to tempt your palate, a corridor of lights at night, cafés, grocery stores, banks, parks, a water play area and interactive fountains for kids in the downtown park, walking and biking trails, a shopping center, a Neptune Drive-in, a sailing school, boutiques, art galleries, a Sunday farmer’s market, museums, golf clubs, cultural activities and festivals, such as the famous Shediac Lobster Festival in July, as well the World’s Largest Lobster sculpture.

Approximately 5 minutes away by car, you will be able to take a refreshing dip at the famous Parlee Beach Provincial Park, one of North America's finest beaches and home of the warmest salt water in Canada. With waters peaking at 24 degrees Celcius (75 degrees Fahrenheit), it is the warmest water north of Virginia. This park also includes a supervised swimming beach, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, football, a sand-sculpture competition, and daily scheduled sports activities.

Two marinas are also situated in the Shediac area; the downtown Shediac Bay Yatch Club Marina and the Point du Chêne Marina where you can rent boats, visit boutiques and the Homarus Eco-Centre, fish on the wharf with the locals, and purchase boat cruises.

- "We were extremely disappointed with our stay. The listing clearly stated the property had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which was not accurate. Additionally, it was advertised as a non-smoking rental, but the unit had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke from the moment we arrived. When we mentioned the smell to the host, they downplayed the issue, suggesting perhaps one person had smoked there. However, the strong, persistent odor made it clear this wasn’t a one-time occurrence. The conditions were unacceptable, and we felt misled by the listing. We ultimately chose to leave the next day. We contacted the host on multiple occasions but received no response."

My home is a spacious single family dwelling with plenty of room, amenities and a view of the Northhumberland Strait. Situated on a 1-acre treed property, the deed holds a “right-of-way access” to the beach and creek. Kayaks can be launched on the creek at high tide or nearby areas.

Guests will enjoy a morning coffee with comfortable furnishings, sunlight rooms or sit outdoors in the screened-in pergola. The shaded front deck, overlooking the water, is a favourite spot for sipping afternoon refreshments to wind down the day.

If you are looking for a good night’s rest, you are in for a treat. Provided in the roomy master bedroom, is a heavenly king size bed with 3 piece ensuite. The guest room provides a relaxing queen size bed with the main bathroom (4 piece) across the hall. One premium single air bed is also available. If cooking is your pleasure, the well equipped kitchen, with island, will meet your needs. Included outdoors, is a quality Webber BBQ.

The sunroom poses as a cozy living room area for quiet mornings as you watch the birds feasting at their feeders.

There are two wall heating/air conditioner exchange units. One in the main living space and one in the master bedroom, both have separate controls.

The scent free home is equipped with an air purifier for dust and allergies, a single cup coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave, cordless Dyson Vacuum, single induction burner, convection oven, instant pot/slow cooker, protein drink blender, big screen smart TV including Apple TV with Prime, Disney, Brit Box, CBC Gem, and You Tube subscriptions, etc yoga mat, piano, inkjet photo copier, clothesline, and vegetable garden.

While our bay area beach is very private, Caissie Cape and Parlee Beach are just 15 minutes away. Beach accessories are available for use - 4 heavy duty canvas folding chairs, small and large cooler, ice packs, suntan lotions, beach towels, folding wagon, drinking bottles/thermos.

Bella, a 7 year old Portuguese Waterdog, is my companion. She is hypoallergenic and has hair not fur. Therefore, she does not have a dog odour.

As a watercolorist, I teach watercolour painting lessons in my home, off season. The table space makes for a comfortable games/hobby/quilting/artistic set up to hone your craft.

Currently, the deck and flower gardens are under renovation and will be completed by mid June. New pictures will follow when completed.

Equipped with washer/dryer combo and a dishwasher to keep your life simple, and a gas range to cook the best cookies and enjoy them with coffee and board games on a rainy / snowy day.
Guest access:
We are located in Cornwall Point area, on one of the dead-end roads. It has a very easy access through the highway just after Exit 1 to Shediac, yet very much secluded away from traffic and noise.
Other things to note:
Please note we have limited sizes of life jackets. We will be happy to lend you the ones available. However, we recommend bringing yours if you wear a special size.
