The natural light that floods in is wonderful, so that even on the rainy days it felt bright and airy. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets were soft and the towels were fluffy. The check in process was smooth and Johanna responded quickly to any questions we had, which were very few because she has binder of recommendations on hand which provided us with so much amazing information. We really didn't need to plan a single thing in advance; we used her suggestions and planned on the go. The assortment of beach gear (chairs, mats, sand toys, boogie board ...etc.) and the required Park Pass) were huge assets! We loved the proximity to Charlottetown as we saw three shows that were playing and enjoyed many of the restaurants on Main Street (Piatto's Pizza, Merchant Man) and we enjoyed hanging out at both Stanhope & Brackley beaches. The highly popular Richard's Seafood restau is just two minutes by car. Another highlight is an afternoon spent having lunch and strolling through the galleries and gorgeous gardens at the Dunes Cafe, which is also just a ten minute drive. Dalvay By the Sea is also less than 10 minutes by car. There are also fabulous, flat bike paths within a couple of kilometres from the home. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and if/when we return to P.E.I we would love to rent this home again!"

Welcome to “Serenity Place” located in Stanhope, PEI, on the Northshore. Just outside the National park. Five minute walk to the famous Covehead lighthouse along with my favorite beach “Stanhope Cape”, with rich red sand. PLEASE NOTE Your living space is IN MY HOME on the second level. Your space has two large rooms bedroom and sitting room along with a new powder room (toilet and sink) in the unit. Shower is shared with one other person(myself) in the main bath. well appointed and colourful.
On quiet evenings you might just hear the waves of the ocean breeze and the smell of the salty air while sitting around the campfire on my property.

My home sits on my one acre lot, completely run on solar power.

The space
Walk into a large open concept kitchen and living room, with a cozy gas fireplace to keep you warm and comfortable.
A sliding door opens to a beautiful 3 season room with 180 degrees of sunlight. Comfortable seating and sliding windows throughout makes this is a perfect area to spend your evenings, no matter the weather.
Down the hall is 3 spacious bedrooms with large windows and plenty of closet space. The master bedroom has a king size bed, walk in closet and ensuite bathroom. With two more bedrooms across the hallway, featuring a queen bed in one and two twins in the other, there is plenty of space for you and your family. Additional sound proofing between all of the bedrooms will ensure that you have the quiet and relaxing getaway that you're looking for.
Guest access
Idlewood is perfectly nestled in a quiet, single road access neighbourhood. There are two parking spots on the property.
Beach access is only a short walk away along a forested trail.
With a national park pass, visitors will have access to even more of the Islands best beaches nearby. There are even local beaches that provide lifeguard services, washrooms and other amenities.

Containing vaulted ceilings, natural light, and brand new finishings throughout, it’s a short walk or drive to National Park beaches, trails & attractions, tasty dining, world-famous golf, and a 20-minute drive to Charlottetown. No detail has been spared in this 900 square foot cottage that punches above its weight. It was renovated and (re)designed by two native Islanders, one an experienced home builder and the other an author & content manager in the tourism industry, in 2020.

The decor takes inspiration from the natural environment that surrounds it, which can best be described as "contemporary-coastal", giving it a very relaxed feel. Think natural woods, clean lines, rattan furniture, locally-made artwork, greenery, soft materials in linens, towels & furniture, and soothing beach tones with tasteful pops of colour.

Open concept kitchen, living room, and breakfast nook with vaulted ceilings and stunning natural light throughout. Down the hall, you’ll find a spare room with a luxurious queen bed. At the back of the cottage is the primary bedroom with views of the surrounding spruce trees and a walk-in closet. The modest bathroom contains a stand-up shower and washer & dryer.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and island for prepping, dining, entertaining and, of course, shucking oysters! Brand new heat pump offers air conditioning for those hot summer days and plenty of coziness for a winter retreat.

A huge deck spans the front and both sides of the cottage, with the east side making a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun. The large lawn off the deck offers an ideal space to have a bonfire, play lawn games with friends & family, and enjoy the outdoor shower!

There is never a dull moment in the coastal area of Stanhope... unless, of course, you want there to be! Everything you need to enjoy your vacation is within walking distance or a 5-minute drive, and the capital city of Charlottetown is a quick 20-minute car ride.

- "The place was great. It was located centrally, so nothing was too far to get to, yet it was not in a larger community. A few downsides: no good place to put our suitcases; "check-in" signs could have been more obvious; Warren's road, which you need to travel down to get to the place, is a dirt road, so you wonder if you are actually on the right road.
