It is engaging in lawn games - cornhole, frisbee, disc golf, life size chess, and more. Book a Tee-time and play on a design winning golf course, or take a bike ride along the bi-ways to the free river ferry crossing and back.

It is relaxing on the back porch with a good read in your lap, dog by your side, while overlooking the serene and private water views. Overhead fans boosting the enveloping water breeze to keep you cool on a warm sunny day. Relax around the fire pit (firewood provided) making s’mores and memories. Let’s take a tour of the house!
The second floor is your Master Suite with En/Suite bath - full shower, jacuzzi tub, and washer/dryer. Options include King OR 2 twins. Additional day bed and trundle available. This suite accommodates up to 4.

First floor hosts 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Queen bed in one room with mini en-suite bathroom. Two twin beds in room across the hall. The full hall bathroom serves these two bedrooms.

Walk down the main hallway and enter into the Great Room. Complete with views of the water. Find cozy seating around the fireplace, or enjoy a family style meal at the hand made recycled barn wood farm table. Prepare just about anything in the fully stocked kitchen while taking in sweeping views of the water at every turn.

Walk seamlessly onto the entertainment sized covered rear porch where you will find overhead fans to keep you cool or wool throws to keep you warm when needed. Enjoy your coffee on the porch while watching the morning sun glisten over the water. Listen to the earth come to life and enjoy being a part of it.

Step down to the lower deck to grill fresh oysters, and enjoy various seating options that all overlook the water. To the left will be multiple kayaks equipped with oars and life vests. Various outdoor activities including, disc golf, bicycles, crab pots, and much much more. ALL COMPLIMENTARY for our guests. Look to the right and you can find the fire pit, hammock, and life size chess set.

OPTIONAL CABIN available when the weather is right (May through October) for reservations of groups over 6 - this is located to the left of the main house. Equipped with 2 twin beds and a window AC for the warmer nights. Enjoy a separate outdoor entrance and some extra privacy.

It's always a great time to be near water and you can't go wrong at UpYonda. Located within a stones throw of the Chesapeake Bay, if you bring your boat you'll be able to launch it from a local marina and tie it up at the house. We offer plenty of dock space and a 4' MLW at the end of the dock. Store your trailer in the secondary parking area to the side of the house.

We now offer high speed internet service with COMPLIMENTARY YouTube TV. Our internet will accommodate multiple computers. Great for remote learning and/or working away from the office.

- "We loved our time here. The house is exactly as it looks in the photos, and is very well equipped for a comfortable stay. We had six people in the house- my husband and myself, our kids (7 & 9), and my parents- and we never get cramped or like we were tripping over one another. We played yard games, kayaked, fished, and enjoyed the view. The hosts were quick to point us to a local boat ramp (Smith Point) that didn’t require a ride out into the bay to get to the house. I recommend taking the trip to Tangier while you’re there. It’s a neat place and was almost exactly the same as when I visited twenty years ago. The boat ride is fun and we saw a school of bottle nosed dolphins on the way back. We got dinner from Reedville Market one night and pizza from the Dairy Barn on Friday. Both were excellent. The ice cream shop was also great. We also found a small public beach nearby (Vir-Mar Beach) that was perfect for the kids to play and splash around on. We can’t wait to come back!"

The Parsonage on King, built in 1836, serves as the perfect place to base yourself for any visit to the Eastern Shore!

The homes sleeps 8 people comfortably with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths including 1 BR and bath on the first floor. Additional sleeping accommodations include a loft perfect for kids with 2 twin beds as well as a pullout couch in the downstairs sunroom.

The main level of the house includes a living room with smart TV, Bluetooth connected stereo, couch, puzzles and books. The fully equipped kitchen opens to the dining room/sunroom and the back porch with gas grill.

The Town Wharf is only steps away where you can launch a boat at the public ramp or rent kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. The passenger ferry to Tangier Island also departs from there. Onancock is home many small, locally run business included restaurants, shops, galleries, movie theater, coffee shop and a bakery that residents come from miles around to visit...all of this within walking distance from the Parsonage!

The town of Chincoteague and Assateague National Park are a fun day trip where you can swim or surf at a guarded beach, hike or bike, see wild horses and visit a brewery or water park.

Additional fun side trips include a winery, The Barrier Islands Center, the town of Cape Charles, Savage Neck Dunes and the town of Wachapreague which is home to a popular restaurant with outstanding water views. Also out of Wachapreague you can charter a boat to take you fishing, birding, shell collecting or just exploring on the undeveloped barrier islands.

We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed being around the corner from Mallards which we’ve been to many times over the years. Short walk into town. I enjoyed Sea Glass Cottage as a vacation rental SO much.... I bought it! You can still enjoy all it's charms and convenient location too.
Onancock is central to all the exciting sights, sounds, and recreation on the Eastern Shore between the historic and scenic Chesapeake Bay and the Ocean. Beaches, boating, kayaking, biking, hiking, wildlife and some of the nations best birdwatching, golf and much much more all at your fingertips! Onancock itself is a delightful small village of interesting and eclectic attractions - excellent restaurants and watering holes, first rate galleries, a wonderful farmers market on Saturdays, old fashioned movie theater with first run movies, live performance venues and so much more. There's a passenger ferry to Tangier at the town wharf for exciting adventures on the bay. Rent bikes and kayaks too. A short trip north takes you to the outstanding beaches and wild pony adventures to be had at Chincoteague and Assateague islands among other nearby destinations. You're going to love it.

- "Sea Glass is a wonderful place to stay in Onancock. Very close to downtown and all the fun with art galleries, great restaurants, and bars. My wife and I highly recommend Sea Glass. Best WI-FI and fully stocked kitchen. Very clean and well maintained home. The cottage is an easy walk to galleries and restaurants in "downtown" Onancock, and there is information at the cottage about other attractions and activities available on the Eastern Shore. Mallard's provided a delightful dockside dining experience, complete with beautiful sunset and live acoustic music. Second Friday Art Crawl gave us an opportunity to visit several of the galleries exhibiting local art and meet the artists. Didn't use the backyard as much as we hoped to -- it's an expansive space complete with picnic table, grill, and firepit, but it was too hot while we were there to spend much time outside! The cottage is comfortably furnished with a lot of original artwork, and the host is readily available to answer questions. All in all, a perfectly lovely week!"

- "This cozy location was so delightful. It was secluded, quiet, felt like you were in the middle of no where with no one to bother you, even though a few houses are around it. Just very peaceful and relaxing! The owner was super flexible and accommodating! She also gave us info on how to rent kayaks that are delivered to the house! We didn't want to leave!
