The Lake House is updated and equipped with everything you will need for your getaway - 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms with shower/tub combos and one half bath.

Enjoy cooking meals in the full kitchen with everything you will need to prepare and share meals at home. The kitchen is stocked with everything from plates and glasses to cookware, serving dishes, utensils, toaster, blender. Nothing has been overlooked!

The kitchen has a Keurig coffee maker that will make individual cups of coffee or up to a 12 cup pot of coffee for a crowd! We include a starter supply of K-cups, sugar packets and creamers as well as coffee filters for making a pot of coffee. You will need to supply ground coffee and any additional coffee/sugar/creamer you will need beyond what is provided.

Our bathrooms are stocked with towels, hand towels and wash cloths as well as a starter supply of toilet paper - 2 rolls per bathroom.

The living room has a 46 inch Smart TV - bring your own password to login to your Netflix, Prime, Hulu accounts. There is no cable TV. You will need to login into your personal streaming accounts.

The kids will LOVE the retro arcade! And the adults will be transported back in time while playing the games. The arcade has Terminator II, Mars Attacks Pinball, Ms. Pacman cocktail game table, and Wheel of Fortune for endless fun in the evenings or rainy days.

Take the kayaks out on the lake (April - October) or bring your pole and go fishing!

Grill outside on the deck overlooking the lake and enjoy dinner under the stars on the picnic table. Finish the day with a fire in the Fire pit or a soak in the Hot Tub. It doesn't get any better!

Welcome to our beach house, just a block from the Cove Point Beach on the Chesapeake Bay. Start your beach day by grabbing the beach wagon from the shed, loading it up with beach chairs, towels, and your cooler. A short stroll takes you to the beach, where you can spend the day searching for shark teeth and shells or swimming in the bay's refreshing waters. The first camera is located on the front corner of the home facing the driveway and the second camera is located on the beam above the porch facing the fire pit and the dock. There is a boat launch less than .5 miles from home. The perfect destination for fishing/crabbing, boating, water activities, or just relaxing with a book, watching the boats pass by from the living room or lawn.
The upper level is completely renovated, featuring a new kitchen, bath, and two bedrooms. The kitchen, dining, and living areas offer breathtaking panoramic views of the water. A wood stove and firewood are provided for the cooler months.

You can hear the waves of the Chesapeake Bay from the trex deck. There are two community beaches you can access in the neighborhood, Seashorse and Driftwood, where you can find fossils and sharks teeth and see plenty of nature. A great place to relax and unwind. You will hear the sounds of all kinds of birds, see lots of very tiny frogs and maybe some deer! You can also expect to see and hear all kinds of aircraft from Pax River Base fly overhead!

The space
Bedroom with twin trundle beds on the main floor. Spiral stairs to the loft and queen size bed with small balcony outside. There is no bathroom in the loft. The bathroom is on the main floor and is small. We provide extra linens for the extra trundle and couch space, if needed.
The house is heated with electric baseboard heat on the lower level and a mini-split in the loft.

You may access the basement separately from the outside where we keep beach chairs and the washer and dryer.

The kitchen has a full fridge, electric range/oven and large single basin sink. As well as everything you need to prepare and enjoy a meal. The kitchen also has a microwave, keurig coffee maker and dishwasher.

Your living room is appointed with a 32 inch smart TV. Login to your Netflix, Hulu or Prime TV account and watch your favorite movie or show.

While this property is not directly on the water, the water is all around us and our property has seasonal water views. You can take a 5 minute walk down the road to Vera's and be right on the water for lunch/dinner and water fun.

Solomons boardwalk is a 10 minute drive down the road with the best seafood this area has to offer. Drive (or take an Uber if you want throw back a couple cocktails) to Solomons and enjoy the best sunset you've seen in a long time.

You will walk the gravel path along the side of the house and across the length of the back of the property to find the Garden Cottage. Please see pictures in the listing showing the walk. It's about 250 feet of gravel path from the parking area to the Cottage. **

A complete picnic basket is in the kitchen pantry for you to use and enjoy at the local beaches, parks or on the dock. Please be sure to clean, dry and return all the items to the basket for the next guests to use.

The Manor resides on 3 secluded acres. Close to everything Southern Maryland has to offer, yet feels a million miles away.

The Courtyard Studio suite is tiny living at it's finest! Perfect for one person, but will accommodate two people who enjoy a minimalist footprint. Every inch of this suite is maximized to ensure you're not missing any luxuries in your cozy space.

The studio suite has a private courtyard with a fountain and sitting area and it's own private entrance. There are no spaces (other than the 3 acres of property grounds) that are shared with other guests or the owners.

The Courtyard Studio has a well equipped kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave and small sink as well as cutlery, dishes and a Keurig coffee maker.

You'll find a starter supply of coffee pods, sugar packets, toilet paper (3), and paper towels (1).

Your room is appointed with a 32 inch smart TV. BYOP to login to your Netflix, Hulu or Prime TV account and watch your favorite movie or show.

High Speed WIFI is available.

Your room has a comfortable, plush full size bed, as well as a sitting chair and side table for working or eating.

Everything in the studio - from the fixtures to the tile, to the furniture - is brand new.

Guest Access:
You have access to the Courtyard Studio Suite which is a one room accommodation (which is completely separate from the Main House) consisting of a bedroom/living room with a full size bed, a chair and side table and a small kitchenette with a mini fridge and microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Guests will enjoy a small private courtyard with a fountain and a separate, private entrance.

Everything SOMD has to offer is within a 10-15 minute drive -
Solomon's Island Boardwalk and restaurants, Calvert Cliffs State Park beaches and hiking, Fishing, boating and marinas are all within a short drive.

Welcome to our Southern MD beach house. This 3 bedroom and 2 bath home is situated on nearly 1.5 acres of property where you can breathe deep and take in the bay breeze. Whether it is visiting one of the Chesapeake Bay beaches only a 3 minute drive from the home, or watching for wildlife in our yard (it is common to see deer, rabbits, birds, etc), life in Calvert County will slow you down and help you take a much needed break from the daily grind. And you don't even have to cross the Bay Bridge!

The space

Newly renovated, this single level 1,920 square foot home will delight you at every turn. Rooms w/vaulted ceilings, a fun kids' loft space, nautical + airy design. Perfect for romantic getaways, small group retreats, or family trips.

So, why "waffle house"? You'll receive a welcome basket upon arrival which includes goodies like Old Bay chips, bottled water, and you guessed it....waffle mix! We have a Belgian waffle maker for your use during your stay located next to the refrigerator.

Ready for activities? Other than hunting for fossils and sharks' teeth at our beaches, we have many amenities at the house including a volleyball/badminton net, tree swing, hammocks, horseshoes, fire pit, basketball hoop, outdoor and indoor toys, books + board games, an air hockey and mini pool table, and much more. Beach gear (toys, umbrella, sifters, and more) and child sized fishing poles are available for you to borrow on your outings.

Our community boasts 2 private sandy beaches for swimming and beach fun, Lake Lariat for fishing & boating, hiking trails, playgrounds, and campgrounds.

Our backyard extends into the woods behind the house. Feel free to explore the backyard woods (there are mulched paths in a loop throughout). Our property is marked by orange ropes on the sides and a dry creek bed at the rear. **As always when you are hiking, be aware of your surroundings. There may be poison ivy, bugs, snakes, etc... you're out in the wilderness after all! Enjoy, but take care.**

I am an experienced host and do my best to be accommodating to anything my guests need, but know that I and my house are imperfect and I do not have the resources of a large hotel chain. I am quite forgiving of small issues that come up, especially if you just let me know about them ahead of time. The Space:
This is the tranquil getaway you're looking for! Bay breezes off the water, coffee on the screened porch in the morning, an afternoon kayak on the lake, an evening soak in the hot tub or a glass of wine on the pier at sunset while the kids play in the retro arcade.

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in nature with modern amenities, look no further!

The Lake House is updated and equipped with everything you will need for your getaway - 3 spacious bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The primary bedroom ensuite has a large shower, while the hall bath and the lower level ensuite have tubs.

Enjoy cooking meals in the full kitchen with everything you will need to prepare and share meals at home. The kitchen is stocked with everything from plates and glasses to cookware, serving dishes, utensils, toaster, blender. Nothing has been overlooked!

The kitchen has a Keurig coffee maker that will make individual cups of coffee or up to a 12 cup pot of coffee for a crowd! We include a starter supply of K-cups and sugar as well as coffee filters for making a pot of coffee. You will need to supply ground coffee and any additional coffee/sugar/creamer you will need beyond what is provided.

Our bathrooms are stocked with towels, hand towels and wash cloths as well as a starter supply of toilet paper - 2 rolls per bathroom.

The living room has a 42 inch Smart TV - bring your own password to login to your Netflix, Prime, Hulu accounts. There is no cable TV. You will need to login into your personal streaming accounts.

The kids will LOVE the retro arcade! And the adults will be transported back in time while playing the retro Nintendo games. The arcade has an electronic dart board, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II, Ms. Pacman cocktail table with 60 additional games and a Marvel electronic pinball machine! Endless fun in the evenings or rainy days.

Take the kayaks out on the lake (April - October) or bring your pole (and fishing permit) and walk down to the rocks and go fishing in the Patuxent River!

Grill outside on the deck overlooking the lake and enjoy dinner under the stars on the picnic table. Finish the day with a glass of wine on the Pier watching the boats go by on the river. It doesn't get any better!

Our home is located in a water access community. You will have access to the community beaches.

The neighborhood is laid back and friendly. You can bring your fishing pole and walk down the street (2 minute walk) to the river and fish off the rocks!

Other Things to Note:
Please understand that we are sharing our lake cabin as a relaxing getaway with family and friends and fun in nature and on the water. This space is not meant for parties. We require that quiet hours are observed after 10pm out of respect for our neighbors and in keeping with the peaceful nature of our community.

For additional peace of mind, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance as we unfortunately cannot act as insurance in the case of unforeseen circumstances. We do uphold our cancellation policy. Thank you for your understanding!

We are close to hiking & biking trails, local hospitals and loads of restaurants and shopping! Like wine? Enjoy several local wineries - Cove Point Winery & Perigeaux Winery to name a couple. How about nature & hiking? We're only a few minutes from both Calvert Cliffs & Jefferson Patterson Park. We are approximately 20 minutes from PAX Naval Base, and a short, 5 minute drive to Cove Point Park (basketball, tennis and a pool (seasonal). We are only 3 minutes from Cove Point Gas Plant, 10 minutes from Calvert Cliffs Power Plant, as well as Solomons, MD and museums (Calvert Marine Museum & Ann-Marie Gardens). We are midway between Medstar Hospital in Leonardtown, MD & Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD. We're also near to the Patuxent River where you can enjoy tiki boat trips, fishing dining and walking the boardwalk. Water views surround the property situated on a quiet creek with a private dock. Enjoy all the property has to offer: dine outside at one of the two large tables, fish or crab off the dock, take a kayak or paddle board ride up the creek, or enjoy a dockside cocktail while watching the sunset. Just a short drive, Uber or boat ride to Solomon's Island bars & restaurants, Calvert Cliffs, Cove Point Lighthouse and much more.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway; peaceful and in a quiet neighborhood along Mill Creek in the Drum Point community. Beach access is provided to the Drum Point community private beach. Nice view of Mill Creek from the kitchen and living room and back deck. An A-Frame style house with three levels; three bedrooms with 2 king beds and 1 queen bed. Additional sleeping spots can be accommodated using the couch and air mattresses upon request.

This is an open A-Frame style house with floor to ceiling windows on the back providing full view of Mill Creek behind the house.

The main bedroom is on the main floor with the bathroom directly across the hall. It has a king size bed.

Upstairs there's a loft bedroom with a half bathroom and claw foot tub. It has a king size bed.

Downstairs in the basement is the third bedroom with a queen bed and full private bathroom. Also in the basement are two sun rooms.

Note: There is a private pier and boat house, but currently it's not easy to get down there as there was some erosion that took out the stairs from the deck going down to the water. We're in the process of repairing and rebuilding; currently tied up in the government permit process. We've discounted prices until the new stairs are rebuilt after which the prices will increase with that amenity available again. We do provide you with a beach access hangtag to use the private community Drum Point beach and boat ramp just a mile or two down the road.

You may also notice a hot tub on the side of the lower deck that we will put back into operation once the rebuilding of the stairs and repairs to the deck are completed.

They didn't respond to messages on the app or calling their personal number directly, didn’t respond to Vrbo employees either when they tried to contact the owner. Had to get a hotel last-minute after giving them three hours past the scheduled check-in time to respond. - "We had a great stay at this property, which was exactly as described. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our family of 4, and the amenities throughout the house provided everything you needed for a home away from home. We used and appreciated everything, from the kayaks to the crab traps and crab pot. We bought 2 extra rolls of toilet paper, but that was the only additional thing neesed for our 5 night stay other than groceries. There were plenty of towels, blankets, etc. This property is very private/quiet. It was a great spot to kayak with kids as the water was very calm. Our favorite activity of the trip was kayaking to the end of the creek to a little beachy spot where the creek meets the river. We weren't able to swim off the dock at the house while we were there due to jellyfish, but we had a lot of fun wading in the waves and looking for shells at the little beach spot.Solomons Island had a nice vibe, and we tried several restaurants as well as the Calvert Marine Museum. The museum was a great find. The boardwalk didnt have as many shops and activities as we hoped, but overall there was enough to keep us busy. We are outdoorsy people, so we spent a lot of time kayaking, fishing, crabbing, and exploring local park beaches. These are 'natural' beaches, not maintained tourist beach spots, but that was OK with us. If you want to visit this area and have a small number of people, this property is a great choice!"

*Solomons Island FIREWORKS VIEW* Rousby Hall is located on the Patuxent River, outside of Solomons Island with a view of the river's opening to the Chesapeake Bay. The 16-acre property is adjacent to our very private conservation area that borders our 300 foot private beach. The year-round property has a pier, in-ground pool (May-October) with amazing river views. Family-style dinners by Chef Robert Wiedmaier upon request.

Rousby Hall of Calvert County is a historic home that has been beautifully maintained and updated over the decades for modern conveniences. The eat-in kitchen seats 6-8 and there is a large picnic table poolside including Weber gas and charcoal grills and a fire pit. This is an all-year-round property with fabulous bird watching, fishing off the pier, playing in the sand on the private beach, bonfires and grilling, boat watching, kayaks for four, beautiful sunsets on the Patuxent River and nearby hiking at Calvert Cliffs. One of the bedrooms is on the main floor, the other three are reached by stair. This is a dedicated rental property; spacious, free of clutter and other people's personal knick-knacks, more like an upscale, country, inn. There is an office with a desk, printer, office chair and internet. Pool is open May through October and heated when outdoor temps drop in September/October. The pool has an electric pool cover that is kept closed during the off-season, when heated or when guests want it closed for safety reasons during pool season. At Rousby Hall, we do not use on grass, plants, gravel, any glyphosate-based herbicide products on the property.

The barn/garage houses the owner's lawn equipment and studio and will have full access at any time to remove and use the equipment. Renters will be allowed to store bikes/toys in the garage. The owners also keep a boat on the Rousby Hall pier boat lift and maintain two crab pots and have access to it at all times. Guests are not to board the boat or operate the lift. The owners also own a beehive and will access property for maintenance. The beehive is located far away from the home and will not impact guests. Owners will also service the pool, clean skimmers, etc weekly.

Other things to note
We maintain two crab pots on the Rousby Hall pier and sell crabs locally and to Air guests. We also provide river Pontoon rides for up to 8 guests, 75 minutes, $200.

What an opportunity to own waterfront with deep water! Great property with so much potential. Once was an operating marina so there are many slips with electric to the piers. The house is in need of updating and the attic could possibly be finished off for more space. The house is in good repair with an updated bathroom and a very large kitchen.
