The hosts live in a separate apartment above meaning that 'Absolute Sea View' is a fully self-contained private space. If guests require help or advice about anything in the area we are happy to help but essentially we leave you to enjoy your space.

Set on 100 acres of native bushland, Kianinny is a 5-minute drive from Tathra Beach. Guests enjoy a solar-heated pool, a private lake and an 18-hole mini golf course. Tathra Beach Shack is one of Tathra's original cottages and is located on the southern headland overlooking Tathra beach. The cottage oozes character with original timber floorboards throughout the living area and original fireplace to keep you snug at night.

Two of the three bedrooms have queen beds and have views directly over the beach. The third bedroom has two single beds. The main bedroom is a large expansive room with ensuit and TV.

The cottage has a wonderful sundeck connecting to the living room that oozes sunshine and looks directly over the beach with a BBQ.

Surrounded by bush it offers plenty of privacy and boasts uninterrupted views over the beach making it the ideal location for a holiday by the sea.

Tathra Area/Things to do

Tathra is spoiled with National Parks and reserves, beautiful beaches, pristine estuaries and rivers. Pick your water sport - river and deep sea fishing, kayaking, surfing or simply chill out on the beautiful Tathra beach which is a short stroll down the steps from the house.

The National parks offer safe swimming lagoons, picnic areas and bushwalking tracks to cater for all levels of fitness. Relax and enjoy a coffee at the Tathra Wharf cafe - the wharf is one of the only heritage listed shipping wharves on the Eastern Coast of Australia. For your evenings entertainment there are a number of good restaurants in the area and why not finish the evening off with some live music and drinks in the local Tathra Hotel. If you are there on a Friday you might even win the crab races !!!!

Well appointed open plan two bedroom house with a large elevated hardwood timber deck with BBQ to enjoy the outdoor living. The living areas, including the main bedroom, offer access to the deck and fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean & Kianinny Bay.

SLEEPING - the property sleeps 6 comfortably (1 x queen in main bedroom, 1x double and 2 x single bunk beds in2nd bedroom). Well suited to two couples wanting a group stay or a couple with 2/3 kids. Please note - linen and towels NOT provided.

PET FRIENDLY - the property is fully fenced with large kennel and is one of only a couple of properties in Tathra that welcome pets by negotiation. Please advise at the time of enquiry/booking if you are bringing a pet.

KIDS - well set up for kids and even toddlers with portacot, high chair and stroller provided. There is also a safety gate for the stairs in case your kids are not yet stair competent. The house is perched right on top of the Cliff in Tathra . A large timber deck at the rear of the house overlooks a hidden semi Rainforest Gully, a haven for local wallabies, lyrebirds, honeyeaters and skinks. A wonderland for kids!

Situated in a quiet lane with no through traffic makes it only a 2 minute walk to the beach, Tathra Wharf and Tathra Hotel. It is just a hop skip and jump to the Hotel to charge your electric vehicle and enjoy a lunch or dinner with complimentary music on weekends

The view from the house is stunning, overlooking the beautiful, safe Tathra Beach and yet is very protected from coastal winds.

Clifftop is single story at the front and double at the rear. Under the deck at the rear is a private space with laundry room and a second retro bathroom with toilet and shower. The stunning garden with tree ferns, orchids, cliveas and a huge monstera thicket are features of this space as well as a green maintained lawn both at the rear and front of the house.

A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, reverse cycle air conditioning, laundry downstairs with clothes dryer, freezer and bar fridge, and a 2nd tub and washing machine in a upstairs bathroom. Enjoy the stunning beach and coastal views from the living areas or decks, or from the front ground level grassed and paved courtyard. The back deck also looks onto the bush at the rear of the property, a peaceful and private spot to sit, or settle on the front deck and have a BBQ with a view.

The main bedroom upstairs is roomy, has a flat screen tv and large windows look onto the bush. It has access out onto the back deck and its own bathroom with spa bath.

There are 3 great sized bedrooms - the large, sun-filled main bedroom features an ensuite (with a shower AND a spa bath), the kids will have a blast sleeping in the bunk beds in bedroom 2 and the third bedroom also has plenty of space and privacy being the only bedroom located downstairs. There is an additional bathroom downstairs with a combined shower / bath. Linen is provided at the property however we do ask that you bring your own beach towels for those summer days.

The open-plan design in the kitchen / dining makes it the perfect location to sit and enjoy a lovely family meal together. Tathra itself is very well known for not only its beach but its great mountain biking trails. If bike riding is your thing, then Holiday Retreat is the perfect house for you as it's a very short 2-minute ride to the start of the trails. Not only do you have the pristine Tathra Beach just down the road, you also have numerous private beaches heading both north and south of Tathra! So much exploring to be done! Tathra also offers lovely cafes, shops and restaurants all run by extremely friendly locals making it the perfect holiday destination!
