Our Cottage has a beautiful aspect looking out to the Pacific with nothing except a great nature reserve between the house and the water. The Cottage sits above a great rocky cove for the skin divers, walkers and explorers.

We welcome all well behaved dogs.

The Cottage has two bedrooms, large ktichen, lounge and dining, bathroom and laundry. All our furnishings are modern and clean. Our crockery is "Maxwells" and all the wine and champagne glasses are new and clean. There are games to use, videos to watch or just gaze out the windows at the birds, the ocean or the bush. It has a great aspect looking straight out to the Pacific with nothing but a reserve between you and the ocean. The yard is secure. It can accommodate four adults - the master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a double bed and a set of bunks Family of six would be very well accommodated.

There is a delightful large double deck looking out to the reserve and ocean capturing lovely views through the trees to the ocean which is relaxing all year round with a great rocky cove at the bottom of the reserve for explorers. There are great fishing spots and walks.

The Cottage is walking distance (less than 10 minutes) to either Garden Bay (north) or Malua Bay beach and great shops and restaurants (south).

The house is available for weekly rental and weekend getaways.

The beds come with Doonas and doona covers, pillow and pillow cases that match doonas and mattress protector. You should bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels, bath mats and beach towels.

For weekly rentals Saturday to Saturday is preferred and is negotiable during off season.

Malua Bay is two hours drive from Canberra - approximately 15 minutes south of Batemans Bay. From Sydney is it is approximately four hours south.

Things to see and do from The Cottage -

Easy walking distance (5 mins) from the Cottage leads you to the lovely Malua Bay Village which has everything you need - grocery shop, liquor shop, butcher shop, chemist, newsagency, restaurant and the best fish and chips shop. Malua Bay Beach is patrolled during the summer and offers great surfing and amenities. Full toilet/shower blocks; beaut park for all ages is located on the grass area of the beach. Regular monthly markets are not to be missed. To the north of the Cottage is Garden Bay Beach (5 mins walk) which is great for families, scuba diving, kayaking and snorkelling. Mckenzies Beach is a quick car trip (5mins) south which is also great fun and great surfing. Heading north will take you to Batehaven. A great spot for kayaking hire and surfing. Great shopping here too. Heading south from Malua leads through lovely villages such as Mossy Point, Broulee - great for surfing and swimming, Mogo - famous for its zoo and excellent street shopping. Further on is Moruya which has great markets every Saturday. Lots of old world charm and wonderful rivers to be explored.a

This two storey classic beach house has sun drenched, open plan living areas with high ceilings, flowing onto a large deck, ideal for relaxing and soaking up the views to the beach and of the natural bushland around. With plenty of opportunity to catch even the slightest cooling ocean breezes in summer, and reverse cycle air conditioning, you will never get too hot. And in winter, being north facing, the sun streams through the large windows each morning to warm the house quickly, lasting all day. The heating systems makes this home quite cosy during the winter months.

The two bedrooms upstairs, one with queen bed, the other with two singles, have built in robes, ceiling fans and bush views. The bathroom and separate toilet complete the fit out upstairs. Downstairs, the third bedroom and rumpus area, with two singles and a double sofa, has its own bathroom, and is ideal for those who want additional privacy in their own retreat, or to give the kids some extra freedom in their own space. Please note, that there are no internal stairs to the downstairs area.

With plenty of off street parking, including space for boats etc and with a covered parking space, there will be no hot cars in summer - not that you need a car when you're here. The dog friendly Malua Bay beach is only a casual, easy and level 2 minute stroll away, and is often patrolled during the summer months. McKenzies Beach is a few minutes stroll in the other direction. Local shops and restaurants at Malua are within easy walking distance. Tennis courts across the road, and plenty of opportunity for bush walking and mountain biking within 100m.

There is an outdoor shower - hot and cold - for convenience, and the large yard is fully fenced, great for kids or pets. There is a gas BBQ on the deck, plenty of board games and reading materials for most tastes plus a wide variety of music.

The local family of kookaburras will usually join you for happy hour snacks on the deck prior to sunset, along with an array of other birds.

This home oozes relaxation and enjoyment, care free times to enjoy the surrounds being as active or not as you want to be.

This is not your average house by the beach, it is a great beach house ready for you to create your own memories here, just bring your own linen, food and sense of adventure!

Only a one minute walk to Garden Bay Beach which offers protected swimming for the whole family. When you do come inside your only difficulty will be deciding how to relax. With two separate entertaining areas each with large screen smart TVs both adults and kids will be happy. Maybe kick back on the couch and enjoy Netflix, Foxtel, Apple TV or Stan. The kids can play on the Playstation 4 PRO in the Retreat.

If you are musical there’s a near new Yamaha piano in the Family Room.

In summer time there is ducted air conditioning throughout the house, alternatively open the sliding glass doors to let the cool afternoon sea breezes wash over you.

In winter you can sip a glass of red and snuggle up around the beautiful gas fire in the living room and to keep you toasty warm there is underfloor heating and ducted air conditioning. There's a separate wine fridge in the kitchen to ensure your wine is kept at the ideal temperature.

The house includes complimentary unlimited WIFI. The house is also one of the few houses in Malua Bay to be connected to the NBN via Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) allowing typical download speeds of 250 Mbps and upload speeds of 24 Mbps.

Outside you can show off your culinary skills on the Weber BBQ before the family gathers around to laugh, tell tales and enjoy dinner. Alternatively, the designer kitchen includes a range of European appliances including an induction cook-top. For coffee addicts there’s a Nespresso coffee machine.

When it’s finally time to hit the hay, you’ll find the bedrooms all have top of the range mattresses as soft as clouds and three separate bathrooms.

There are two King sized beds and two Queens (4 bedrooms).

Small well-behaved dogs may be considered. Please let us know if you would like to bring a dog when you apply.

The house is in a very quiet residential area. Reservations from families and couples are welcome however requests from groups cannot be accepted.
