A convenience not offered by similar properties was the two entrances to each room: one from the parking lot side, and the other from the pool and courtyard. The hotel had a good restaurant with generous indoor and outdoor seating areas. Our stay was during the Australian Open Tennis Tournament and we enjoyed watching on the big screen in the outdoor dining terrace. The rooms were nicely laid out with a modern sensibility that was simple and functional. The rooms were comfortable with additional blankets and pillows, ample closet and storage areas, and a separate vanity sink from the water closet and shower. The hotel is located on the Main Street of this small town with easy walking access to the bay’s waterfront, and a short 2 minute drive to ocean beaches, and a public golf course that offers views of wild kangaroos. Continental breakfast boxes were provided that were convenient for customers, and offered juice, a fruit cocktail, cold cereal and milk, which could be taken “to go” for eating out at a picnic table or in the room. 1BR UNIT :
This 2-storey unit is imaginatively designed in Moroccan style, with many curved motifs. The living and bathing areas are on the lower floor. There is an electric stove with ceramic hotplates, a microwave oven and full-size refrigerator. The shower is placed within a large bath. This bath is NOT to be used as a SPA, as it takes all the hot water. The toilet and washing machine are located in a corner. The unit is heated by a wood burning oven with glass door - the flue warms the bedroom above where there is a Q/S bed. On an outside patio there are a table and chairs plus bbq. From the bedroom sunbathing deck on the upper floor, dramatic views can be enjoyed over the lake. Covered car parking is located outside the unit at the top of a paved driveway; a boat trailer with a small or medium-sized boat can also be fitted in. Large boats can be parked in the court opposite the property entrance. A double foam mattress is available on the floor to accommodate a young child at an extra $5 per night - linen should be provided by the guests for this. Guests may bring a maximum of 2 pets, with the first being free and the second an extra $5 per night.

This unit enjoys wonderful lake and rural views from the living area and from the private patio with wood-fired bbq. There is also a sheltered viewing deck facing NE. The main living area is gas-heated and contains fans for the warmer weather. The master bedroom has a Q/S bed and the second bedroom two single beds. The unit can take up to 4 persons. In a corner, a laundry area with washing machine and trough is located. The shower and toilet can be used independently. There is an electric stove with oven and hotplates as well as a microwave and a full-size refrigerator. The mudbrick and poles create an informal ambience. A private parking bay is situated outside the unit.

Mallacoota remains a pristine area with lakes and beaches, surrounded by Croajingalong National Park, a World Biosphere Reserve. It is ideal for relaxed, nature-based holidays. Sunrise can be enjoyed across the lake, and the Howe Range turns pink as sunset approaches. Being at the bottom of a court, there is no through traffic. Upon opening the front door you will be delighted with the well lit spacious, open plan living area for your families holiday.
Entertain at the large dining setting adjoining the kitchen living area and later on dim the lights and snuggle up on the couches to watch tv.
The main bedroom has a QS bed dressed with quality linen and a view of the colouful tropical garden.
The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a double sized bed on the bottom. All linen is supplied. There is also a fold out single bed available upon request for an added guest with linen supplied for an extra cost.
Relax on the front verandah taking in the beauty of the garden, the birdlife and the distant native bush beyond where koalas and kangaroos roam freely.
The entire property is fully fenced..
You will be awakened by the songs of the many & varied birds which frequent the garden and at dusk look up to see the fruit bats heading home.
From the front gate enjoy a pushbike ride or leisurely walk to town on the designated bike track and look around you may see a koala in it's natural habitat.
Coola is an Aboriginal word for koala.

Well behaved dogs are welcome and allowed inside when supervised, but not on the furniture or beds.
The fence is secured, please bring blankets, toys and a water bowl. Please make a request with our office if you wish to bring your dog.

Why do we allow dogs?
We love to go on holiday and take our fur baby, however we also like to stay in a beautiful, clean home. This is something difficult because when a home is advertised as dog friendly, it often is basic and, in our experience, not very clean.
We would love for others to enjoy a memorable holiday with their fur babies.

Please note:
Bring a bed and bedding, some toys and bowls.
There are many kangaroos in Mallacoota so please make sure to keep your dog on a lead when walking.
Please make sure your dog is tick protected.
Please ensure garden is left clean before leaving.
There are many places for the babies to swim so please ensure you have some towels in the car.
Our next guests may not have dogs, so please leave the house respectfully as you found it.
Additional fee of $100 is charged for a dog visit.

- "Absolutely loved this property. This is how it should be done. The property is beautiful, in such a fantastic location and that view! The house has everything you need and is so well stocked. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. Plenty of kitchen utensiles and cooking equipment. The furniture is all so comfy. Great beds and linen. Even better was the little touches of having a dog bed there, which my old girl took full advatage of. It is one of the better properties i have stayed at. You can tell thought was actually put into the property to make it welcoming and homely. I will definitely be back."

Very close to town center - you are literally 100m walk to shops, pubs, cafes and main wharf.

The Kitchen is fully equipped and there is a large living/dinning area with access to a small balcony on the upper level. Also located upstairs is the master bedroom with a comfortable queen sized bed, a bathroom and a separate toilet.

The lower level consists of a second bathroom with toilet, second bedroom with another comfortable queen bed, and then a laundry area that provides access to a small rear courtyard with bbq.

There is room enough for one car parking and then additional parking on the front nature strip.

Please note that this property does NOT include linen or towels and that you will be required to bring your own. The property is NOT pet friendly

Please be courteous of other guests and ensure that all rubbish is placed in bins prior to your departure, and that bins are placed out (Tuesday Night) for curb side collection on Wednesday Morning.

If you need a modest little beach shack with a very comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, good kitchen facilities, all in a quiet location then this is it. Kangaroos hang out in the yard all the time, just lounging in the sun with us and the dog. A very chilled out vibe."
