beautiful 1 bedroom with a loft, 1 full bath and a half bath cabin that will

sleep 8 people.

There is 1 king bed on the main floor, a sleeper sofa in the living room and

in the loft are 2 double beds. The loft has a half bathroom. On the main floor

is a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo, plus, a full size washer and

dryer.

The fully stocked kitchen, with all the pots, pans, dishes, and more, is ready

for you to cook up delicious meals. Take your meal onto the screened in deck

to eat while enjoying the lush wooded scenery and listening to the peaceful

nature sounds. Relax on the front porch in one of the 8 rocking chairs. On

those chilly nights, making s'mores by the fire pit is a kid's favorite.

You have access to the beautiful pavilion with lights and electrical outlets

on the property. Perfect for a picnic in an open setting, a family reunion

while reminiscing the great times, or having a country wedding while making

new beginnings. This pavilion is shared with the other cabin on the property

(The Great Escape that sleeps up to 12 people), not visible to the 2 cabins,

and has its own bathroom. Please contact the office if you wish to reserve the

pavilion for a particular date while you stay at one of the cabins on the

property. There is a small additional fee if reserving for a wedding.

Ruby's Retreat promises a serene vacation experience with adventuous things to

**There is a small creek crossing required to get to the cabin. Most times the creek is no more than 6 inches deep. However, following periods of heavy rain or snow the crossing may deepen to the point where an SUV or Truck is recommended. Trucks will also prove valuable navigating many of the area roads.

This quaint bungalow is nestled creekfront in complete privacy at the end of the road surrounded by mountain forest. It is right on a rushing creek running through all 3 acres. Enjoy panning for the gold we always find in it, sleeping to the peaceful sound of the creek directly from the comfortable sleeping porch or bedroom with beautiful views of the creek, relaxing on the spacious screened in porch day and night, or toasting marshmallows in the outside fire-pit while star gazing.

It is THE perfect place for a relaxing, romantic getaway for a couple, or bring the kids who will absolutely love playing in the creek and panning for gold. The outdoor screened in porch is THE BEST place for daytime napping or nightime sleeping in the large, very comfortable queen futon. In the evening, the creek has beautiful low voltage lighting throughout the property. Nearby there are hundreds of hiking trails including four incredible waterfall hikes and Bald River which is the most spectacular river to kayak, fish, or swim.

Cyclists can bike right from the property straight to the Cherahala Skyway and also the beautiful River Road. Motorcyclists love staying here as well because of the easy access to the Skyway and easy gravel road to the cabin.

If you enjoy seclusion, are a nature lover, and like the peacefulness of creek side accommodations, this is the place for you. You won't find a more cozy, private cabin RIGHT ON the rushing creek. It is truly getting away from it all and back to nature relaxing in paradise. There isn't another cabin like it available for rental.

Imagine being on the edge of town, within walking distance to everything with the feeling your in the forest. Every feature in the cabin was either hand made or repurposed. Stained glass was custom made and framed. Floors, walls, ceiling and trim work were all meticulously hand sanded in this six month labor of Love. What once started out as a playhouse for my granddaughters has morphed into this.

IF YOU HAVE A TRAILER it is best to drive past the home, go to the "Beach Drive-In" and turn around there. Go back to the driveway and back your trailer up the drive way. Pay attention to oncoming traffic! Especially motorcycles. 18' trailer is about the limit.

The space
This is a small cabin with kitchenette with all of the basic essentials to have meals at home. All linens are provided. There is a queen bed that sleeps two, a pullout couch that could sleep two children or two small adults, a small table and chairs, and a full bathroom with tub. We really want our guests to relax and enjoy the outdoors on the deck with table and chairs, and a new firepit down by the river. Dogs are allowed for a $50 fee each. No smoking in the cabin.

Welcome to Tellico Plains! Tucked away on the side of Bullet Mountain, you will find our log cabin which was custom built in 2015 and situated on 10 wooded acres. This cabin served as our primary residence until 2020, when we bought additional property and made the difficult decision to leave our beloved cabin on the mountain. - "Saphire bear is the perfect getaway for a couple! Cabin was stocked, including extra towels, and was super clean! The bed wasn’t that comfy and the shower is smaller than standard, but the location made it worth it! We visited at the time of year where the ladybugs were trying to get inside so we could not enjoy the back porch, but that’s nature! My husband and I had an excellent getaway!" - "We enjoyed watching the fall leaves become vibrant. There are lots of games, hiking and fishing right on the property which my grandchildren enjoyed. Ventured out to Knoxville, Seeetwater, Vonore, Gatlinburg, Cherokee Casino and the stunning Cherahola Skyway. Can’t wait to return to the peaceful nights at Diamond or Saphire Bear."

This home is a jump off place for seeing the area, ride towards the Dragon and hop onto the Cherohala Skyway, Tellico River and Bald River Falls with numerous waterfalls and trails just outside of Tellico Plains. It has a large front porch to rock in a chair to look and listen to the pristine Tellico River.

The kids enjoyed walking along the river. Was also nice that the cabin has Wi-fi to help with evening downtime. The property was very clean and well maintained." - "Nothing fancy. Ruby Bear, a gem of a cabin named for it's red roof, is one of a trio of

cabins, nestled beside Pearl Bear and Sapphire Bear (Red, White & Blue!).

This charming 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin has an amazing view. From the charcoal

grill, full kitchen, and washer/dryer, there is a full range of home comforts

that will make you feel at home away from home on your memorable Tellico

Plains vacation.

If you are into nature walks or hiking, then adventure out on the 140 acres

and it's mountain and field trails. If fishing is your thing, there are 2

"Catch & Release" spring fed lakes.

fireplace or entertain while sitting on the deck and take in the fresh

seclusion of this property and rent all 6 cabins, they will sleep up to a

total of 40 people.

- "Awesome pet friendly cabin, clean with great views. Very quiet & secluded although other cabins adjacent, we were the only ones there so it was a perfect getaway." - "Very nice cabin, clean, and with a great view to the mountains" - "Clean, comfortable and relaxing. Toss pillows for the couch were still fluffy. The comfort of the bed was so so. However the Redawning communication for this listing was in the toilet. I expressed sincere disappointment of this to the property mgmt. Unresponsive to text msgs, emails and their version of “chat”. Seems strange there are NO reviews and the owner has since removed this listing. Overall this was a nice location and a beautiful home. We would definitely like to consider a rental in the future. "

The Tellico Plains Inn, originally established in 1916, is in the heart of Tellico Plains and the start of the Cherohala Skyway. The Inn was rehabbed in 2023 with modern flare but staying true to the character of a 100+ year old Inn. It is within walking distance to the local shops and minutes away from the Cherokee National Forest (Bald River Falls, Indian Boundary, trout fishing, hiking, kayaking). The Byrum Room has a king bed, console/desk with stools, mini fridge, 55" smart TV, and the room also has its own ductless heating and cooling unit. The luxurious ensuite, full bathroom boasts a tub/shower combination with glass doors and tile walls.

If you need additional rooms for your entire party, friends, and family please be sure to ask about availability. AND, the Inn also has a 650 Sq Ft Event Room lit with 3 stylish chandeliers that can be rented out separately, great for weddings, bridal or baby showers, birthday parties, or any enthusiast group gathering! We hope you will enjoy the modern flare and updates to this 100+ year old Inn. We tried to salvage its character, keeping the original rustic wood floors, wainscoting, and dental trim. Be sure to take some time to relax on the porch in the rocking chairs or in the lobby and view some historic photos of the Inn and Tellico Plains.

Guests have access to the lobby, coffee station, porches, and the entire grounds of the Inn. We offer guests a shared office space on the second floor on a first come first serve basis. The office space has two dedicated workspaces which include desks, chairs, printer/scanner/copier, etc. If you know you will want to use the office space during your stay, it is best to inform the host in advance of your stay.

Centrally located in town and ample parking on our concrete lot and at side of Inn. Guests can literally walk the sidewalks to Tellico Grains Bakery, Trout Mountain Coffee, and several local shops. The Tellico Plains Inn is the center piece of the town.

Guests are provided with 4 bath towels, 4 hand towels, 4 wash cloths, 2 full rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, starter set of K-cups, cream and sugar packets, and disposable coffee cups.

- "The property manager communicated with us before our arrival to ensure we understood the check-in process. Upon arrival, the charming inn sat in the heart of Tellico Plains surrounded by the lush Cherokee National Forest. It was just as I imagined, but better! The inn was quaint with its wrap around porch and historic decor . It was clean and wrapped you in a tight hug! I slept better here than I do at home! My husband and I cannot wait to visit again. "
