The Sequoia River Cabin is nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills, in a quaint hamlet known as Three Rivers, Gateway to the Sequoias. We are just 5 minutes (5 miles) to the Ash Mountain entrance of Sequoia National Park. Our cabin is ideal for 2 Adults only ~ No Children and No Pets.

Our cute and cozy cabin has a well-equipped kitchen and a propane BBQ off the back deck. The cabin is ideal for a couple. The rear deck is just steps away from the Main Fork of the Kaweah River.

We are conveniently located on Sierra Drive, the main road through town, with the main fork of the Kaweah River just steps from the back deck. The private river setting allows for a true romantic getaway. There is a fire pit by the river to enjoy an evening fire and we do supply firewood.

Relax in the Sundance Spa / hot tub / jacuzzi on the back deck, listen to the sounds of the river and marvel at the Blue Heron and various duck species that call the river home. You just might see some deer at the river's edge.

In the evening, relax in the lounge chairs by the river and be mesmerized by the spectacular star-studded night sky.

In springtime, you can sit on the deck and catch a glimpse of the whitewater rafters and kayakers as they make their way down the river.

This historic cabin was originally built as a fishing retreat decades ago and has evolved a number of times since then. In the '70s it was Little Rainbow, the workshop of our local silversmith. After that it became a private residence, and later a trendy coffee house named The Cabin. The Cabin later became The Buckaroo, serving hamburgers and sandwiches.

IMPORTANT ITEMS TO KNOW:

TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is essential for our guests to have travel insurance.
We are in a high Fire Severity Zone. Fire season is typically August-October.
In the event that a travel disruption occurs, we ask that you are covered as we don't issue refunds or extend stays due to usually being fully booked — and recommend you contact your insurer to assist with the cost of disrupted travel arrangements.

PLEASE NOTE: If you choose to not respect our rule for occupancy, which is 2 adults only, there will be a charge of $100 per night per additional person.

As shown in the pictures, we are located on the main road through town and you will hear some road noise at times.

The river behind our cabin is not deep enough for swimming. When it is deep enough for swimming, it is flowing too swiftly to safely go in but makes for excellent river rafting. The water level does get low at the very end of summer / beginning of fall, until we get some rain. You can walk downriver to where the north fork of the Kaweah River joins the main fork to a swimming hole.

PLEASE NOTE: NO VISITING GUESTS. Only the 2 guests who have reserved the cabin are permitted to stay per our insurance carrier, because they only cover the guests in the reservation.

NO SMOKING INSIDE THE CABIN. We are located in an extremely high-fire hazard area.

PLEASE NOTE: NO ANIMALS of any kind are allowed at this property. Members of our family have asthma and are extremely allergic to pet hair/dander. This poses a severe health hazard to hosts' family members and therefore there are no exceptions to this rule. You will be assessed a $400 deep cleaning fee if you bring your pet(s).

I have stayed at a lot of rental homes and this is the cleanest, most thoughtfully appointed home I’ve stayed in. They have thought of every detail. We cooked a lot in the cabin and the cookware, utensils, appliances provided are very nice. I felt like I was cooking in my own home. They provide beyond basic spices, oil, condiments, ice, “Common things you may have forgotten,” first aid kit. The bed was comfortable and they even provide a sound machine. The list of comforts goes on and on. All of this in addition to a welcoming bottle of wine! The cabin location is stunning. The river that runs through the back is gorgeous with lots of wildlife to watch. We loved the hummingbird feeder and ate all of our meals on the deck with the company of the little birds. We were a short drive to the entrance of Sequoia park which was lovely since it’s a long drive into the park to find hikes. You are in the heart of Three Rivers.. it is a lovely town with lots of dining/coffee options… we didn’t dine out much but we did go to the local grocery for good meat for grilling! The hosts are very responsive and extremely kind and accommodating. I really hope to return to explore the parks more and will be happy to stay here again. I will definitely recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the area."

The Blue Oak Bungalow is nestled in the peaceful Alta Acres neighborhood of Three Rivers, only 3 miles from Sequoia National Park. The property is made up of 2 parts; the main house and a cozy detached studio just a couple of steps away. Built in 1956, this charming home masterfully combines the classic architecture from that era with a colorful modern flare that creates the perfect balance of old & new. The owner has lovingly restored, refurnished and redecorated the home with your comfort and enjoyment as a priority. Add to that the fact that he chose a manager whose houses have been voted "Best Vacation Home in Kaweah Country" for five years in a row, and you have the makings for a perfect experience.

The main house opens into a brilliant living room featuring floor to ceiling windows showcasing the Sierra Nevada mountains. You'll find lots of comfy seating, a woodstove, large screen smart TV and amazing local artwork adorning the walls. The open floor plan includes a dining table that will seat six and a full kitchen complete with a gas oven & stovetop, new refrigerator/freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, blender, cookware, dinnerware...you name it. The bedroom contains a brand new Cal King bed, large mirrored closet and a view of the garden and mountain peaks of Sequoia National Park. The bathroom features a wonderful claw foot bathtub with shower curtain enclosure, mirrored vanity, plenty of room, and towel sets for everyone. The temperature of the house can easily be controlled by a Nest thermostat. No matter how hot or cold it is outside, you will be very comfortable inside.

The adjacent studio (just a couple of steps away) is perfect for those in your party that prefer a bit more privacy. Inside you will find a bedroom with a new Cal King bed, outstanding views of the great outdoors, coffee service, mini fridge, big closet, cabinets for your storage and a full bathroom with tub/shower. We provide a double bed size Memory Foam fold-out mattress with linens if you need additional sleeping space in the studio. The studio's climate is controlled by a ductless mini-split offering both heating & cooling in an efficient and quiet manner.

We happily provide unlimited hi-speed internet (Spectrum approx 75Mbps download speed) for our guests who like to stay connected or are on a working vacation. The smart television is not connected to cable or satellite, but does offer Netflix and guests are welcome to access their own accounts as well (don't forget to bring your password).

The front garden is a cornucopia of colorful plants and fun seating areas. A propane BBQ grill is provided.

The town of Three Rivers, population under 3,000, has its own elementary school, several churches, hotels, gas stations, grocery stores, cool restaurants, a brewery, hardware store, a bank, and a handful of unique stores offering local arts & crafts. The town's boundary runs right up to the park entrance so you can't get any closer to Sequoia than Three Rivers if you are looking for convenient lodging while exploring the giant sequoias.

Every season is the perfect time of the year for visiting Sequoia National Park & Three Rivers!! Spring brings cool weather and is a great time to hike or take a drive to see the beautiful trees. Tucked into the lower east side of Salt Creek Canyon sits this beautiful hand-crafted 580 square foot guest house on nine acres. Originally built by owner as a writing and painting studio in the late 1980s, it has an open floor plan with a wood beam ceiling and pine plank flooring. All wood furniture is made by owner. The screened in porch opens onto two wooden decks that over look a series of cascading ponds and Salt Creek farther below. A separate driveway from Salt Creek Road (also known as Craig Ranch Road) with carport provides parking and privacy.
Location makes it very easy to get to where you want to go, whether it is to the park, to town or to the end of south fork and lady bug trail. A half mile walk or bike ride further up Salt Creek Road gives you access to BLM (Bureau of Land Management—public lands) and Case Mountain for great hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as, Salt Creek waterfalls. (seasonally winter and spring) It is a park all unto itself.

Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, just a short drive from the south entrance to Sequoia National Park, Cinnamon Creek Cottage is ideally located for your weekend or week-long getaway! Built in 2004, our cottage is recently refurbished with the vacation traveler in mind. It will comfortably sleep six with an updated master bedroom king bed, guest bedroom queen and pull-out sofa. The kitchen cookware and serving-ware are also all updated and replaced as needed, as are linens and towels and great-room furniture. The house has been updated from top to bottom including a fresh coat of paint.

Our cottage is located in the heart of Three Rivers ranch country. You'll be bordered on one side by a neighboring cattle ranch and have the relaxing sound of the south fork of the Kaweah river drifting in from several hundred yards to the south. Ranch animals and wildlife are abundant. You may well see deer feeding on the back lawn, hear the call of coyotes at dusk or see cattle grazing just a few feet from the east fence. Wild turkey and quail frequent the area. A small stream occasionally flows through the backyard, varying from no more than a trickle to a steady flow depending on rain or irrigation from the ranch next door. You may even have a visit from the neighbors Labrador Retrievers, guinea hens or free-range chickens!

The house is fully furnished with everything you need. Just bring yourselves and food for meals if you plan to cook.

Cinnamon Creek Cottage is owned by a multi-generation family of Sequoia National Park employees and their extended family, and is decorated to reflect this heritage. Several of the owners are nearby should you have need. If available they may meet you upon arrival. If not, a key lockbox is used and you will have the combination, and a Welcome Book will guide you as you set up house.

Landscaping includes citrus trees and a beautiful rose lined fence in the back. The back yard has a large grassy area for play, and a picnic table with a gas grill.

The neighborhood is quiet. Typically the only traffic on South Fork Drive is local residents and occasional hikers, as the road dead-ends at Sequoia Park's Lady Bug Trail. Our cottage is at the base of Cinnamon Creek Canyon, a small mountain valley where many owners raise cattle and horses. Unlike in Three Rivers there is very little tourist activity. At most you may see a few neighbors out for a morning walk, or a cattle trailer or two moving livestock to the valley.

Highway 198 and Three Rivers proper is just a few minutes back down the hill. This pleasant drive takes you to a small town that caters to both locals and park visitors. There are several restaurants, a number of shops and a nice grocery store with all the basics. The south entrance to Sequoia National Park is just north of Three Rivers.

Should you choose to continue your way up South Fork Drive you'll find you are only a few miles from the little-used Lady Bug trail-head at Sequoia National Park. This is an excellent destination for a day hike, and is often used as a starting point for back-country campers.

Another great day trip is Kings Canyon and Mineral King, both part of Sequoia National Park proper. The turnoff is on the way to Sequoia's south gate, and is a winding, very scenic back-road up to an area less frequented by tourists. Take your time, and take a full day's supply of food and drink. There is only one place to stop for supplies on the way up if you've left anything (Silver City, great pie!). It would be a good idea to research a little online so you know what to expect. It is very much worth the trip.

You will pass Lake Kaweah on the way up the hill from Visalia. This is a large man-made reservoir and a favorite destination for boating, swimming, kayaking and fishing.

Attending a destination wedding at Redwood Ranch? We are one of the closest vacation rentals in the area. Just 2.6 miles from driveway to driveway.

Also, please note that we base price for two guests, and add $ 10 per person per night for more than two. This way when we only have one or two using the cottage, they are not paying for a bed and bathroom they do not use.

Our WiFi is strong and reliable, and we offer a small desk in the master bedroom for those who work from home.

The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, pots, pans, dishes, spices, a blender, and a toaster, everything you would need to prepare meals in-house for those who love to cook. We also provide you with coffee and assorted teas, along with a few complimentary goodies. We provide plenty of local information and tips from your Host including where to go if you just prefer dining out! The bathrooms are always clean with plenty of fresh, clean towels. We also supply you with shampoo, conditioner, body wash.
The beds are all top of the line King size and include all new linens. These beds are comfortable! We also use hypoallergenic pillow and bed protectors for your safety and comfort.
The couches and the dining room table are comfortable as well. Yes, there is a large HD-tv and very good Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is good enough to stream movies 24/7 so we provide you with free Netflix!
There is a BBQ on the deck and the living room is situated to take in views of the (often) snow-peaked Sierra Mountains. The views from the front and back are some of the best in Three Rivers and each is completely different.
Relax on the huge back deck with a panoramic view of Moro Rock and Alta Peak! The small front deck looks over the whole town of Three Rivers. You will have a view of Eagles Peak and you can often hear the Kaweah River in the valley below.

And the house is just awesome, the outdoor spaces, the views, the patio built into the rocks, I could have spent a lot of time just enjoying the house, but it is just a couple of miles from Sequoia National Park, which is amazing, and then a short drive further to Kings Canyon, which is also amazing. The kitchen is great, but there are also good restaurants in town if you don't want to cook. I cannot recommend this place enough! You will not be disappointed if you choose this great place to stay!"

Blossom Rock House has just finished a complete remodel and renovation from the ground up less than two years ago. This comfy home sleeps five people with two bedrooms and one bathroom. This rustic property overlooks the McKee horse ranch and is surrounded by wonderful views of the mountains.

Blossom Rock House is centrally located just off Sierra Drive (Highway 198) in Three Rivers. Less than one half mile from dining and shopping. Home is also four miles from the National Park entrance.

Visit Sequoia National Park - California's first national park and America's second oldest park. Visit the General Sherman Tree, the earth's largest living tree. Take a walk through Giant Forest and hike up Moro Rock. Take a tour of Crystal Cave (open May-September) and see almost 250 caves formed of limestone.

Blossom Rock House consists of two bedrooms each with a California King size bed as well as a pull out ottoman in the living room that has a twin mattress.

Bathroom has an oversize walk in shower. Travel Size toiletries are available for guest use and include shampoo, conditioner, bar soap and lotion.

Kitchen has stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, built in microwave, five burner cooktop and oven all on granite counter tops with fridge and freezer to make those yummy meals! Dinner table seats four guests comfortably and counter seating seats two additional guests.

Living Room looks out to private patio with six person jacuzzi tub and outdoor heater where you can sit and see the stars and hear the sounds of nature. In the living room there is a propane fireplace insert and above it sits an oversize television with plenty of room to gather as family and friends.

Outdoors the private patio has a patio table and chairs that seat six people under the lighted gazebo, propane BBQ (no need to bring propane), and again, the gorgeous jacuzzi! There is also an outdoor heater (seasonally available) for those cool nights.

From August through rain season, Lake Kaweah has minimum water pool. Lake levels rise when the rain and run off from snow pack comes. This means there is still water in the lake for boaters and swimmers, however not as much as a normal season provides.

Also, the Suite has a kitchenette with a wet bar, mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, teapot, dishes and utensils. NOTE: We do not have an oven/stove. We provide complementary coffee, tea and a snack basket with oatmeal, popcorn, healthy snack packs, protein bars, chocolates & bottled water. Also, The Totem Market is less than 1 mile away. The Totem is a small market with casual food, deli, BBQ, beer, wine & supplies. Perfect location to pick up goodies for your picnic basket! Both The Gateway and The Totem Market rent chains if needed.

We offer our guests convenient and private self check in. You can check yourself in using the keypad. Your personal 4 digit keypad code will be sent to you 5 days prior to your check in date. Check in time is 3:00pm. The Suite is often ready earlier and we are happy to offer an early check in when available.

We have safe and secure parking available on the property. The Suite includes one designated parking space. We can accommodate a second car next door upon request. Please inquire if needed.

Wi-Fi and phone reception can be spotty in the Sequoia National Park area. We are thrilled to have Spectrum high speed internet on our property. Phone reception is excellent when you turn on “wi-fi calling” on your cell phone.

Our guests have access to all areas of the property. The Suite has an outdoor table & chairs on the patio plus we have two picnic areas with picnic tables and a propane BBQ grill available to use. Otherwise, a 2-minute drive. It’s a great time of year for visiting The Sequoia National Park. Our home is 1622sq ft.

The kitchen is fully equipped for everything you need to make eggs to mashed potatoes.
The master bedroom has 1 CA King Bed with a full bathroom & jacuzzi bathtub & 1 Queen Bed in the other bedroom.

Stunning, elegant and creative Craftsman, gorgeous artist's property, 4 poster king size bed w white cotton voile curtains, large studio with architectural character amid the backdrop of the Sequoia National Park. A remarkable space with terraces and vaulted ceilings as well as a pergola perched amid the sycamores along the river with dining and lounging chairs, mosquito net & curtains, (overnight bedding optional, seasonal) and set up dependent on weather. Five minute drive to the center of the village of Three Rivers where the restaurants and Village Market are and then 6 miles into the Sequoia National Park. The studio comprises the ground floor level with its own entrance. A well loved vacation rental on a seasonal river for many years but new to VRBO and Homeaway. A super clean space with guests receiving maximum privacy and thorough distancing. Your terrace and pergola visits are private at all times. Although summer is considered the most stable weather, spring and fall are gorgeous and snow around the base of the world's tallest trees is an unparalleled experience. All seasons have their beauty.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! Accommodates a maximum of 2 adult guests only. Not suitable or safe for children. No pets allowed. A perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring Sequoia National Park. Private, peaceful and quiet location nestled on the top of a mountain on a one acre parcel less than 1 mile from Sequoia National Park. The Red Mountain Suite is one of two private Suites available at the Rose Retreat. The Ash Mountain Suite is adjacent and also available for booking. Spectacular views of Ash Peak and Red Mountain. BBQ, picnic and meadow area to enjoy. We live close by and available if needed.

The Rose Retreat is located on a beautiful, private and quiet one acre mountain lot. Being located less than 1 mile to the gate of the famous Sequoia National Park makes us one of the closest properties available in Three Rivers! The space is a newly built (2022) custom property with two private modern Suites (Red Mountain Suite and Ash Mountain Suite).

The Red Mountain Suite is very spacious (450 sq feet) with amazing mountain views! The Suite has a queen bed, private shower, toilet and dressing area as well as a dining table, electric fireplace and Roku TV. Also, the Suite has a kitchenette with a wet bar, mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, teapot, dishes and utensils. NOTE: We do not have an oven/stove. We provide complementary coffee, tea and a snack basket with oatmeal, popcorn, healthy snack packs, protein bars, chocolates & bottled water. A perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature with magnificent views of Ash Peak and Red Mountain. Also, our location is wonderful for bird watching during the day and stargazing at night. We have a propane BBQ grill with two picnic areas as well as a meadow to enjoy.

We are located in the quaint, artistic mountain town of Three Rivers. There are many restaurants, shops and activities to explore. The top rated Gateway Restaurant is a local favorite and located ¼ mile away. Breathtaking river views, delicious food, full bar and open 365 days a year serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, The Totem Market is less than 1 mile away. The Totem is a small market with casual food, deli, BBQ, beer, wine & supplies. Perfect location to pick up goodies for your picnic basket! Both The Gateway and The Totem Market rent chains if needed.

We offer our guests convenient and private self check in. You can check yourself in using the keypad. Your personal 4 digit keypad code will be sent to you 5 days prior to your check in date. Check in time is 3:00pm. The Suite is often ready earlier and we are happy to offer an early check in when available.

We have safe and secure parking available on the property. The Suite includes one designated parking space. We can accommodate a second car next door upon request. Please inquire if needed.

Wi-Fi and phone reception can be spotty in the Sequoia National Park area. We are thrilled to have Spectrum high speed internet on our property. Phone reception is excellent when you turn on “wi-fi calling” on your cell phone.

Our guests have access to all areas of the property. The Suite has an outdoor table & chairs on the patio plus we have two picnic areas with picnic tables and a propane BBQ grill available to use. We do not live on the property but live close by and are available if you need anything! We respect the privacy of our guests.

Three Rivers is a very unique, charming and creative Sierra Nevada foothill village located half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Three Rivers is the gateway town for the Ash Mountain Entrance to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park home of the largest living things on earth, the Giant Sequoia trees!

We are grateful to live in this lovely town and host an amazing, beautiful and unique property less than 1 mile to the Park Entrance. Our property is an adult property with maximum guest capacity of two adult guests per Suite. We love to offer our guests a quiet, peaceful and nature induced experience.
