Not only is the house spotlessly clean, roomy, quiet and comfortable, it's also nestled amongst thousands of citrus trees. There are two charming horses right outside your window, and the dogs are as sweet as can be. The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked - you can actually cook entire meals! But even more wonderful is all the little touches - the kind welcome note; the lemon-themed, cheery decor; the labels on the cupboards so that you can easily find kitchen stuff; big fluffy comforters and plenty of extra blankets; and so much more! Normally when you have a house this we-appointed, it come with a binder full of rules, but instead, this house had little notes asking you to feel right at home. It's honestly one of the best VRBO's I've ever stayed at. I can't wait to come back!"

The Space:
Welcome to The Bonita Blue, a uniquely designed home at the base of the foothills in Porterville, just under an hour's drive to both the Sequoia National Park main entrance and Sequoia National Forest and monuments. Centrally located, this is a great launch pad for all your adventures in California! The newly updated home features three bedrooms, including a large primary suite with attached bathroom and huge TV. All bedrooms have luxurious queen beds with fresh linens and storage space for clothes and belongings. A fully equipped kitchen is provided if you're in the mood to cook, but food delivery services such as DoorDash and Uber Eats are also available! The large driveway will fit 2 vehicles comfortable. Bring your kayak or boat if you plan to enjoy Lake Success, just 15 minutes away! During the warmer months you'll be spending all your time out in the backyard gathered around the gas fire pit, showing off your inner grill master at the BBQ, or relaxing in the Jacuzzi listening to the trickle of the waterfall pond. This is truly a gem in Porterville that you're sure to book again on your next trip to central California!

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property with the exception of the garage. No washer and dryer at this point.

The Neighborhood:
The home is within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery shopping, though driving would be easier. We are roughly an hour from two entrances of the Sequoia National Park. 4 wheel drive and tire chains are strongly encouraged during winter months, and may be required by California Highway Patrol if there's snow in the forecast if you're heading up to the parks or Camp Nelson area.

Just to the rear is public transportation, the U.S. Post Office, Grocery Outlet, and The Press Shop Dry Cleaners!

Just in our back yard is the Sequoia National Forrest about an Hours drive!

You’ll have plenty to enjoy at this historic place in a picturesque setting. We have taken the farm workers bunkhouses and turned them into guest quarters. You will have access to a very large timber frame pole barn featuring an outdoor kitchen as well as a seasonal vegetable garden. There is an out door theater and multiple games.
This is glamping at its finest as everyone shares a very unique bathroom featuring an 85 sq. Ft shower.
The space
Hummingbird Hollow is located in the middle of hundreds of acres of oranges just below the foothills of Sequoia atonal Forest The three acre compound is security fenced and very privet.
The property was originally owned by my husbands family starting with his grandfather. It was part of a 5000 acre table and wine grape ranch associated with Château Saint Jean in the Sonoma County wine country. We bought the 3 acer compound back after it was sold off in 1992. The property around us is now a beautiful orange grove.

We have taken part of the farmworkers bunkhouses and turned them into guest quarters.
It features a large studio apartment with a private office/guestroom. The shared 300 ft.² bathroom features two private water closets as well as a 85 ft.² wet room with two showers. There is also a washer and dryer available.

You will have access to a 10,000 Square foot pole barn. The barn was used as an event center for 15 years. There is an outdoor kitchen including a barbecue and cooktop featuring a herb and vegetable garden. The barn includes beautiful lighting, heaters, a fire pit, picnic tables, an outdoor theater and games. The games include bocce ball, cornhole, croquet, foosball, Horse shoes and board games.

We do have kitty cats that share the property but we can certainly put them in the house if they ever become a bother.

We have designated smoking/vaping areas outside. There’s absolutely no smoking or vaping in the guest quarters.

The Sequoia national Forest is only miles away!

There are no large gatherings or parties allowed on the property.
