We were spending most of our time out doing things, but this little place was a great place to relax and recharge at the end of the day. We loved the area, Valley Stream is a cute little place on Long Island. We used public transport for everything and it was great to be within walking distance of the Valley Stream LIRR station (about 15-20 minute walk). When you first enter the back yard of the property it was like a little oasis, there was a nice balcony and comfy chairs outside to sit. The neighborhood was very quiet and cute, only heard the sound of airplanes taking off or landing at JFK. The bed was super comfy, there is a nice tv to watch some streaming services. The little AC unit cooled the room down very quickly. The bathroom was nice, the shower has a bench, which is awesome. Overall we loved our stay."

The unit has a separate front and rear entrance making it easily accessible to all. Our home is centrally located in a peaceful neighborhood and only 10 mins from JFK airport, 29 mins to Laguardia airport, 15 mins to USB Arena, and a 5 minute walk to Green Acres mall.

Room 1 boasts the grand master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, king size bed fitted with white down comforter and sheets, double closet, remote controlled ducted air conditioning unit.

Room 3 has two twin sized bed with a contemporary design and can be perfect for adults, children, pilots and flight attendants. This room also has an air conditioning unit.

The open concept spacious living room opens up in to the dining area and one can easily entertain while preparing meals in the kitchen. The large sectional sofa is super comfortable and makes for a great movie night with the 65 inch television.

The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances including a dish washer and as a bonus there is a Keurig single serve and iced coffee as maker.
The dedicated wash room is equipped with a washer and dryer for your convenience.

We are all senior citizens and found the house very adequate for our needs. Being older something to note, the downstairs basement is lovely with two bedrooms and the main bath. The stairs leading to the downstairs are steep but there is a handrail to assist individuals walking down and up the stairs. Take note however if anyone has limited walking abilities and needs a walker or cane assistance. The upstairs is great and easily accessible. The backyard is perfect for hosting a BBQ or outside gathering. The built in grill is large and there is also and outside sink and outside burner off the grill. The small refrigerator in the grill area does not get cold. Plenty of seating for everyone and a very large screened in Gazabo with seating and table. The inside of the house holds a breakfast bar and small eating area and then there is a very large dining table in the dining room that can accommodate 10 or more individuals. Our host Ariel came right over to clean the grill area and patio area. He is very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful oak tree or walnut tree above the gazabo that provides lots of shade. Big sun umbrella to shade the outside table that is outside of the gazebo. The property is also only about 1.5 miles away from the train station to catch a ride to Manahatten or the boardwalk area."

The space
Our home is situated 1-3 min away from three major highways for convenient travel to anywhere you want to drive to, Southern State Parkway (Travel East across southern Long Island for beaches and Hamptons), Belt Parkway (to JFK or Brooklyn), Cross Island Parkway (to Grand Central Parkway or LIE).

The space is on the second floor and has 2 bedrooms with a queen bedroom. The lamp includes a USBC, reg USB, and outlet output to help charge your devices.

The master bedroom and living room have a 55” LG TV with WebOS where you can use many apps like Netflix, Amazon Video Prime etc. We have gigabit connection which provides the fastest speeds up-to 600Mbps download.

We provide few games: Chess, Checkers, Jenga, Cards, Cards against humanity (Also, family edition) in case you need to keep someone or yourself entertained.

Our apartment is clean because we have a Shoes off policy, to ensure we maintain a clean environment for guests.

We provide plates, bowls, utensils, kitchen utensils, pot, frying pan. Our breakfast bar is a space that continues from the kitchen counter with high-end Nautica Home swivel bar stools that is great for eating, snacking, or working on your laptop as we installed a power outlet incase you need to work remotely.

Most of the space was renovated in 2023, so it is absolutely new.

Green Acres Mall is 5 min away, which has WALMART, TARGET, BJ’s Wholesale, PRIMARK, OLIVE GARDEN, RED LOBSTER, and FRIDAYS. Key food is a 15 min walk.

There is a Mosque (Majid Hamza) 3-4 blocks away and is 8- 10 minute walk.

- "I sent this to the host after I left. You are a nice man and I hope that what I have to say below will help you a lot going forward. The positives: the beds were comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. The inside of the refrigerator was spotless. We both the shower head. The wooden floors were nice. The range was fine. The drain in the tub is stopped up.. I takes a long time for the water to leave the tub. You might consider a sturdy hand hold affixed to the wall on the right when you are looking out the window in the bathroom. A non-skid mat in the tub would be great. The is an uncovered outlet in the large bedroom. The situation with the light at the top of the stairs is ridiculous. “That’s how it was when I bought the house” is not an excuse. Twice, the outside light did not come on when we left in the dark. Flipping the switch did not help. All the the shades are inoperable pieces of junk; they did not work and were falling apart. In the small BR there is a 2 1/2 inch hole in the wall & many patched holes elsewhere. The kitchen is ill-equipped, shabby, rundown, old and dated; the stuff in it is the cheapest available. Without AC, the kitchen was an inferno. The single baking pan was too large and it was dirty when we arrived. As you know, the top of the fridge was filthy. Having zero bath towels was insulting and shows a host who could care less about the unit. I asked Shahid about a refund six times via text.No reply."

- "Great location and helpful owner! Just minutes from JFK, short drive to Flushing Meadows and LaGuardia. Had a good time with extended family. Comfy beds, furniture. Some small hiccups in a newly refurbed place and first-time rental, for example, soap, salt-pepper, and 3 fun functional restrooms items should help. Owner went out of their way to hurry construction/repair, helped with early checkin and had great communication throughout. Easily slept 9 with room to spare, and couches seated the same number too! - "We enjoyed the stay at this quaint second floor apartment. A few small tweaks could have given the stay a 5 star visit. It was a bit smaller than expected but it fit our family well. We would have liked to have some extra sheets and blankets to use the pull out sofa and trundle that were available."
