This charming home borders the fields of Ghost Island Farm and is centrally located in West Tisbury. Our friends built this house with their father and put a lot of love and attention into the details: antique wood flooring, rustic Italian tiled floors, handcrafted doors, old beams. Breakfast at the kitchen counter, lunch on the screened-in porch, BBQ on the private deck and dine at a large antique oak table. Open, airy layout perfect for socializing. Upstairs bedrooms have window seats that overlook the fields of Ghost Island Farm. The house is sheltered from State Road by woods and feels very private with its own backyard. Beach passes are available for Lambert's Cove Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and only 2 miles away. The house is centrally nestled on the island: the Vineyard Haven ferry is only 10 mins away, the Flying Horses in Oak Bluffs is 15 mins, up-island Cronig's grocery store is 1 min, and Larson's Fish Market in Menemsha is 14 mins. We have high speed wifi and a smart flatscreen tv with streaming so you can stay as connected or disconnected as you wish. Recent improvements: Air conditioning, new roof, new refrigerator, new dryer, and extensive landscaping. Linens and towels not provided, but there are options to bring or rent on island with delivery. Come enjoy!

Beautiful restored 130 year old Sea Captain's House on historic Music Street in the heart of West Tisbury. The home was lovingly restored to it's original splendor by the owners, keeping all the architectural details. The candlelight dining room is wonderfully cozy to entertain friends. A spacious screened-in porch allows al fresco dining, a quiet location to read the book you have been meaning to read for the last year but never had time. The bedrooms are bright and airy with shutters and ample closet space. The outdoor shower is great for when you return from the beach. There is a gas barbecue in the backyard and an area for outdoor dining. Ample parking. Sleeps 10.

- "All the amenities that everyone needs." - "Molly’s house reminded me of some of my favorite vacation houses I stayed in as a kid. The house feels bigger than it appears in photos because of the layout and many different spots to sit and relax in. A rarity on Martha’s Vineyard - the house smells good, has beautiful old hardwood floors, and the decor is modern, personal, and eclectic - with many cute/cool vintage pieces and elements. It was cool and comfy in the day time, even without AC, and the yard offered nice places to sit or have dinner. Molly & her partner are welcoming, accommodating, and thoughtful hosts - but keep to themselves during the stay. One related note on that: the photos do make it seem like the house is by itself, surrounded by private yard space, whereas in reality it’s pretty close to 2 other houses. Despite that fact, you don’t feel encroached on by the hosts or neighbors, especially if you’re used to living in more densely populated areas. But, be mindful it wouldn’t be a great fit if you’re looking for more personal outdoor space/privacy and want the freedom to play loud music, have loud conversations, let loose outdoors, etc. Overall, a lovely house and super convenient to great local spots: 7 mins to Lambert’s Cove beach."

Gorgeous!! Great Location!!

Recently renovated with beautiful maple floors, cherry cabinetry and granite counter tops. High end appliances, easy cooking inside and out. Laundry is located in basement. Bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor. A charming deck is located just off the living room and is the perfect spot to open a book. Set on two acres abutting a 12 acre field in conservation, the yard is large with wonderful flower gardens. Private location, you can't see or hear the neighbors. Superb workmanship throughout. The ambiance is warm with many attractive touches. 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bath. Big Jacuzzi in the master bath. Entire home is flooded with sunlight. Excellent location, 1.5 mi from town center and general store. Half a mile to Sepiessa public pond frontage. Swimming, hiking, boat launch, walking and bike trails. Access to West Tisbury town beaches. Located mid island, close to all towns and activities. The owner, Jackie, is very friendly. She lives quietly in an attached apartment, however, peace and privacy is much assured. Quiet, well trained, hypoallergenic dogs could be considered.

Bright sunny apartment available on Martha’s Vineyard, close to the town center of West Tisbury.

As part of the deal we will make available, free or change, the use of a basic car to get around the Island. It’s a typical Island car, 2011 Honda pilot. A reliable vehicle, sits seven/eight and has room in the back for your beach chairs, towels, cooler, groceries etc. Car also has beach pass for nearby Lamberts Cove Beach.

Space has a king bed, a couch and chair, a small dining area, and a full bathroom with shower and claw foot bath.

There’s also a deck with some outdoor furniture and a grill, as well as Wi-Fi and smart tv.

There is a microwave, and refrigerator, but there is not a full kitchen. There is an outdoor grill if you want to barbecue. The place also has central air conditioning and heating.

This is the top floor of our house. There is another rental unit on the ground floor that has a separate entrance, and most likely you will not interact with anyone staying in the other unit. The parking areas and entrances to the yard are also separate.

There are dogs on property but they are friendly and will not be in your space. You may see them occasionally outside.

We are about 20 minutes from the main towns like Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, Although we are within walking distance to the grocery store, pharmacy, post office and a bus stop. We have additional parking for one vehicle if needed.

We are listing this for four people maximum. We can only provide a queen size air mattress for sleeping for three or four people.

We will also allow pets on a case by case basis, depending on the circumstances.

Deep Bottom Pond rental with lots of space and pond view. House sits in a lovely setting on a cul de sac. Beautiful open kitchen with breakfast nook. Large living room with bright dining area off to the side. Sit on the back deck and take in the views across the pond to the horse paddocks, watch the evening light play across the field or see the morning mist give way to a bright blue Vineyard sky.

House offers four generous bedrooms, one down and three up. Association’s small dock access for launching into Deep Bottom. Take one of our kayaks or bring your own kayak, canoe or other hand-ported craft and explore the tidal pools or paddle to the ocean. Great proximity to Long Point Beach, enjoy the south side surf or relax by the great pond’s quiet pools. The beach accommodates sun bathers, surfers, sand castle builders as well as pond swimmers looking for calmer and warmer water.

Chefs will find everything needed in the fully equipped kitchen which includes dishwasher, range, cook tops and large refrigerator with ample counter space. The grill is on the kitchen deck ready and waiting. Cupboards are filled with dishware, wine and beverage glasses, cookware and everything needed for casual as well as serious dining.

In addition, to stools for a quick bite at the counter, breakfast nook, dining room and outdoor rear deck umbrella shaded table seating can readily accommodate small and larger groups.

Rear deck overlooks sixteen acre field and paddock which includes a large pond. Sit on the deck or on the Adirondack chairs on the lawn or by the fire pit to unwind. If you're feeling sleepy, climb into the shaded hammock with a good book and beverage.

For exercise, play tennis on either of the two Association hard courts, take a bike for a spin in the nearby State Park bike paths; take a one of the two single or the double kayaks out on West Tisbury Great Pond and on to the barrier ocean side beach; pick up one of the Vineyard trail books and go for a hike; take a fishing pole and try your luck surf casting or simply head out to the beach to tan and swim

Nearby surf side beaches include Long Point, Aquinnah and South Beach. For smaller children try the pond at Long Point or Lambert's Cover, Menemsha or State Beach. No need to worry about beach chairs as we have them ready for your use.

Arriving back at the house, the enclosed outdoor shower is an excellent choice to wash away the beach sand and get ready for the evening.

The house has everything needed for a great vacation, including: three flat screen TVs, cable, free WiFi, radio with CD player and docking station. Games and puzzles are available for rainy or lazy days.

When it's time to retire, enjoy one of the two master bedrooms equipped with king size beds or get settled into one of the two bedrooms each with two twin beds. Need more sleeping space, unfold the sofa in the master for a double bed or unfurl the cot in the master closet. The masters feature adjoining bathrooms, while the twin bedrooms share a middle hall full bath.

We wade, swim, sail, sun, paddle and row from our 1,500' feet of private shoreline where we can also just sit and enjoy the natural stillness and wildlife. To reach ocean waves, sail, row or kayak 1.0 - 1.2 miles across Tisbury Great Pond to South Beach. Fall asleep with the sound of the ocean.

Rent bikes for the week (there's a great place that will deliver them!) and take an easy ride past gorgeous open meadows to Alley s General Store, the West Tisbury Farmers Market and 7A Foods for delicious coffee, pastries or sandwiches. There's also easy access to the island's many bike paths leading to Edgartown and beyond. Hickory Hollow located in Seven Gates Farm is a charming and tranquil setting within a 1600 acre association on West Tisbury's beautiful northern shore. Expansive lawns, gardens, stone walls, and mature trees grace the property. Three small ponds are alive with mallard ducks, frogs, small fish and the occasional heron. And a great variety of songbirds inhabit this lovely hollow and its bordering woods. This cozy updated farmhouse, with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, sits in the center of the green hollow. There are 3 additional structures on the property, one of which is a historic barn set up as a separate suite. The barn includes a kitchenette, full bathroom, open living/dining and a king bed. Also a large flat screen television. There is also a separate writer's study/bedroom. Two miles of private association beaches look out to the Elizabeth Islands and spectacular summer sunsets. Two large docks for swimming and boating, two tennis courts, and miles of walking trails through 1600 acres of wild association land, add to the pleasures of this unique West Tisbury property.

Whether you're interested in bird watching, whale watching, or simply relaxing by the water, there's something for everyone.

Inside, C-Haven has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The spacious living area is ideal for relaxing after a day of adventures. The full, open kitchen features full-size appliances (no dishwasher). Plus, there's a gas grill for outdoor cooking. From a futon for extra sleeping space to a washer/dryer for convenience, this house has everything to make you feel at home. The summer breeze keeps the vacation rental cool in the temperate climate. Like most homes in the area, there is no air-conditioning.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Relax and unwind in this gorgeous, light-filled architect's home, nestled on five private wooded acres near the Tisbury Great Pond. With free access to beautiful Long Point Beach, and close proximity to Lambert's Cove, bike paths, walking trails and horse farms, the house offers a serene and private retreat.

The first floor of the home has a large chef's eat in kitchen, fully equipped with a 6 burner Garland stove, appliances (waffle maker, panini press, blender, Cuisinart, coffeemaker, etc.) and table and cookware galore. A large outdoor gas grill off the kitchen makes cookouts a breeze, and you can enjoy your meals in the kitchen, on one of 2 outdoor dining tables, or at the formal dining room table which seats 8. Help yourself to herbs from the small garden just steps from the kitchen.

The double-height living/dining room has a fireplace for chilly nights, a grand piano, books, games and puzzles, and plenty of room for lounging. The air-conditioned sunroom next to the living room can be a 4th bedroom as needed. It has beautiful wraparound views of the lawn and flowering trees, a very comfortable Design Within Reach sofabed which sleeps 2, flat screen TV (with Roku) and DVD player, en suite bathroom, and plenty of closet and drawer space. The back deck is a perfect place to bask in the afternoon sun in the chaise lounge or Adirondack chairs, surrounded by mint and flowers. The outdoor shower off the back deck allows for post- beach showering.

Upstairs, a suspended walkway connects the three air conditioned bedrooms, all with views of the trees surrounding the house. The skylit primary bedroom is in the shape of an octagon, with wraparound views of treetops, queen bed, desk, and flat screen TV and DVD player. It has a small balcony, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, and en suite bathroom. On the other side of the walkway, you'll find two additional bedrooms, each with 2 twin beds, a shared balcony, and lovely views. The bedrooms have large closets and chests of drawers, and bedding to convert 2 of the beds into a King bed is available. A shared bathroom has a bathtub/shower and separate toilet room.

The house is perfect for entertaining and relaxing. It has 2 TVs/DVD players with Roku and a sound system which allows you to play music off your device or listen to records. There is a freestanding hammock, a cozy seating area on the front covered porch and dining tables on both the front porch and the front deck. We provide beach chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, a cooler, plenty of beach towels, and a rolling collapsable beach cart to easily carry everything from your car to the beach.

You are very close to miles of walking trails and bike paths, and we provide a beach pass for Long Point Wildlife Refuge, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Vineyard. Only a 15 minute drive from the house, Long Point has miles of pristine ocean beach with great surf, as well as a swimming beach on the Tisbury Great Pond where you can rent paddle boards and kids can play and swim.

When water levels are high enough, you can paddle a rented canoe or kayak on the pond just down the road from the house (we provide life jackets, and you can have boats delivered and picked up at the house), or walk or bike along a 1.5 mile woodland trail to Sipiessa, a small quiet beach also on the Pond. We are 3 miles from the small town of West Tisbury, which has a wonderful library with an excellent DVD collection and an amazing children's room. Explore the West Tisbury farmer's market on Saturdays, pick up homemade breakfast and lunch at 7a, or peruse Alley's General Store.

The sunroom/TV room and upstairs bedrooms have air-conditioning, and the numerous windows and sliding glass doors downstairs create excellent cross ventilation.

- "Our family, 6 in total, stayed for a wonderful August week in this private wooded home. The open modern great room was full of light, beautiful furniture, and a terrific record player and records. The three bedrooms were spacious and had comfortable beds and linens. We were so happy that the house was so well equipped with beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, bicycles, and kayak. The fact that you could put in the kayak just a ways down from the driveway on a small tributary offered several beautiful trips towards and into Tisbury Pond. What a bonus of the property! The children enjoyed football in the the yard while the adults read and worked peacefully in the sun room or on the lovely back patio. This house has everything and is chock full of the beautiful collected treasures of a well loved and well cared for family property. Location is great too- a few minutes from the markets at the MV Airport and Morning Glory Farm and Long Point Beach. Can’t wait to return!"
