This charming home borders the fields of Ghost Island Farm and is centrally located in West Tisbury. Our friends built this house with their father and put a lot of love and attention into the details: antique wood flooring, rustic Italian tiled floors, handcrafted doors, old beams. Breakfast at the kitchen counter, lunch on the screened-in porch, BBQ on the private deck and dine at a large antique oak table. Open, airy layout perfect for socializing. Upstairs bedrooms have window seats that overlook the fields of Ghost Island Farm. The house is sheltered from State Road by woods and feels very private with its own backyard. Beach passes are available for Lambert's Cove Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and only 2 miles away. The house is centrally nestled on the island: the Vineyard Haven ferry is only 10 mins away, the Flying Horses in Oak Bluffs is 15 mins, up-island Cronig's grocery store is 1 min, and Larson's Fish Market in Menemsha is 14 mins. We have high speed wifi and a smart flatscreen tv with streaming so you can stay as connected or disconnected as you wish. Recent improvements: Air conditioning, new roof, new refrigerator, new dryer, and extensive landscaping. Linens and towels not provided, but there are options to bring or rent on island with delivery. Come enjoy!

Beautiful restored 130 year old Sea Captain's House on historic Music Street in the heart of West Tisbury. The home was lovingly restored to it's original splendor by the owners, keeping all the architectural details. The candlelight dining room is wonderfully cozy to entertain friends. A spacious screened-in porch allows al fresco dining, a quiet location to read the book you have been meaning to read for the last year but never had time. The bedrooms are bright and airy with shutters and ample closet space. The outdoor shower is great for when you return from the beach. The house feels bigger than it appears in photos because of the layout and many different spots to sit and relax in. A rarity on Martha’s Vineyard - the house smells good, has beautiful old hardwood floors, and the decor is modern, personal, and eclectic - with many cute/cool vintage pieces and elements. It was cool and comfy in the day time, even without AC, and the yard offered nice places to sit or have dinner. Molly & her partner are welcoming, accommodating, and thoughtful hosts - but keep to themselves during the stay. One related note on that: the photos do make it seem like the house is by itself, surrounded by private yard space, whereas in reality it’s pretty close to 2 other houses. Despite that fact, you don’t feel encroached on by the hosts or neighbors, especially if you’re used to living in more densely populated areas. But, be mindful it wouldn’t be a great fit if you’re looking for more personal outdoor space/privacy and want the freedom to play loud music, have loud conversations, let loose outdoors, etc. Overall, a lovely house and super convenient to great local spots: 7 mins to Lambert’s Cove beach."

Gorgeous!! Great Location!!

Recently renovated with beautiful maple floors, cherry cabinetry and granite counter tops. High end appliances, easy cooking inside and out. Laundry is located in basement. Bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor. A charming deck is located just off the living room and is the perfect spot to open a book. Set on two acres abutting a 12 acre field in conservation, the yard is large with wonderful flower gardens. Private location, you can't see or hear the neighbors. Superb workmanship throughout. The ambiance is warm with many attractive touches. 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bath. Big Jacuzzi in the master bath. Entire home is flooded with sunlight. Excellent location, 1.5 mi from town center and general store. Half a mile to Sepiessa public pond frontage. Swimming, hiking, boat launch, walking and bike trails. Access to West Tisbury town beaches. Located mid island, close to all towns and activities. The owner, Jackie, is very friendly. She lives quietly in an attached apartment, however, peace and privacy is much assured. Quiet, well trained, hypoallergenic dogs could be considered.

Bright sunny apartment available on Martha’s Vineyard, close to the town center of West Tisbury.

As part of the deal we will make available, free or change, the use of a basic car to get around the Island. It’s a typical Island car, 2011 Honda pilot. A reliable vehicle, sits seven/eight and has room in the back for your beach chairs, towels, cooler, groceries etc. Car also has beach pass for nearby Lamberts Cove Beach.

Space has a king bed, a couch and chair, a small dining area, and a full bathroom with shower and claw foot bath.

There’s also a deck with some outdoor furniture and a grill, as well as Wi-Fi and smart tv.

There is a microwave, and refrigerator, but there is not a full kitchen. There is an outdoor grill if you want to barbecue. The place also has central air conditioning and heating.

This is the top floor of our house. There is another rental unit on the ground floor that has a separate entrance, and most likely you will not interact with anyone staying in the other unit. The parking areas and entrances to the yard are also separate.

There are dogs on property but they are friendly and will not be in your space. You may see them occasionally outside.

We are about 20 minutes from the main towns like Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, Although we are within walking distance to the grocery store, pharmacy, post office and a bus stop. We have additional parking for one vehicle if needed.

We are listing this for four people maximum. We can only provide a queen size air mattress for sleeping for three or four people.

We will also allow pets on a case by case basis, depending on the circumstances.
