A few days, the mugs the coffee was served in were dirty and had floating debris in there, the forks had visible rust, we had ants in the jelly on the table, and the creamer was curdled. The food itself was delightful, but the lack of cleanliness made it hard to truly enjoy it because I always had to double check that the serve ware was clean and that the ants didn’t crawl into the food. The location of the property is idyllic. I’m glad we had this experience but I am not sure I would be back."

Situated off exit 2, It has a great location as it is convenient not only the Sagamore bridge for a quick exit, but to the center of Sandwich, as well as Hyannis. 5 minutes from a large grocery store, and numerous restaurants serving local fare. You have the lovely fresh water Spectacle Pond at the end of my road with public access, as well as a 10 minute drive to East Sandwich Beach and Town Neck Beach. The property is less than 20 minutes from the Hyannis, as well as 20 minutes from the Sagamore Bridge.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Sandwich, Upstairs on Main is the perfect place to stay for a vacation in the quaint seaside town of Sandwich. The one bedroom studio is located on the second floor of a historic building which once was the town post office. It's been newly renovated and is walking distance to several restaurants, shops, historic landmarks and a 2 minute drive to the famous boardwalk beach. The downstairs unit we stayed in last time was set up as a small one-bedroom, the upstairs unit this time organizes the same footprint as a studio, with a larger kitchen in the space where the other has its bedroom. We preferred the first layout, but this one was fine too. Neither unit is beach-and-recreation oriented in the way other Sandwich places we've rented have been - so no beach towels, beach chairs, outdoor grilling facilities and the like are provided, nor are in-building laundry facilities. But as a base-camp for visiting Sandwich when one either doesn't require those enhancements, or has other avenues to access them (family living in Sandwich, in our case), this place can be perfect. Both units are decorated to a fare-the-well (and may have cornered the market on decorative pillows). And they are generously supplied with high quality amenities (like luxury towels) and cooking supplies. The hosts are solicitous and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely rent here again."

The location was so convenient--just a short walk to restaurants and shops!!! Such a great place for sight seeing!! We could not stop taking pictures!! There were several beautiful walks right outside the door of the cottage and a precious tea room just across the street!! We stopped there twice during our stay. She lives on property and was very attentive to all of our needs--even buying an iron and ironing board for us to unwrinkle our summer linen clothing!!! We fell in love with this house and town from the very first time we set foot in it. The house was completely rebuilt and renovated in 2017 and we've added a few more touches to make it a perfect beachside getaway. The windows and skylights make this house so sunny and cheerful. You can see a peek of the Scusset Beach light tower from the back windows. The neighborhood is fun and safe to walk around, jog to the beach, or just sit out at the front patio. This is our favorite place in the world and we hope you will enjoy it too!

I don't remember seeing in the listing that a linen service was required separately. I did get an email, but we rented while waiting to board a plane, so it was a surprise when we landed. Second Floor King Bedroom: Fitted with a king bed and a spacious closet for your belongings. This room also provides direct access to the loft.

Loft Area: Upstairs, the private loft (accessed via the king bedroom) provides versatile sleeping for families or groups. It features one full bed and two twin beds, plus a TV and games for extra entertainment.

There are two full bathrooms in this home for your convenience.

Main Level Full Bathroom: Located on the main floor, this bathroom also conveniently houses the washer and dryer.

Second Floor Full Bathroom: This private bathroom, accessible directly from the queen bedroom, features a bathtub with a convenient hand shower head, perfect for refreshing washes. Please note: Due to the home's historic architecture, the tub's ceiling height is limited, making it best suited for sitting to shower, especially for guests over 5 feet tall.

Both bathrooms come stocked with shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, and a hair dryer to save you space in your suitcase.

The private, fully fenced backyard is your personal oasis. Enjoy the pleasant Cape Cod air on the outdoor furniture, fire up the BBQ grill for a delicious meal, and take advantage of the refreshing outdoor shower after a day at the beach. The backyard shed is available for easy storage of the beach gear for you to use.

This home is a side-by-side duplex with no shared space or amenities. You'll stay in the B side which has its own laundry, private back patio and entrance.

DAMAGE PROTECTION:
When you stay at Heritage Home you're covered for damages up to $1,500 per stay.

HOUSE RULES:
We have a pet fee of $125, which covers up to 2 pets for the entire stay.

You must be 25 or older to book this home.

We have a driveway that comfortably fits one car. If you have two small sedans, you might be able to fit both, but it will be a tight squeeze. For additional free parking, there's plenty of space available on Pleasant Street. Please be mindful not to block any neighboring driveways or park on any lawns.

Bookings over 29 nights require signing a rental agreement.
