Located in the heart of historic downtown Sandwich, Upstairs on Main is the perfect place to stay for a vacation in the quaint seaside town of Sandwich. The one bedroom studio is located on the second floor of a historic building which once was the town post office. It's been newly renovated and is walking distance to several restaurants, shops, historic landmarks and a 2 minute drive to the famous boardwalk beach. The studio has a queen bed, 1 bathroom and full kitchen.

The downstairs unit we stayed in last time was set up as a small one-bedroom, the upstairs unit this time organizes the same footprint as a studio, with a larger kitchen in the space where the other has its bedroom. We preferred the first layout, but this one was fine too. Neither unit is beach-and-recreation oriented in the way other Sandwich places we've rented have been - so no beach towels, beach chairs, outdoor grilling facilities and the like are provided, nor are in-building laundry facilities. But as a base-camp for visiting Sandwich when one either doesn't require those enhancements, or has other avenues to access them (family living in Sandwich, in our case), this place can be perfect. Both units are decorated to a fare-the-well (and may have cornered the market on decorative pillows). And they are generously supplied with high quality amenities (like luxury towels) and cooking supplies. The hosts are solicitous and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely rent here again."

If you are traveling through Sandwich, this loft is a must-see.

We recommend this space for two people. While you can technically fit 4, it would be quite crowded.

The hot tub and sauna are shared with the host family. If you plan to use the hot tub or sauna, please let us know in advance so we can set it up for you.

Charming, private downstairs studio in historic Sandwich Massachusetts. This is a great space for you and your furry friend! Our place is centrally located 16 miles to Falmouth, 12 miles to Hyannis, 5 miles to shopping at Mashpee Commons, 6-9 miles to local beaches, 2-3 miles to groceries,restaurants and gas, 8 miles to the Sagamore Bridge, and 15 minutes to the Bourne Bridge.

The space
You will have a private entrance accessed through the backyard. You will have to step up 3 stone steps with a railing to get into the backyard, You’ll also have to access a flight of stairs to get in and out of the unit. Your suite is accommodated with a kitchenette including microwave and full-sized refrigerator (no stove). You will have access to an electric burner. You will have a queen size bed along with a large sectional couch. A unique sliding barn door gives the ability to separate the kitchen and living areas. The coffee bar area is equipped with a Keurig coffee maker which includes k-cups, nondairy creamers and sugar options. There is also an electric tea kettle.

Our space is most comfortable for up to 3 people.

Guest access
You will have access to a shared fenced in backyard which will allow freedom for your pup to roam. We ask for you to keep your dog out of the fish pond. As much as we know our doggies love the water the fish do not enjoy the company. Your dog must be people and dog friendly as there are 2 dogs upstairs. You will have access to your own grill, fire pit, and sitting area next to a relaxing fish pond and waterfall.

We also offer a twin or queen size blowup mattress upon request.

Other things to note
All dogs must be preapproved before booking. Please contact us with information. As mentioned in house rules there is no smoking inside.

Guests are welcome to smoke outside. (Please dispose of cigarette butts appropriately)

The building is historic and is know as the old Post Office Building, built in 1865. Because of the history, the building has a lot of character. The property is a shared-use building. There are two retail shops located on the first floor and typically open 10-5. The apartment is on the second floor, up a full flight of stars and is across the hall from a bridal shop that is open by appointment.

Lovingly appointed and nicely equipped apartment in Sandwich Village. There are beautiful views of the marsh and upland from this well kept property.
Walk to the famous Sandwich Boardwalk, a short distance away.
This is a private apartment that has the creature comforts you want, washer/dryer, full kitchen with dishwasher, endless hot water and of course AC and central heat. This is a walkable area with shops and restaurants. There is off street parking.
Lots of restaurants too!

The space
This is a studio apartment. Renovations have been completed in April of 2017. It is approximately 450 square feet. The photos are recent and the space is very clean.
There is high speed internet (600-800 mbps) which is more than sufficient for working and gaming. HD tv has 135 channels.
There is a full size washer and dryer in this apartment. Hard wired smoke and carbon monoxide are present. There are two means of egress and the space has been approved by the Town of Sandwich and a occupancy certificate has been issued.

Guest access
Guest access is through the interior staircase located on the side if the building. There is also access from the rear of the building through outside staircase. There are no shared common areas.

Other things to note
There is another apartment in this building on the first floor. It has seperate entrances and is rented as another Air BNB property. This apartment has the same rules as the one that you are viewing.....two guests maximum, no pets, no smoking etc..check in is on Saturday and check out is on Saturday.

Tastefully appointed and well equipped apartment in the center of Sandwich Village. Walk to the town beach, the famous Sandwich Boardwalk, fine dining, and the famous Sandwich Glass Museum. Lounge in the back yard and enjoy views of wetland complete with many species of native birds. Watch as the Cape Cod Scenic Railroad passes by marshland, cranberry bogs and the Cape Cod Canal. The marina is a must see with Cape Cod Canal views and boat to table dining. A great place to stage trips down Cape!

This apartment is one of two in this building. The second floor unit is also a vacation rental similar to this apartment, having a two person maximum, no pets or children.

Guest access
Guest access from the street is by a native stone driveway to parking in the rear of the main building (my place). There are two means of egress for safety and convenience. A lock box holds the key.

Other things to note
There is two apartments in this building, both rented through Air BNB. The second floor apartment has the same rules as the apartment you are viewing...two guests maximum, no smoking, no pets, etc.. State and local taxes totaling 12.45% are included.
Wifi is included along with a smart TV. Bring along your Netflix, Amazon TV or other streaming accounts to enjoy your TV viewing or watch Xfinity TV.
