A few days, the mugs the coffee was served in were dirty and had floating debris in there, the forks had visible rust, we had ants in the jelly on the table, and the creamer was curdled. The food itself was delightful, but the lack of cleanliness made it hard to truly enjoy it because I always had to double check that the serve ware was clean and that the ants didn’t crawl into the food. The location of the property is idyllic. I’m glad we had this experience but I am not sure I would be back."

Situated off exit 2, It has a great location as it is convenient not only the Sagamore bridge for a quick exit, but to the center of Sandwich, as well as Hyannis. 5 minutes from a large grocery store, and numerous restaurants serving local fare. You have the lovely fresh water Spectacle Pond at the end of my road with public access, as well as a 10 minute drive to East Sandwich Beach and Town Neck Beach. The property is less than 20 minutes from the Hyannis, as well as 20 minutes from the Sagamore Bridge.

This is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom house with about 1900 square feet of living space. Both bedrooms are very large with plenty of closet space. The open floor plan on the main floor plan encompasses a very large living room with a sleepable couch and an up-to-date kitchen.

Beautiful 4 bedroom house overlooking the great marsh with wonderful views of the Sandwich Boardwalk. It has been renovated but retains the character and charm of yesteryear. Kitchen opens to family and dining rooms. Upstairs the spacious great room is ideal to relax/look at the beautiful marsh and ocean beyond. Four bedrooms have 7 beds. In addition, there is a sofa bed and a blow up queen mattress. There is a large deck and a balcony on the second floor that looks out on to the Marsh and the ocean in the distance. The first floor bathroom was recently renovated and a sun room has been added. The kitchen is well appointed with much of what you will need to cook any meal.
A cozy studio cottage sits on the edge of the property, ideal for in-laws or a couple, it is open from May through October and includes an additional bedroom, bathroom and outdoor shower. 10 minute walk into town with close proximity to restaurants, beaches and Sandwich Marina.
There are 3 kayaks, 2 bikes, boogie boards, noodles, coolers, beach chairs, fishing poles and much more for your use.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Sandwich, Upstairs on Main is the perfect place to stay for a vacation in the quaint seaside town of Sandwich. The one bedroom studio is located on the second floor of a historic building which once was the town post office. It's been newly renovated and is walking distance to several restaurants, shops, historic landmarks and a 2 minute drive to the famous boardwalk beach. The studio has a queen bed, 1 bathroom and full kitchen.

The downstairs unit we stayed in last time was set up as a small one-bedroom, the upstairs unit this time organizes the same footprint as a studio, with a larger kitchen in the space where the other has its bedroom. We preferred the first layout, but this one was fine too. Neither unit is beach-and-recreation oriented in the way other Sandwich places we've rented have been - so no beach towels, beach chairs, outdoor grilling facilities and the like are provided, nor are in-building laundry facilities. But as a base-camp for visiting Sandwich when one either doesn't require those enhancements, or has other avenues to access them (family living in Sandwich, in our case), this place can be perfect. Both units are decorated to a fare-the-well (and may have cornered the market on decorative pillows). And they are generously supplied with high quality amenities (like luxury towels) and cooking supplies. The hosts are solicitous and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely rent here again."

Guests can expect modern convenience in the full kitchen and updated bathroom, right alongside characterful details such as sloped hardwood floors, an old-style, “good morning” staircase, low ceilings, antique accents, and artwork painted by the owner herself adorning the walls.

In the kitchen, the chef will find stainless steel appliances perfectly complement the butcher block countertops and exposed beams, and the formal, sun-filled dining room offers the perfect spot for a home-cooked meal. Spend time together in the living room streaming the latest release on TV, playing a board game, or reading a good book courtesy of the on-hand library. Use the free WiFi and desk in the sunny study to complete any remote work or grab a quick catnap on the daybed. When it’s time to venture out, the home is a quick walk to central Sandwich shopping, dining, and amenities. Town Neck Beach is a little over a mile away, with other attractions like golf, nature reserves, museums, farm stands, and the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard an easy drive.

At the end of the day, you’ll find two charming bedrooms at the top of the stairs, each featuring painted and stenciled hardwood floors and a view of Shawme Lake from the window nook. Memories have been made in this delightful home since 1680 - it’s time to add yours to the bunch.

The pond is great for kayaking, boating, and fishing. You must bring your own equipment.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The rooms were spacious with lots of natural light and a good location for the village. The locking system was tricky and the deadbolt on the other back door needs to be fixed. A kitchen trash can would be helpful as would a house number you could read from the street. The back door is short so taller folks need to duck. The home would not work for a young family nor older folks as the stairs to two of the bedrooms are very tricky, we left our suitcases on the first floor."
