Surrounded by conservation land, this historic property was once a carriage house dating back to the 1800's. It is adjacent to an organic farm, and flanked by 20 acres of protected woodland. Floral gardens and fruit trees are plentiful. The interior has wood floors, large windows, skylights, and stainless steel kitchen appliances. Decorated with well appointed furnishings and unique antique pieces throughout. Second floor balcony off the master bedroom. Each of the bedrooms have a queen size bed. Brick patio with outdoor furniture and a gas grill. It has an extra large bathroom with a washer/dryer, a huge lofted master bedroom with balcony. A sunny living/dining room with french doors that open onto a private yard with patio and outdoor furniture. This home is minutes to beaches and conservation trails. You can canoe or kayak down Pamet River, or drive 15 minutes to Provincetown for exceptional shopping, restaurants, entertainment and beaches. This home has wifi, so bring your devices if you need to. The cottage rents Sunday to Sunday in season, June through September. The rest of the year has a four day minimum.

Enjoy all the comforts of our modern home in the breathtaking Truro Hills. Ideally situated just minutes from Provincetown, Pamet Harbor, and the Cape Cod National Seashore, our home is the perfect getaway for family and friends. The house is newly refurnished, includes an A/C in the main living area, featuring 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms with queen beds, an additional den with a double bed, and outdoor shower. Take in the sunset and gentle breezes on the expansive, multi-level deck, or relax in the large open concept living space.

The space:
Comfortable indoor furniture, kitchen supplies, linens, and towels. There is high-speed wireless internet and cable TV, along with AC in the main living area. The kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine and a large island for preparing meals. There is an additional full size refrigerator/freezer downstairs. There is a new Weber gas grill outside on the deck, along with a new outdoor dining set and lounge chairs. There are also new cushioned chairs, loveseats, and coffee tables on the extended octangular deck, with pristine views of the Truro Hills and Cape Cod Bay in the distance. There is an outdoor shower on the lower level, along with a washer and dryer. We provide linens, pillows, and towels.

Guest access:
Guests can access the main living area of the house without having to climb any stairs. There is a short staircase to the den and second master bedroom on the lower level. There is a garage studio located some distance from the house but this is off limits to renters. The owners store boats in this garage, and may need access to the building from time to time.

This spacious four-bedroom home is an ideal setting for a relaxing Cape Cod vacation. Close to Longnook Beach on Truro's ocean side and nestled in a wooded two-acre lot, the secluded property has a heated in-ground pool--you may never even go to the beach!

Enter an open and bright main living space with cathedral ceiling. This space contains the living room, dining area and kitchen. The living room has comfortable seating, a ceiling fan and a slider that leads to a wonderful screen porch, a relaxing spot for a good book or a cup of coffee. The living room opens to the kitchen and dining area. The well-equipped kitchen has a double-wall oven, dishwasher and breakfast bar. The dining area has a large table and chairs. A slider leads to the deck, yard and pool area beyond. There is also a half bath on this floor. There is a 2ton mini split that cools this floor.

The master, the first of the home's four bedrooms is on the first floor. The master has a queen bed, ceiling fan, an ensuite bathroom with separate shower and jetted tub and a slider leading to the upper deck. The master has a window air conditioner.

Stairs from the living room lead to the lower level. The family room has comfortable seating and a flat screen TV with cable. A slider leads to the lower deck. On one side of the family room is a bedroom with queen bed, slider to the lower deck and an ensuite bathroom with shower. On the other side of the family room are two more bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and slider to the lower deck and the other has a pyramid bunk bed (twin on top, full on bottom) and a twin trundle (two twins). There is also a full bathroom with double sink and tub/shower on this side. The two Queen rooms have AC. All three bedrooms in the lower level have a ceiling fan.

Relax on the upper and lower mahogany decks. Follow the path through the nicely landscaped yard to the pool area with plenty of seating. Cook up dinner on the gas grill and eat out on the patio with dining table and chairs by the pool.

Comforts include heated pool, unenclosed outdoor shower, gas grill, cable, WiFi, washer/dryer, ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms and A/C (3 of 4 bedrooms).

Secluded and private, the home is a little less than two miles to Longnook Beach on Truro's ocean side. Short drive to Truro's bay beaches, Cape Cod National Seashore beaches, sites and trails, tours of Highland Light House, wine tasting at Truro Vineyards and live concerts at Payomet Peforming Arts. Less than a twenty-minute drive to the center of Provincetown for shopping, dining, galleries, live shows, night clubs, whale watches, fishing charters and other fun on the water.

The house will sleep a maximum of 6 adults and 4 children. Children must be able to swim. Please, no toddlers.

- "The property is on a hill surrounded by trees. The rooms are all spacious. The main floor has high ceilings with many windows which allow for wind-cooled days and nights. There's a screened porch which offers separation from the main floor. The pool is great option if you're not up for the beach, or if you want to cool off after the beach. You can catch a Glimpse of the Pamet River from the upstairs bedrooms. Walk down a private path to the river for a stroll. Or paddle through the meandering tidal river at high tide by kayak or stand up paddle (2 of each provided)

We also can provide bikes, or bring your own because it’s a short bike ride to Ballston Beach on the ocean side or Corn Hill Beach on the bay, and a few prestige kettle ponds we can tell you about along the way.

And when you get back home, you can rinse off the beach sand in the luxurious outdoor rain shower.

The house itself dates back to the 1700s and was thought to have been floated across Cape Cod Bay and up the Pamet river to its current perch. Over the years, it was renovated and added onto including a recent high end update to the the kitchen and master bathroom.

In our first year renting (2019), we purchased all new mattresses and high quality all-natural fiber bedding for your comfort.

We use natural and reclaimed materials throughout the house and property whenever possible, and a 7.1kwh solar panel array tucked away on a secondary roof keeps the the lights running and the a/c on when you need it without burning fossil fuels.

Welcome to Rose Hill, a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath house with reclaimed old wood beams, breezy porches, and complete privacy on the top of a hill in the Cape Cod National Seashore.

This relaxing, quiet retreat in a large clearing surrounded by trees has all the amenities you might need for a wonderful vacation on the cape. Song birds are everywhere on the 4-acre property! The house itself has one queen bed in the master bedroom, and two twin beds in the guest bedroom, all with expansive views overlooking the forest.

The house also has high speed satellite internet and high definition TV, as well as all the other amenities you would expect, such as a washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, gas BBQ, and outdoor shower!

Guests have access to Bay beaches (15 min walk or 2 min. drive) and ocean beaches (5 min drive), as well as all the woods, trails, and kettle ponds throughout the Cape Cod National Seashore. 12 minute drive to Province town or 5 min to Wellfleet.

This beautiful and spacious house on a meadow's edge in Truro is on the boundary of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Equidistant from ocean beaches and Cape Cod Bay in what is unquestionably the Cape's least developed township, the multi acre property features a hard-surfaced tennis court and out-the-door access to woodland hiking trails and rural biking paths. Provincetown with its art galleries, wide range of restaurants, very lively nightlife and access to undeveloped dune lands is seven miles to the north, and the picturesque township of Wellfleet is five miles to the south. Our family is the fourth generation that has ties to the property. We come out every year with enthusiasm to work on the house and look forward to sharing it with others who will enjoy being there as much as we do. Outside the busy summer months, the house and property have been used on a number of occasions as a pleasant and affordable setting for outdoor weddings, as well as at times during the off season for family reunions and other special events. Nearly all of the family groups who come during the core summer weeks between July 4 and Labor Day are people who have ongoing ties to the house, although the house is often used at other times of the year as you will see when looking at the calendar. Because the house is of exceptionally high quality, it's not at all suitable for groups of folks who are looking for someplace that's to be used for large parties. A turnover cleaning fee of $410 is added to the cost of stays.

This centrally-located Truro Cape is cozy, modern, and was built in 2006. It's just minutes away from several of Truro's beautiful beaches, both bay and oceanside, as well as Truro Vineyards and bike trails. Although convenient to Route 6, the location offers peace and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances, seating at the center bar, and additional seating at the high-top style dining set. The first level also includes the living room with flat panel HDTV, TiVO, and Blu-ray player, as well as two bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed, and the other with two twins. The second level offers a third bedroom with a queen sized bed, a den with seating and a second TV, and another full bathroom with shower. The exterior of the home features a great backyard area, as well as a gas grill, enclosed outdoor shower and outdoor furniture. Set in a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street, this lovely three-bedroom contemporary is a wonderful spot for your relaxing Truro vacation. Perched atop a hill looking out over the abutting, Cape Cod National Seashore wooded property, the home provides peaceful spaces--inside and out.

An upside-down design, the main living area of the home is on the second level and the bedrooms are on the first. Enter an open and bright main living area with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, tall windows and two sliders to the 40' wrap-around deck. This space includes a cozy living room with comfortable seating and flat screen TV with cable, a dining area with large table and room for everyone, and a nicely-equipped kitchen with island and counter seating. Enjoy panoramic wooded views from the entire main living area. There are electrically operated skylights, two ceiling fans and a ductless split unit air conditioner to cool this open and airy space. There is also a half bath on this floor.

Access the house via exterior steps to a front foyer (steps lead up to main living area or down to bedrooms) or a door from the driveway.

All of the home's three bedrooms are on the first level. Bedroom one has a queen bed, a flat screen TV with cable, a ductless split unit air conditioner, ceiling fan and an en suite bathroom with tub/shower. The property abuts the Cape Cod National Seashore property, a wonderful protected federal park which comprises most of Truro and beyond in all directions. Over 4,300 acres, it has miles and miles of hiking trails, fire roads and spectacular sand dunes with elevations to 90 feet overlooking pristine beaches, some accessible only via trail.

Walk down the back of the property and follow Higgins Hollow Road to the fire road which opens up miles and miles of breathtaking Cape forest and sand dune ocean side trails (see photos). Short bike or hike to Long Nook Beach (1.5 m) or obtain a weekly town beach permit and drive the short distance to each beach. Grab a beach fire permit from the Truro Fire Department and enjoy a romantic evening beach fire (beach firewood available behind the house).

This artfully decorated, filled with light, spacious, classic Cape Cod-style home is located on the ocean side of the Outer Cape, at the edge of the National Seashore. The 1st floor features one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a full bath with a shower. The second floor offers two sizable bedrooms: One is appointed with a king-size bed while two twin beds/trundles are situated in the second bedroom (if desired, the provided mattress converter can be used to create a king size bed by pulling the twin beds together). As a host/owner of this home quality is more important to me than quantity. I am looking for respectful folks not big party/drinking types. "Everything in moderation". Just folks that want to have a good time/but not too good of a time where anything would get broken, or my adjacent distant neighbors would be upset or disturbed. Please be honest about the number of guests and visitors you may have during your stay. Let's talk about it I am a reasonable person......With that being said this house is ultra private and one of the most unbelievably beautiful spots on earth!

Built in 1895, this iconic home is the subject of many Cape Cod postcards, and was the movie sight location for the early 1980's Henry Fonda film "Summer Solstice". Formerly called the "Robins Roost" was just rescued/moved back from a spactacular eroding coastal bluff and professionally restored. You will not find better amenities, beach, or views in Cape Cod. You are perched above Ballston's beach with a private trail onto the beach from the front door. Views inside the house are unobstructed directed at the Atlantic Ocean to the East and the Pamet Valley Basin to the West (The sunrises, sunsets and all day views from every room in the house can not be rivaled). Every bedroom has a beach and ocean view. The waves are easily audible and will lull you to sleep every night. The location is uber private and tranquil (you will not deal with neighbors or interruptions of any kind during your stay. If you are a famous person (no problem/no one will know you are there).

There are miles of beach to roam along the Cape Cod National Seashore right out of the screened porch and down to the beach along your private trail.

Inside the home is tastefully furnished with a dining table for 10, breakfast nook for 8, multiple sitting areas, a custom gas fireplace. The home also has new bathrooms and gourmet kitchen with subzero fridge and Thermador range. There is a 42" TV in the main living area and a widescreen TV in the basement. (currently working on some games in the basement with bar and ping pong table...please inquire about these amenities). There are 4 bedrooms with 3 kings and 2/twins. There are also some other sleeping options (ask when you inquire).

Probabky just picked a bad time of yesr for that. It is awesome that everything is so close. Provincetown is only a 15min drive at most. We had some programing issues with the main floor central air and since we inly stayed a few days it wasnt worth having anyone come take a look. The house stayed cool anyway and upstairs air was great. We are very glad we picked this rental and look forward to using Del Mar again in the future."

Our elegant, contemporary two-level home has perfect flow for family living and casual entertaining. - "This was a great stay for our family. The deck is probably the best part. So much space to hang and enjoy the outside. The kitchen is well equipped and the open concept living area is nice. The beds were comfortable. I prefer the bedrooms upstairs as downstairs is a little dark, and damp and the views out the windows aren't the best. It was fun to be able to ride bikes to Long Nook beach and walk to Balston right from the house. We used Old Kings Highway rather than going out onto route 6. They provide linens but you have to make up your own beds. I still wish these places would provide the basics like soap, garbage bags, laundry detergent etc. We had to purchase that. Because the property is managed by a Realtor you have to pick up and return your keys to an office in Welfleet which is not very convenient. Still, I would definitely rent this place again!"

The design of this 2014 3500+ sq ft contemporary home, refreshed in 2023, is built into a hill on 3 levels, creating multiple, colorful gathering spaces in a private setting. There is parking for 4 cars, and a stone walkway leads you through a small garden to the front door. Entering the house, you find a cool, slate-tiled entry with a closet for outerwear, a colorful powder room (half bath) and a convenient, but hidden washer, dryer and ironing board.

This light-filled home has four bedrooms and four and one half bathrooms. The owners live here in the off-season, and the furnishings mix updated antiques with more modern furniture that reflects their relaxed, yet fun sensibility. Art acquired during their travels is mixed with large travel and botanical photographs. Each room is thoughtfully outfitted, prioritizing comfort and color.

Public spaces are inviting. The large open living/dining area has14’ ceilings and over-sized glass sliding doors opening onto a deck that runs the length of the house. A large gas fireplace anchors one end of the great room. In the middle is an easy-to-clean glass table seats eight with room to pull up extra chairs. On the other side of the kitchen, a door opens onto a breezy screened porch with another easy-to-clean table for six.

The main living area is light-filled, with ample seating to lounge by the large gas fireplace on a cloudy day. When it’s sunny and there’s a breeze, push back the 3 sliding doors to connect the indoor seating with the large deck. On hot days, the central A/C keeps things cool; electric blinds quickly cover the west facing floor-to-ceiling windows. For entertainment there is a large, flat screen TV and Sonos sound system.

The floor to ceiling windows in this main floor living area frame a private view of Little Pamet Valley, looking west toward the town’s Corn Hill Beach (15 minutes walking; 5 by car). Sit out on the deck and surround yourself in the peaceful, natural beauty of Truro; have a private conversation by the fountain or sunbathe on the loungers. Enjoy the colors of the day’s end.

The kitchen is a foodie's delight. Wolf induction cooktop, Wolf double wall stove, Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer with separate wine fridge (set for red and white), microwave, dishwasher, two sinks, and a large center island with counter seating. Drawers are stocked with most of what you might want for cooking – utensils, oils, spices – and storing any leftovers. The pantry has a second dishwasher, another sink and an excellent assortment of dishware, cookware, knives and small appliances including a Keurig, French press and drip coffee maker, a 4-slice toaster and high-powered blender.

The roomy primary bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV with a Sonos speaker and plenty of closet space. It also contains an ensuite bathroom with both an indoor glass- sided shower and door leading outside to a wood-stained, private shower stall. Stairs by the entrance foyer lead to the second floor. Choose a book from the collection in the upper foyer. Didn't finish it during your stay; take it home with you (or leave for the next guest whatever you’ve finished. There are two bedrooms on this floor. One bedroom has a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom with custom shower. The other also has a queen bed and ensuite bathroom with a view! Sliding doors on one wall bring ample light and lead to a private deck, with two Adirondack chairs and a yellow umbrella. This light-filled bedroom also overlooks the Little Pamet Valley.

Back on the main floor a door opens to steps down to the lower level, with a desk, chair and lamp if you need a quiet place to work. There is also a fourth bedroom, with a queen bed and a sliding glass door to the ground level patio, with two oversized porch swings. Just across the hall is a large bathroom with both a soaking tub and shower. The downstairs family room is a very comfortable space with sleep sofa and large flat screen TV with Sonos sound system. There is a wet bar with sink, a Sub Zero fridge and a table with chairs--perfect for a jigsaw puzzle or a board game. Strong WiFi supports TVs, laptops and cell phones. A glass door leads to the lovely patio with gas grill, bar tables and chairs. Relax in the shade and enjoy the wooded views.

We are excited to share our recently updated downstairs apartment. We live year-round upstairs but privacy is welcomed.

Welcome to our secluded and cozy Truro apartment, with a private entrance, and washer/dryer, that sleeps up to 4, close to Corn Hill Beach.

Our separate and private downstairs apartment, includes a large kitchenette, focusing on outdoor grilling, with a 10.5 cubic ft fridge/freezer and a private washer/dryer in the unit. This unit sleeps 4 with one bedroom and a separate nook that converts to an additional sleeping area with a queen daybed. We are close (0.8 miles) to Corn Hill Beach. Some amenities include beach gear (chairs, umbrellas), a K-cup and drip pot coffee maker, a toaster oven, streaming Roku TV, high-speed internet, an electric kettle, a bar set up, towels and linens, a water cooler with ice dispenser, and more!

Dogs welcome! We are a dog-friendly home and allow up to two pets per stay. We have two chihuahuas, Buttermilk (almost 2 yrs) but we call him Buddy and our newest edition Harvest (3 months) nicknames Harvey. You may occasionally hear them playing upstairs, so it's not a ghost. haha.

Guests have access to the entire downstairs apartment. Your private entrance is in front directly off the red-brick walkway.

We live year-round upstairs with our two chihuahuas. You may see us occasionally but we prefer to keep to ourselves and let you enjoy your visit. Feel free to say hello or message us if you need anything.

PLEASE no parties or large gatherings. We live in a very quiet neighborhood. We ask that music and any louder than usual activities not begin until 10 am and end by 10 pm. Quiet hours on the property are 10 am - 10 pm.

Finally, our property is 420-friendly. As recreational marijuana is not hard to find between Provincetown and Wellfleet, we know that some visitors may want to partake and we want you to feel comfortable in our home if you choose to use recreational weed in any form. We do ask that you smoke outside. Please don't smoke indoors and no cigarette smoking at all on the property. If you would like recommendations for our favorite dispensaries please reach out!

Wonderful newly constructed 3BD+ contemporary home in Truro. Perched atop a hill at the end of a cul de sac, this bright and open house with central air conditioning is an ideal spot for your vacation--just a short drive to all the best of Truro.

From the first floor foyer, take the stairs to the second floor main living area. This open and bright space has a living room, dining area and kitchen. The living room has comfortable seating, a large flat screen smart TV with YouTube TV cable channels (stream additional content with your own accounts), gas fireplace and ceiling fan. The dining table seats six. A slider from the dining area leads to the large front deck with bistro table and chaise lounges. The nicely-equipped kitchen has granite countertops, a large island with counter seating, stainless appliances including a solid surface range, refrigerator and microwave and two coffee makers (drip and Keurig). A door from the kitchen leads to the lovely back patio with dining table and chairs.

The home's three bedrooms are all off the living room. The primary bedroom has a king bed, ceiling fan, slider to the front deck and an en suite bathroom with shower and double sink. The second bedroom has two twins and the third has a queen bed. There is also a second bathroom with tub/shower.

The den on the first floor has a flat screen smart TV with YouTube TV cable channels (stream additional content with your own accounts), a table for games, puzzles or work (if you can't get away) and a pyramid bunk bed (twin on the top, full on the bottom) for lounging or additional sleep space. The washer/dryer is also located on the first floor.

The front deck with comfortable lounge seating is a sunny spot for your morning coffee or relaxing with a good book. The lovely back patio is ideal for outdoor dining. There is an enclosed outdoor shower at the back of the house.

Garage is not for tenant use.

This area is an addition built in 2003 and over looks
a farm and Wilder Pond in Truro. It is located five minutes from the center of Truro and a mile or so from the ocean and bay beaches. I have always provided Continental Breakfast but you make your own coffee.

During your stay
I grew up here in Truro and know all the hidden joys that visitors might not avail themselves of unless someone points them in the right direction. Great walking trails with wild berries to be picked, special beaches or ponds they might not find. I'll be here to assist if the guests need me.

Other things to note
Just a couple of minutes walk to Snow's Park and a small grocery store serving luncheon items you can take to the beach.
Just across the Pamet River we have a restaurant five minutes away.
In the center of town by the Old Library, you can catch the Flex bus to Provincetown (save on parking fees) or to the small towns as far as Harwichport. It costs only a couple of dollars to use the Flex bus and runs about every hour. Schedule on line.

This house was built by my mom and dad. It is eclectic, with clean lines, the house itself is an artistic masterpiece. Three bedrooms downstairs, all comfy and spotless. A TV downstairs as well as, wifi through out the house.

You will have access to the downstairs, outdoor patio, and deck. Use of second, upstairs bathroom available if time is an issue. Cable TV, extensive video/dvd library and WiFi. There is a community refrigerator to store your drinks/snacks/take-out.

The Great Hollow Beach is a 7 minute walk from the house. Good restaurants, ice cream and pizza are a 7 minute walk in the other direction. Just down the road. This is a wonderful place to stay.

Beautifully renovated private 700 sq ft. cozy second floor studio with private entrance is situated on 3 wooded acres. Queen size sleigh bed, large closet, sofa, coffee table, dining or work table, chairs, art and local art and artifacts. There is a view of the woods and gardens, and a view of the Pamet River through the trees. The studio has wifi, Roku, there is a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, toaster, a coffee maker, microwave, and amenities.

The space
A quiet, cozy, private studio space located on the second floor of my garage/pottery studio. It is completely separate from my house and accessed by an outside staircase. There is private parking in the driveway for 1 vehicle, and it is walking distance to downtown Truro. Filled with light and and furnished with comfortable furnishings and original local art.

The studio suite is a completely new private space on the 2nd floor over my pottery studio with outdoor stair access. It is separate from my house, which is also on the property. It is NOT suitable for children or pets.

For a family vacation in Truro near the tip of Cape Cod, this is a simple, comfortable home surrounded by lawns, overlooking a wooded valley. Set on almost 2 acres, on a private lane leading to the Pamet River, within 5 minutes of bay and ocean beaches and a 15-minute drive to Provincetown. Rented by the week, Sunday-Sunday June-October. We don't supply towels, sheets or soap. There are light blankets, fans in each room but no a/c.

The space
This is a family home, an old-school summer house that's been in our family for over 40 years. If you want spotless, new or luxurious , it's probably not for you. On the other hand, this split-level, built in 1950 has a fully-equipped kitchen, sunroom, spacious living/dining area and a picture window looking out over the woods. You can barbecue on the front patio or breakfast in the enclosed sunroom. It's within easy biking distance of Balston ocean beach or the bay at Corn HIll
( also walkable), a short drive to other Truro and Wellfleet beaches and freshwater ponds.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has its own bath, with stall shower, and a queen bed. The second bedroom is large and has two twin beds. The third bedroom is smaller and has a double bed. Both these bedrooms share a hall bath, with a tub. There's wi-fi and a fan in each bedroom, but no tv and no a/c. We don't supply towels or sheets -- if you don't want to bring your own, The Furies in Wellfleet does linen rentals.

You can walk about 100 yards down a dirt road for deeded access to the Pamet river for hikes at low tide or kayaking/canoeing at high tide. Corn Hill bay beach is about 1/2 mile away and Balston, the nearest ocean beach is about 1.5 miles, as are several freshwater ponds. It's a 15 minute drive to Provincetown for shopping, dining and strolling. Also about 10 minutes to the quieter town of Wellfleet, which has a number of art galleries. About 1/4 mile away is a well-stocked general store.

Bright , 3 rd floor , new ,sunny 1050 sq ft studio apartment in North Truro off of Rt 6. Private entrance with deck , gas grill and seating. Parking for one. The apartment is next to our home and there is a tenant below, we ask that there are no parties and no smoking in the apartment. Provincetown is a 12 minute drive or take the shuttle at the end of our street. We have 2 dogs that never leave our fenced in yard at the main house.A very short drive to Ocean and Bay beaches. We have been fully vaccinated and follow the Covid 19 cleaning protocol. Everything is changed over and washed on high heat, including blankets, mattress protectors, pillows, pillow protectors decorative pillows, etc..We use Lysol products only and am VERY particular when it comes to cleanliness.

Our elegant, contemporary two-level home, set on two wooded acres, was designed by a local architect (Geiger). It has a perfect flow for family living and casual entertaining. The spacious living area has a wood-burning stove, skylights and cathedral ceiling, stereo, cable, WiFi and television with DVD and VCR. Sliding glass doors lead to a large deck overlooking woods and a small pond. The fully-equipped, newly renovated kitchen includes toaster, coffeemaker and microwave.

Welcome to 73 Castle Road. We hope you enjoy your stay. Here are a few items we’d like you to know about our house and the area:

In our attempts to ensure that you have an enjoyable and healthy vacation in Truro, we are asking that you follow the following guidelines regarding COVID-19. We expect all tenants to follow guidelines for social distancing and wearing masks if you are unable to social distance around Cape Cod. If you feel sick, you should stay home. If you become sick while in Truro, we ask that you let us know.

Please be advised that, as of July 1, if you are arriving in Massachusetts from any state other than the following, you are asked to quarantine for 14 days: Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, New York and New Jersey. This is a rapidly changing situation, so please check for updates before you arrive.

The house has been inspected and should be in excellent working order. Please inspect it upon arrival and inform us if you find anything of concern. We will attempt to tend to it right away. Of course, it might take a day or two to resolve the problem, as we’ll have to engage the appropriate providers.

This year, we have made an extra effort to disinfect the house and to leave you cleaning products to do any additional cleaning on your own, so you feel comfortable that the house is completely clean.
We are asking that you supply your own linens this year in order to protect yourselves and everyone else from transmission of the COVID -19 virus. We have two queen beds and two sets of twins in the smaller bedrooms. Please also bring your own beach supplies.

1. The house is equipped with a new water heater. The water should be turned on upon arrival. If for any reason the water is off, you will find the pump switch in the closet at the foot of the stairs. The pump switch is in the OFF or DOWN position. The yellow lever is at right angles to the pipe. To turn water on, the yellow lever will be turned parallel to the pipe and the pump switch will be turned on. To turn off, when leaving, just reverse. Turn yellow switch to right angle with pipe, turn pump switch off/down. Should you have any problems, please call us.

2. Dehumidifiers – The house is built into a hill, which means the basement floor tends to be damp. This is alleviated by the presence of two newly-installed dehumidifiers in the lower bedrooms. Please leave it on at all times, as it will drain the air of most of the humidity and keep the bottom floor cool as well.

3. Beach Permits – can be obtained for a small fee at the Chamber of Commerce located on Route 6A. Present a copy of the rental agreement as proof of residency along with the filled in agreement provided by the Chamber.

4. Trash - pickup has been arranged. It will take place Tuesdays and Fridays. Cans are to be left outside the house in front of the kitchen sliding door. The truck will come up the driveway to pick up the trash. It should be placed outside by 6 am the day of collection. Recycling is picked up on Sundays, which will be after your arrival. Apologies if anything unsightly has been left by previous renters. We encourage you to be respectful of those who will follow but also reassure you it will be taken away shortly.
Please use a paper bag for paper and the blue recycling bin for glass, plastic and foil.

5. Washing Machines – The water for the washing machine may have been left in the off position. If so, it should be very clear. The switch is located over the machine and merely has to be moved to the on position. Water on the Cape is very hard, which means a very small amount of laundry soap will go a very long way.

6. Outside shower is located on the side of the house and is a real treat after a day at the beach or pond.

7. Regulations regarding social distancing and use of the beach are rapidly changing this year. For beach information, you might want to visit Trurochamberofcommerce.com for information. No permit is needed before 9:00 am, after 4:00 pm, or before the third Saturday of June and after Labor Day weekend.

Corn Hill Beach (Bay) is walking distance from the house. From the driveway, turn right. Follow Castle Road until you reach the fork in the road. Follow the fork to the left. This is Corn Hill Road. You’ll see the Pamet marshes on the right. Follow Corn Hill Road until it veers right, You’ll see a small beach house in front of you and the parking lot for the beach around the corner on the left.

Ballston Beach (ocean) is a ten minute drive away. Turn left out of the driveway, drive. Head East on Castle Road towards Tom’s Hill Road. Continue on to Truro Center. Turn left onto South Pamet Road. Destination at the end of the road on the right.
Note: Sadly, last we heard, Ballston Beach was wiped out by the March Noreaster. Will be interesting to see how the town manages that.

Longnook Beach (ocean) has the best dunes. Head north on Castle to
Road. Turn to stay right on Corn Hill Road. Turn Rt. Onto Route 6W .5 mi; Turn left onto Longnook Road, 1.7 mi.

8. We have a no smoking and no pets policy in the house. We’d like to leave it smelling clean and fresh for subsequent tenants. Also, we’d like to respect that some people have allergies.

9. Outdoor furniture: If a storm is approaching, please bring all moveable furniture inside the house. There are pillows for the furniture, but we’d appreciate your not leaving them outside when you’re not using them. They can blow away, damage the house, or hurt people during a hurricane. Also, they are white and we’d like to keep them looking nice.

10. Our garden: The only way in which we are able to maintain our garden is the installation of a watering system. This is provided through the hose on the side of the house to the right of the kitchen entrance. Please do not turn off that water or touch any of the wiring around the hose connection.

Shopping/Events:

1. Jam’s is convenient for food shopping but is very expensive. For the nearest comprehensive grocery store, you’ll need to drive to the Stop and Shop in Provincetown or the Stop and Shop in Orleans.

2. You will find information about opportunities in the area in the white organizer on the half wall near the window of the dining room. Feel free to use it, but please leave it when you leave for the next renters. Brochures are also located in ample supply in stores around the area. The Cape Codder newspaper is also a wonderful resource for information about the area.

3. Please use coasters in the living room, as wet cups can leave water marks on the half walls. These are impossible to fix.

4. Please use cutting boards on the kitchen counter. Knives will cut right through the countertop.

5. The house is equipped with the Internet. The system is called Netgear and doesn’t need a password. There should be no problem hooking up. Please let us know if there’s a problem since this is a new system.

Again, the house will be cleaned thoroughly using guidelines for prevention of COVID-19 spread and cleaning materials should be available for your use throughout the house. For your comfort, you may want to do some disinfecting yourself once you arrive and throughout your stay.

Complete laundry if it is required for linens/towels/etc. (This includes folding and returning dry items to the linen closet.) Please note: if our cleaning lady has to wash your linens, you will be charged an extra $60.00. If you prefer, you can also rent linens in the area.

The space
When you arrive at the house you'll notice the natural setting and the inviting screened-in front porch. Upon entering our home you are greeted with a well-appointed, spacious, and open floor plan. Updates include 3 new sliding doors, new windows in the walk-through bedroom, updated bathroom downstairs, primary and secondary king bedroom furniture, new ceiling fan and updated furniture in the living room.

The screened-in porch is setup as an outside living space for relaxation complete with lounge set and new ceiling fan w/light for your comfort (new screened-porch furniture arriving by spring).

The full kitchen is well-appointed and open to the dining and living room spaces. The large dining table seats 8 people comfortably.

The living room is very comfortable; furnished with updated comfortable flare (new photos coming after the arrival of the rest of the furniture). YouTubeTV streaming service is provided to you with all the local and extended channels as well as other streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and many other apps have been downloaded as well for your convenience, guests are required to sign into their own accounts for the services not provided in the listing. There is a full bathroom just off the living area.

Exit the sliding glass doors off the dining room to the large upper deck with a second dining table and seating for 8 and an additional seating area for relaxation. Down the steps you’ll find the lower deck filled with plenty of sunlight and reclining lounge chairs for sun lovers and access to the outdoor shower.

Bedroom #1 - located on the first floor is the spacious ensuite bedroom with a king size bed, plenty of closet and drawer space, and plenty of windows with beautiful wooded views. This room has air-conditioning.

Bedroom #2 - located on the lower level next to the third full bath. This bedroom room has two twin beds and a sliding door which brings you to the lower deck and outdoor shower. This room has air-conditioning.

Bedroom #3 - is located downstairs and is a walk-through room (to bedroom #4) to serving as an additional TV room with two, twin beds (staged end to end, see photos) for additional flow-over sleeping space (for young children only) if needed. This room has air-conditioning.

Bedroom #4 - located on the lower level just through bedroom #3 is a very spacious bedroom with a king canopy bed, sofa & love seat, armoire and dresser storage with its own entrance and access to the lower deck and outdoor shower. This room has air-conditioning.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire house except the utility room which is clearly designated as "no guest access". There are two small closets that are locked (not for guest access) the house has plenty of closet space for guest use in each bedroom. The kitchen pantry is also locked, the upper cabinet directly the microwave is the guest's food pantry.

Other things to note
This property is AKA Turkey Hill. During your stay don't be surprised if you see a harem of turkeys on or near the property. Occasionally fox and/or coyote will decide to make an appearance; although they are more afraid of you than you are of them it would be best to not leave pets unattended when they are outside. Dogs are to be kept on leashes while they are outside due to all the surrounding wildlife that roams freely through the area. PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY (15 mph or slower) on Avery Hill Way as there are children in the neighborhood and access to the house is on a very narrow, single-lane road. It's a very short stretch of road, enjoy the serenity.

The space

The kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine, and a large island for preparing meals. There is an additional full size refrigerator/freezer downstairs. There is a new Weber gas grill outside on the deck, along with a new outdoor dining set and lounge chairs. There are also new cushioned chairs, loveseats, and coffee tables on the extended octangular deck (not pictured yet), with pristine views of the Truro Hills and Cape Cod Bay in the distance. There is an outdoor shower on the lower level, along with a washer and dryer. We provide fresh linens, pillows, and towels but not beach towels.

Guest access
Guests can access the main living area of the house without having to climb any stairs. There is a short staircase to the den and second master bedroom on the lower level.
PLEASE NOTE: The lot can accommodate a maximum of four cars. No more than four are permitted at any time as it would block neighbors' access to their houses.

There is a double-car garage located some distance from the house but this is off limits to renters. The owners store boats in this garage, and may need access to the building from time to time.

New modernist 2 bedroom guest suite in Truro. Abutting conservation land with trails to the beach, this recently constructed suite on a private road overlooks a beautiful pine and oak forest. The suite has a separate entrance & parking, a large back deck & outdoor shower. It features art and ceramics from local and NE artists. Furnishings set a mid-century vibe. Only a 5 minute drive to local beaches and ponds and the Truro Center for the Arts. Less than 15 minutes to Ptown & Wellfleet.

The space
The newly constructed main house and guest suite were designed by a local architect (Stephen Magliocco & Associates) and evoke a modernist sensibility that can be found throughout the Outer Cape.

The rooms feature 9 foot ceilings, each bedroom has a private bath and the main room features a quad slider that opens out to a furnished deck which includes an outdoor shower and grill. All furnishings are new.

The suite is not accessible from the main house and has a private entrance and deck. To see how the suite is situated, look at the site plan under ‘exterior photos’.

Less than a five minute drive from the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill, the suite features art and ceramics from area and New England artists.

We also offer a Guide with our personal recommendations for things to do on the Outer Cape. This includes nature hikes and activities, fine dining and casual eating, local theatre and shows and our favorite art and craft galleries.

We include a large selection of books on the history of (including its modernist period) of the Outer Cape and guidebooks on the wonderful pastimes, both cultural and natural, that the Cape has to offer.

For cooks, we offer the following herbs for harvesting: mint, basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, tarragon and marjoram. We also supply local cookbooks featuring seafood and other specialties.

Given our setting against conservation land, you may be visited by small flock of wild turkeys that live in the woods around the house. They are shy but quite striking birds. A box turtle may occasionally wander by. You may hear coyotes and foxes at night. On a clear night, if you look up, you will see stars, stars and still more stars.

Guests have access to a private two bedroom suite and deck. The suite is separate from the main house (they are not connected) and has its own private entrance and parking space.

Castleway cottage is historic 1100 sq foot three season cottage, steps from the Pamet River which opens up into Cape Cod Bay, 1 mile south of Corn Hill Beach. Built in the 1890's as an artist's colony, Castleway is one of 8 Sladeville cottages built by Mr. Slade, which are steps from private riverfront on the Pamet River. The space
Cottage is simple and charming, with a remodeled kitchen, small first floor full bath with tub and shower, outdoor shower, three small bedrooms on the first floor and two on the second, along with a half bath. Sleeps 7-8 comfortably and up to 9 if some guests are small children. Living room has a recently redone working fireplace ! Dining room table can seat 8-10, or it can be closed up and used for smaller groups. There is a small TV in the living room and a second one in the upstairs master bedroom. Internet is provided and signal is good, as is a land line for local calls (cell phone service can be spotty). Old fashioned but clean and very functional. Bedrooms are small but have water views and plenty of windows for nice light and ventilation, and beds and linens are in good condition. The space
House feature 2 brand new full bathrooms and a chef's kitchen with high end appliances. The house has been restored to maintain all of its early charm, while being updated to include modern amenities such as central AC.

The first floor includes a newly-renovated bathroom with tub and a bedroom with a full bed (with water view), a spacious dining room, and comfy living room with water views . The second floor includes a bedroom with a queen bed and a main bedroom with queen bed and designer en suite bathroom with oversized shower. Note that the upstairs two bedrooms are accessed via a charming but steep original staircase (see pictures) that could be challenging for small children or guests with mobility challenges.

The fourth bedroom is accessed via a separate staircase from the kitchen with a full bed. The kitchen has French doors that open on to a pea stone patio overlooking a lush garden and back yard. There is a grill making this the perfect place for a summer cookout. Off the kitchen there is a changing room and amazing outdoor shower that is quintessential cape cod.

The apartment has it's own pond access and deck and does not share living space with the house. There is a shared WIFI unit between the two accomodations. The studio is not space that is included with the house.

The space
The house itself dates back to the 1700s and was thought to have been floated across Cape Cod Bay and up the Pamet river to its current perch. Over the years, it was renovated and added onto including a recent high end update to the the kitchen and master bathroom.

This year, we purchased all new mattresses and high quality all-natural fiber bedding for your comfort.

We use natural and reclaimed materials throughout the house and property whenever possible, and a 7.1kwh solar panel array tucked away on a secondary roof keeps the the lights running and the a/c on when you need it without burning fossil fuels.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house (minus some closets and basement area reserved for storage), and the private salt water pool. Also, 2 kayaks and 2 stand-up paddle boards are provided with private access to the pristine Pamet River.

Please note that this is antique home with many steps and nooks. So it may not be the best place for handicapped persons.

Please note that I will have to collect a 12.45% occupancy tax. Airbnb recommends I collect it in person or via the resolution center after check in. I am embarrassed to have to do this this way. I would not be happy about it as guest, but Airbnb has no other options at this time.

As a host/owner of this home quality is more important to me than quantity. I am looking for respectful folks not big party/drinking types. "Everything in moderation". Just folks that want to have a good time/but not too good of a time where anything would get broken, or my adjacent distant neighbors would be upset or disturbed. Please be honest about the number of guests and visitors you may have during your stay. Let's talk about it I am a reasonable person......With that being said this house is ultra private and one of the most unbelievably beautiful spots on earth!

Built in 1895, this iconic home is the subject of many Cape Cod postcards, and was the movie sight location for the early 1980's Henry Fonda film "Summer Solstice". Formerly called the "Robins Roost" was just rescued/moved back from a spactacular eroding coastal bluff and professionally restored. You will not find better amenities, beach, or views in Cape Cod. You are perched above Ballston's beach with a private trail onto the beach from the front door. Views inside the house are unobstructed directed at the Atlantic Ocean to the East and the Pamet Valley Basin to the West (The sunrises, sunsets and all day views from every room in the house can not be rivaled). Every bedroom has a beach and ocean view. The waves are easily audible and will lull you to sleep every night. The location is uber private and tranquil (you will not deal with neighbors or interruptions of any kind during your stay. If you are a famous person (no problem/no one will know you are there).

There are miles of beach to roam along the Cape Cod National Seashore right out of the screened porch and down to the beach along your private trail.

Inside the home is tastefully furnished with a dining table for 10, breakfast nook for 8, multiple sitting areas, a custom gas fireplace. The home also has new bathrooms and gourmet kitchen with subzero fridge and Thermador range. There is a 42" TV in the main living area and a widescreen TV in the basement. (currently working on some games in the basement with bar and ping pong table...please inquire about these amenities). There are 4 bedrooms with 3 kings and 2/twins. There are also some other sleeping options (ask when you inquire).

Wellfleet and Provincetown are a 10-15 minute drive. World famous "Moby Dicks Seafood is a 7 minute drive. There is a liquor store, sandwich shop, fish market and regular market all within 5-10 minutes.
Minimum one week stay required in the summer. Discount for 2 weeks and longer. 4 nights required in the offseason unless you are an easy group (send me an inquiry). Corporate meetings welcome. 8 occupants negotiable if there are additional children I will consider.
