The Lena Coleman apartment is the least-changed of the four apartments at Ship's Light. The layout remains the same, with a fully-equipped open kitchen/dining/living room area, cozy bedroom with comfortable queen-sized bed and a beautifully-tiled bathroom with new fixtures. It boasts a lovely porch deck, from which you can enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine while watching the sunset. It also has newly-installed, solar-powered air conditioning and heating throughout the apartment. The house has two Level 2 EV chargers for use by renters.

Ship’s Light has looked down Cross Street to Chatham Village Center for almost 200 years. Built and occupied by some of Chatham’s most eminent residents since 1825, it was converted to four housekeeping apartments for summer visitors circa 1945. Lovingly restored by long-time current owners, this gracious antique home offers modern comfort and convenience with the character and charm of a bygone era.

Named for my grandmother, the “Lena Coleman” apartment is a three-room, one bedroom gem. Airy and light, the eat-in kitchen boasts a bay window, with a round oak table and chairs and stained glass chandelier; the inviting living room has built in cabinets and a cozy window seat, two comfortable chairs and a smart-TV. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. Perfect for a couple, the bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and a natural bead-board ceiling with exposed beams. The bath is beautifully tiled with a marble sink and sky light. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private roof deck with your loved one or watch the sunset while sipping a glass of wine. There are so many activities to do and see in Chatham. Boating, Fishing, Biking on a dedicated bike trail, Seal Cruises visiting the Commercial Fish Pier, the Coast Guard Station to name a few. There are several beaches near by. The closest are Ridgevale & Hardings Beaches a little over a mile. Daily or Weekly beach stickers for Ridgevale, Hardings, Cockle Cove and/or parking along Bridge St for Lighthouse Beach are available at the kiosk in the beach parking lots. Harwichport is a few miles west. Both favorite spots for a day of shopping or a night out

For bikers it is easy to pick up the Old Colony Rail trail to Harwich where it connects to the Cape Cod rail trail that runs 22 miles from Dennis to Wellfleet.

The lot is beautifully landscaped with mature, colorful gardens and fruit trees, rock walls and a shell driveway. It is a short walk to famed Mac’s Seafood Market and restaurant, as well as numerous other convenient shops and restaurants. The property is only a 5 minute drive to Harding, Ridgeville and Cockle Cove beaches. If you prefer the ocean side beaches, Lighthouse Beach is only a 5 minute drive east. And if you like riding a bike - only ten minutes to Harding Beach and Chatham village center. Nearby Monomoy Wildlife Refuge on Morris Island is another beautiful spot to explore in addition to the many surrounding villages like Orleans, Brewster and Harwich.

A SUMMER VACATION ON CAPE COD!

"CHATHAM UP" is a wonderful home located in North Chatham within a very established family neighborhood great for walking, biking. Veteran's Field where the Chatham A's Baseball play is .4 mile away. Oyster Pond is 1.0 mile away. There is a newly renovated bath. A brand new pull out couch that sleeps one for a total of five. Open and spacious living and dinning area. Many beautiful beaches on Nantucket Sound.

The space
There is High Speed internet and Netflix for your enjoyment. Relax on the back deck or front open porch after clamming on Morris Island Rd, sunning at Scattaree Beach or Oyster Pond. There is a very large side yard perfect for all your Summer games like badminton, croquet, volleyball all lawn games. Make use of the outdoor shower!

The bunk beds in the second bedroom are now two separate single beds.

The entire house and yard. This is a year-round Rental. There is absolutely NO smoking allowed inside the home as our family and some guests have allergy concerns. Any smoking done outside, we respectfully request all cigarette butts are placed in the trash receptacle outside next to the garage. Guests can bring their own bed linens and towels. If you prefer to have them provided we will be happy to do so. There will be a $50.00 linen and towels laundered fee. The cleaning fee is $150.00On a case by case basis we do allow pets and there is a $19.00 per pet per night additional cleaning fee which will need to be made prior to check-in. Thank you! These costs are simply pass thru costs from our cleaning company and will need to be made through Airbnb Resolution Center before check-in. If guests would like to watch Netflix movies, shows etc. that are pay-per-view they must do so using their own personal account. During the last two weeks of June and the months of July and August there is a 7 night minimum stay and rents Saturday to Saturday.
