The wedding was beautiful and held under a big willow or oak tree on the main campus. the service was IMPECCABLE. I spilt some red wine on my dress and someone immediately brought some seltzer water and recommended local dry cleaners and I had my dress back perfectly clean by the time I left . Brilliant. We rented bikes and rode along the cape cod rail path that was recommended online somewhere. Ask to go towards orleans on the path because you can stop and get ice cream. We went to nauset beach and it was absolutely packed. If you walk down to the right, it gets much better and the water is so nice. HIGHLY recommended. Bring a cooler and chill out. best vacation ever award."

Hiking out to Wing Island from the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is also fun! Just make sure to time your visit according to the tides on Brewster’s low-tide flats. There are also some fresh water beaches at Nickerson State Park as well.

If you’re looking for a great place to golf, check out Captains Golf Course less than a mile away on Freeman’s Way. National Golf Course is a little further up the road on Route 39.

We are ideally situated, with an approximately 45 minute drive to both Provincetown and to Plymouth. Provincetown is near the site of the first landing of the Mayflower, and Plymouth is the site of the Pilgrims' first settlement. If you are interested in early American history, want to learn more about our country's beginnings, or simply want to see the area, this is the place for you. We are conveniently located for walks at the beach, fishing, golfing, fine dining, or enjoying our beautiful sunsets. And if you decide to stay at home, our yard is peaceful and soothing.

Our home, the Elisha Howland Saltbox, provides your opportunity to experience the unmatched essence of a true 'Olde Cape Cod' home. We offer a restored 1824 Saltbox with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a separate rental opportunity on the property for two more guests in the detached cottage, though this is only available to guests in the main house, for an additional fee which is listed below. Our home is available for a minimum of two days to several months from October 1st to June 15th, and we welcome guests 52 weeks/year. During the summer season, we rent by the week. Please note that we do NOT supply bed linens and towels from June 15 to September 15, though we are happy to help you arrange them through a rental service. Please contact us regarding linens if you cannot bring them.

Our 1824 home is located in one of the most historic areas of Brewster. Small on size but big on charm, you will see many of the original features, such as the 'ladder' stairs, the old floorboards, the wavy glass windows carefully preserved, and a working replica of the original fireplace. Lovingly brought back to life, this restored antique home truly is a home away from home, complemented with all the modern comforts - fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, basement washer and dryer, cable TV, DVD player, and wifi. We are open year round and welcome you for a visit, whether it's for a weekend, a week, a month or more. We welcome weekend guests during the winter, spring, and fall, and occasionally can accommodate stays of less than one week during the summer.

Located in a quiet residential area of the Sea Captain's town of Brewster, our home has a spacious yard featuring two flower gardens and a shade garden with a stone patio and sitting area. Adjacent to the patio is a water feature with a gurgling stream, making a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a cup of morning coffee or perhaps a glass of wine at the end of the day.

The detached cottage is a separate rental, which may be rented for additional charge by the week or for a shorter period, with a two night minimum stay. We are delighted to offer this space to our guests who rent the main house, to be used by families who would like to bring a grandparent or two, or by couples who enjoy vacationing together, but also want to respect each other's space. The cottage offers a queen bed, small sitting area with microwave, dorm-style refrigerator, TV, and a full bathroom with shower. There is a screened porch with a patio table for two. The cottage rate is $125/night for a minimum stay of 2 nights, or $750/week during the summer season. Please contact us for off-season per week rates. Daily rates remain the same. - "Absolutely loved this place. It’s not for everyone as this home is very old and doesn’t provide all of the modern everyday conveniences. There is internet and it has everything you need but like all older homes it has some quirks. The upstairs bath has a very small tub and doesn’t have a hand held shower head but is perfect for children. The downstairs bath has a small shower. The stairs to the upper level are very steep so if you’re elderly this may not work for you. The home has a rich history and it was interesting to read up on it and then try to figure how things were originally. The owners did a great job keeping the authenticity during renovation. The gardens all around the house were absolutely gorgeous. Roses and Peony’s were in bloom while we were there but I’m sure something is blooming all season as there were many different types of plants. Hydrangeas among them. I knew about this home as I had lived in Brewster while raising my children and we built a 3/4 Cape using a lot of the authentic designs as well. It was a joy to stay here and walk back through the memories of time."

The cottage is conveniently located close to 6A, but not near the traffic of 6A and rests in a quiet U-shaped lane. It is .4 miles from Paine's Creek Beach (walk or drop off) and a short 1.5 mile drive to Mant's Landing (AKA Robin’s Hill- permit parking and drop off). A short walk away you can find Dunkin Donuts, Luke Liquors, Kate's Seafood and Ice Cream, Lemon Tree Village Shops and Cape Cod's Museum of Natural of Natural History is about .5 miles away as well, but it is located on 6A so driving is recommended.

Beaches:
Brewster is known for the sunsets, seascape, hiking, kayaking, and stripe bass fishing! “Brewster is one of those gems that seems to have been built for the pail-and-shovel crowd, who lounge in the tidal pools or scramble to find fiddler and horseshoe crabs. Plan to be there at high tide, or you may have to walk a mile to get from the beach to the water’s edge.”

Sweet one bedroom cottage in the heart of Brewster. Nicely renovated with fully equipped kitchen, gas range, full sized refrigerator. Come and enjoy our completely renovated and spotless town home and all that Ocean Edge has to offer - pools & hot tubs, tennis, bike trails, close to beach. You will appreciate the short walk to the Fletcher indoor/outdoor pool/spas, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. You will find few homes that are completely renovated - many have had kitchen cabinets painted, some new counters - check the pictures closely. My two-story town home has been completely renovated (newer kitchen, carpet, doors, moldings - crown molding, wainscoting, paint, furniture, a/c system, windows, sliders, water heater, TVs, you name it and it has been updated!). Our most recent improvement was just completed (June 2025) - new paint in the family room and dining area, and the carpet was removed, and luxury vinyl plank has been installed. First floor has fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, half bath and slider to the private patio with umbrella table and large 3 burner grill. The kitchen is completely renovated with newer tile, granite counters, appliances and cabinets. The conventional stairway (meaning, this is a regular set of stairs, NOT spiral as in other units) leads to the second floor with washer and dryer, 2 bedrooms (1 queen in master and 1 twin and bunk beds in second bedroom) and full bath - with granite counter. Both bedrooms are equipped with split system a/c units that allow for each rooms temperature to be individually controlled/adjusted, each bedroom also has a ceiling fan. The main floor also has individual a/c temp controls as well. Our home is also equipped with 3 flat screen TVs - one in the family room and one in each bedroom. Please note, we no longer have a land line or cable TV. We've moved to streaming TV. We have Direct TV Streaming 105+ channels (in all rooms), including local channels and NESN and lots of streaming content available. We have a selection of boardgames in the living area.

Please note, my unit is managed by ME not a management company or broker. This makes a HUGE difference. I take great pride in my home, and it shows. I perform all maintenance on my own - cleaning, repairs, upgrades, etc. I could take the easy route and hire a cleaning staff but it's very important to me to know that the house is absolutely perfect when you arrive.

**Please note: Our capacity is 5 occupants - this is strictly enforced. We monitor the exterior of the property via cameras faced away from the property to determine if overcrowding is occurring. We are a condo complex and there are strict rules specific to overcrowding due to our septic system capacity and parking. If you overcrowd the unit you will lose your security deposit and rental fee and be evicted immediately. The condo is being rented to you and the people within the lease, not you and as many guests as you'd like to host on a daily basis.

Also note I only book by the week starting on Saturday. I do not book single nights and weekends.

**Please note, Ocean Edge has a strict policy regarding renters and visitors bringing pets/animals onto the property. Per condo regulations, no renter or visitor is allowed to bring pets/animals on to the property or in my home. I have a very strict 'NO PET' policy. This condo is a 2 bedroom, 2 full bath unit with a loft and open concept living/dining room including a walk out private patio. Both bathrooms and the kitchen have been recently updated including new appliances.

The inviting and bright living room has a comfy couch and smart 42 inch flat-screen Roku TV with capability to log into your favorite streaming services. Basic cable and Bluray/DVD player provided.

The full kitchen includes all necessary appliances and utensils, microwave, Keurig Duo (bring your own K-cups), toaster and dishwasher. The unit also has a washer and dryer. The charming dining room sits 6 adults comfortably.

- "We have stayed in other units at Ocean Edge before, and it is a nice complex in a good location in Brewster. The condo is nicely furnished and accommodated our family of five very well. Our 12 yr old grandson slept on the pullout bed in the loft and found it comfortable. We all enjoyed the patio off the living room and the privacy it offered. The rooms are a nice size, and with 2 levels. we never felt crowded. There are 14 stairs leading up to the condo though it is not a steep climb. There are landings after each group of 4 stairs. Still, it would be a consideration if ambulation is an issue. We had an unusual issue with the alarm system one evening - it kept going off after we had returned from dinner. Hans reacted very quickly to this incident and had a neighbor stop by within minutes to see if everything was OK. We appreciated this fast response, and we soon had everything under control."

- "Reason for staying here: My kids were part of a large camping group who were spending the week at Nickerson State Campground. I needed to work remotely. Location: 1.9 miles from Nickerson. So convenient! You could technically use the bike path across the street to ride into the campground. Adorable beaches the kids loved about 2 miles away. Great, safe neighborhood. I returned there at night, often by myself, and the location of the parking spot to the house was very close. Overall: For work as well as vacations, I stay in rented houses so I'm picky, but this house was adorable. It's small, but if you look at the square footage you'll go in prepared for that. It's clean. It was stocked with nearly everything. Newly redone. Lots of towels. I was grateful for the little extras in cabinets that let me make coffee before I had time to hit the Shaws down the street. The best: location, cleanliness, safety, newly redone feel. People the place might not work for: The house is small and part of a little "village" of tiny houses like it. If you're looking for a place where you can sit outside, have some drinks, and be loud this isn't the spot. If you have kids you want running around a grassy yard, this is also not the spot. There isn't a ton of privacy. But if you're looking for a safe place to lay your heads for (IMHO) a really good price for the area this place was adorable. Would I stay here again? Absolutely."

A peaceful, well-maintained 2-bedroom home at the end of a lane with no through traffic. Surrounded by trees and gardens. A birder’s delight. You may even see a deer amble by. Feels far away from the hustle and bustle, but is convenient to both Rt. 6A and Rt. 124. The beach and spectacular sunsets on Paine’s Creek are less than 3 miles away. The Cape Cod bike trail and swimming at Seymour Pond or Long Pond are a mile away. The property has an extensive garden, an outdoor shower, and Weber charcoal grill. Enjoy the stars as you toast marshmallows at the firepit. The large eat-in country kitchen is well equipped with plenty of room for cooks. Location:
Lovely beach cottage sits upon the bluff with one of the best views of Cape Cod. The private beach is just down the stairs . It is large beautiful, clean, safe and quiet for only 3 cottages and the main house. 100's of feet of beach just for you. You can walk along the beach in either directions for miles, and at low tide you can walk straight out on the ocean floor and pick up shells. Low tide is the perfect place for young children.
Brewster is a beautiful safe town with great restaurants, golf courses, and even a quaint general store.

The cottage:
The cottage has a large master bedroom with a queen size bed with A/C. There is also a smaller bedroom with a Queen bed. Each bedroom has it's own heat and A/C controls. The large living room looks over cape cod bay. There is a full kitchen with granite counters, a dishwasher, microwave, oven, Keurig, Mr. Coffee, french door full sized refrigerator. The dining area has with water views. . There is a small bathroom with shower and an also outdoor shower with hot water.
There is a dining table and chairs outside and lounge chairs for watching the tide roll in.
