The deck has expansive views of the bayside and harbor, with gorgeous scenes of clouds, water, and sand. Easy for kayaking and beach enjoying, Walking out 1/4 mile at low tide is really fun, our dog loved it! Given the tides and limitations of travel, you can’t pass off the island for a period around high tide, but it is great to really live by the tides on your vacation! Drew was great to work with. The kitchen is very usable. We cooked up terrific local fish on the grill easily. The family room is comfortable as well. The Wi-fi is fine, but a little limited on the island. Beautiful places to explore, very relaxed environment, and all the rest that Wellfleet has to offer also. Very memorable experience!"

The renovated parts of the house are especially comfortable and get great light, and the deck is a terrific place for grilling, morning coffee, or an evening drink. • Rental Agreement: to ensure a safe and comfortable stay, the owners of this property require that all guests sign a Rental Agreement that clearly sets forth the terms and conditions of your stay. Depending on the activities you plan, we recommend packing hiking, running, swimming, horseback riding, and/or running gear. We also recommend that guests consider spraying clothes with Permethrin when walking outside, to help avoid ticks. “The North Star” cottage is situated in the scenic town of Wellfleet, known for its spectacular beaches, pristine spring-fed ponds, prized oysters and eclectic art galleries. Wellfleet, located on outer Cape Cod, is 15 miles south of Provincetown and 10 miles north of Orleans. The cottage is less than a 10 min drive to the National Seashore. It is one of an adorable, quiet, vintage 7-cottage association situated on a grassy knoll in Indian Neck; famed for Indian Neck Beaches with their peaceful, secluded vibe. Next door to the Pilgrim Spring Conservation Area, which includes 60 acres of serene hiking trails, it is also less than a 5 min drive to town and the much-loved Wellfleet Drive-In Movie Theater. Most wonderfully, our cottage is less than a mile to beautiful bay side Indian Neck Beaches!

“The North Star” is freshly painted and has new hardwood floors & cathedral ceilings with beautiful pine beams in every room. It has a newly cedar shingled exterior, and it has a mini split with heat/ac. Ideal for a couple or family of 3-4, it is small (520 sq ft) but well-equipped, with an open living/dining/kitchen area, 2 bedrooms & 3 season porch w/daybed. A private deck with an outdoor sectional & dining table for 4, Weber grill, & private enclosed outdoor shower, overlook on a grassy sloping lawn, dotted with lovely trees and a cozy hammock.

The cottage has no tv, but has a projector/large movie screen & WiFi. There are dressers and areas to hang clothes, but there are no closets, and the indoor bathroom has a small shower and no tub. That said, it’s a perfect launching pad to discover amazing outer Cape Cod!

- "The Cottage at Duck Creek was formerly the home of a celebrated artist and world traveler, and you can see that it was well-loved. Books of every description line the rooms, artwork covers the walls, Oriental rugs cover the floors, collections from her travels are everywhere. Much of the furniture is antique, but the bathroom is fresh and new and so are the beds. And the setting -- in an expansive garden on a peaceful inlet that amazingly, is right in the charming heart of Wellfleet. It feels away from everything, but restaurants, galleries and beaches are nearby. One caveat: while I'd recommend it highly to adults who love art, reading, nature and relaxing, I think that the personal collectibles and the steep stairs make it less appropriate for families with active young children."

Not only can you walk to the legendary Wellfleet Cinemas and the Cape Cod Rail Trail, you'll also be an easy drive or bike ride from Sunken Meadow Beach (less than two miles), Marconi Beach (four miles), Wellfleet town center (six miles), and several serene ponds.

Built in 1836, this home was moved to its present location on a private, sandy road sometime in the years since. Today, it's a matter of blocks from the 937-acre Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and its five miles of walking trails. It's a great location and setup for beach-goers, with beach chairs, an umbrella, and life jackets provided for your days on the shore and an outdoor shower (with hot water!) waiting to welcome you home.

This light-filled home has been renovated from top to bottom, offering such modern comforts as central AC and heat (including in the sunroom). Yet it also maintains much of its character through beamed ceilings, charming built-ins, and wide-plank wood floors. Begin each morning with an invigorating workout in the basement (offering a standing bike and rowing machine, along with a keyboard for the family musician), then head upstairs for coffee on the patio with a view of the surrounding woodlands.

In the afternoons, get the gas grill going for a barbecue, prepare your favorite side dishes in the bright, well-equipped kitchen, and gather around the dining room table for dinner. The open living space is a delight in the evenings, whether you're playing board games or streaming movies on the Amazon Fire TV Stick. The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

- "If you are looking for a cute house in a quiet location down a dirt road and in the woods (away from Rt 6 traffic), for a max of 6 guests - this could be it! The only noise we heard came from the flock of turkeys that checked up on us daily. The house has the most important amenities for a family beach vacay: outdoor shower, ac, washer/drier and dishwasher. Even beach towels were included. The kitchen was pretty well stocked for a first time rental, with the few things that were missing hopefully to be added (basic spices, blender, a tv that works and perhaps a vacuum cleaner). We had a great time and would happily rent this house again."

Enter a light & bright main living area with living room, dining area and kitchen. The living room has a sofa and chair, flat screen TV with cable, small desk and ceiling fan. The vaulted ceiling creates and an open space.

The nicely equipped kitchen has a refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, microwave and drip coffeemaker. Just beside the kitchen is a dining table with seating for four.

Just down the hall from the main living area is the bathroom with shower and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and small flat screen TV with cable and the other has two twin beds. Both bedrooms also have vaulted ceilings.

Air conditioning: The cottage has three ductless split unit air conditioners--one in the main living area and one in each bedroom.

- "Beautiful, quiet, nicely decorated, well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the cottage. Owner needs to figure out trash situation...there are no barrels and no directions for when pickup is and where to put the trash. Otherwise, a really nice spot with 13 wild turkeys passing through."

Private bucolic setting on the ocean side of Wellfleet. Walk to the beautiful Duck Pond. Woodsy, secluded, lovely home. Enter through the front door to the living room with cathedral ceilings, open to the dining room and kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Art flanks the walls in this cozy, homey bungalow. Off the dining room is the lovely screened in porch and deck for outside grilling and enjoying the private, wooded back yard. On this floor there is a full bath with tub/shower. First floor bedroom has a queen bed with a mini split and ceiling fan. The living room/kitchen/dining area is also cooled by the mini split. The house has a lovely flow on this floor for comfortable relaxing time with family and friends.

The side stairway up to the second floor ends in a loft-style bedroom that is open to living area below. (no doors). Here there are two twin beds, perfect for camping out. A ceiling fan moves the air. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and another minisplit, keeping it cool. There's a second full bath on this level. This is a sweet house that is relatively new to the rental market, but reviews have been great for this home. The proximity to Duck Pond (and other ponds) the lovely quiet neighborhood, the care the owner has taken to make it comfortable, make this the perfect Wellfleet getaway. Shorter off-season stays are available.

In the unfinished basement there is a washer/dryer. Also, bikes, beach chairs, and a clam rake with a basket!

Since we were only two people we used the upstairs -- which sleeps four -- as a writing studio. Beautiful crystal-clear ponds only a few minutes away. Ocean Crest beach, which offers magnificent sunrises over the dunes, is only a 10 minute drive away. The perfect morning is to watch the sun come up at Ocean Crest and then drive to the nearby Parisian bakery, PJ Boulangerie, for fresh croissants. Pearl's offers free live music from 3:00 on with lovely views of the Wellfleet Town Pier. We visited during an unusual hot spell (in the high 80's) and the house AC worked very well. If you love nature but also want simple creature comforts, this is the house for you."
