- "Well positioned, rooms not as big as we thought but adequate. Exceptional view of passing river traffic which the childten loved. The boat delighted the youngsters and was very useful for shopping (easy parking!).Fencing around the deck would benefit from some attention for childrens' safety. The owner was available by phone but the only contact was to advise him of a wasp nest in the eves. He recommended Karen as a caterer which we fully endorse. Our holiday was most enjoyable in this characterful cottage."

Bure Cottage is located in the exclusive Peninsular Marina by the banks of the River Bure at Wroxham, known as the gateway to the Broads. The cosy and comfortable self-catering cottage is south facing with views from the lounge onto the Marina, River Bure and beyond.
The double glazed cottage is suitable for breaks at all times of the year. It sleeps four with beds made up on the morning of arrival. The price includes electricity, heating, hot water, wi-fi and bed linen, towels and everything you would expect from a well-established self-catering cottage.
Weekly rental is Saturday-to-Saturday. Off-season short breaks of three nights or more are also available.
Enjoy the tranquil lawned waterside frontage from the outside seating area where you can watch swans, geese and ducks going about their daily lives. Herons can also be seen. In the evening, unwind with a bottle of wine while gazing at the wildlife and boating activity on the water.
Fishing is available anywhere on-site during the season. Watch boats chug by, hire your own - or take a river cruise on one of the many trips among Britain's largest protected wetlands. Magical waterways and broads dotted with quaint unspoilt villages, windmills and old riverside pubs to explore. It is a paradise for nature lovers.
The famous 400-year-old Wroxham Bridge and village centre is just a 5 minute stroll away with pubs, restaurants, fish & chips, cafes, a launderette, the famous Roy's superstores, McDonald's and two railway stations. One is on the mainline to Norwich and Yarmouth, and the other is the narrow-gauge Bure Valley steam railway to Aylsham.

Top attractions include BeWILDerwood, Blickling Estate, Felbrigg Hall, seal spotting at Blakeney Point, Norwich Castle and Cathedral and many other historical sites.
The minor cosmetic improvements necessitated by the normal wear and tear of a very popular holiday property do not detract from the enjoyable experience of holidaying in this lovely part of the country , with the river on your doorstep and the convenience of being close to Wroxham with all its amenities.
NOTE: Bookings paid through VRBO can only be accepted more than 48-hours before arrival.
- "The property is ideally located for fishing access although the owners boat could have been better located away from the property." - "We received a warm welcome at Bure Cottage with the host leaving an extensive welcome pack including a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge! The setting was perfect with marina views from every window. A short walk to the local shops, restaurants, pubs and day boat hire just round the corner I’d recommend a stay!"

- "Had an excellent few days here - it is a lovely cottage, very comfortable, well equipped, and great location. We were very impressed that Emily was on call and satisfied our needs immediately. The only problem we found were that the mattresses on the king size beds were not very comfortable, and could do with replacing. We would love to return as this was a very relaxing few days and we enjoyed watching the wild life." - "The location and house was stunning but sadly many things needed repairing like the glass gate which was held closed by a piece of wood, bulbs not working and cracks on the wall. Details that could easily be remedied but were irritating and I expected a much better standard for the price. I'd go back next year if those things were done but according to previous reviews they have been like that for over 2 years. Such a shame."

- "Excellent place to stay, we have been coming to Wroxham for the last 4yrs for our breaks from work & this is the best accommodation so far. The 'Wherry' was 'home from home' & Wendy had supplied all the basics (which was excellent as we forgot to pick up a pint of milk en route) plus a lot more in the way of books & games if you are stuck in for the day. The fish were not so obliging but that was due to the weather. If there has been a prolonged spell of rain the road to the chalet gets flooded so wellingtons are a necessity if you want to walk anywhere. We have booked to return in November 2020 for another wk-end."

- "A little piece of heaven. This place has all you need for an excellent holiday. There are great facilities in the house; ample outside garden which is all fenced in; a great boat for days out. The place is very clean, modern and spacious. It has a large contained patio area for sitting out in the sun bringing the outside in.The boat was perfect for a novice... just the icing on the cake. - "Perfectly equipped, spacious, quiet and ideally suited for a family holiday." - "A lovely house in a fabulous location that is great for all ages. Would and probably will stay at "The Anchorage "again some day." - "A wonderful place to stay Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo" - "This property is in a lovely setting and has lots of amenities within the grounds- table tennis, boules and croquet. Where it falls down is on the lack of information. Firstly, the key safe was not where described. In the house there was no folder telling you how to arrange for the boat to be unlocked and who to contact for instructions on its use. There was a laminated sheet giving details of emergency numbers e. g. doctor and pharmacy but nothing on the local area so no information on restaurants, pubs, walks etc. Also there was no information on how to operate appliances e.g. heating, tv etc. There was no controller for the dvd. It should also be noted the website should clarify that the motor launch cannot be taken to Wroxham for shipping. It was not possible to recycle rubbish such as bottles and recyclable plastics but no details of where to take these items. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"

- "Can't fault anything except lack of working vacuum cleaner and no mop. Fab location. Had all the cooking equipment to make Christmas dinner for 5. Very well stocked with glasses, crockery and cutlery plus pots and pans. Lovely place" - "A spacious property in a good position for the Broads and Wroxham shops etc. The garden suffers from geese and is contaminated with their droppings so is not very user friendly." - "Nice surroundings however property requires some works. All the mattresses there really old and needs changing. We actually left after 2 days instead of staying the whole stay as we could not sleep well. No frying pan, just one toilet roll for 3 night stay, no dishwasher tablets. Would not recommend."
