- "Well positioned, rooms not as big as we thought but adequate. Exceptional view of passing river traffic which the childten loved. The boat delighted the youngsters and was very useful for shopping (easy parking!).Fencing around the deck would benefit from some attention for childrens' safety. The owner was available by phone but the only contact was to advise him of a wasp nest in the eves. He recommended Karen as a caterer which we fully endorse. Our holiday was most enjoyable in this characterful cottage."

Guest Reviews:

- "Had an excellent few days here - it is a lovely cottage, very comfortable, well equipped, and great location. We were very impressed that Emily was on call and satisfied our needs immediately. The only problem we found were that the mattresses on the king size beds were not very comfortable, and could do with replacing. We would love to return as this was a very relaxing few days and we enjoyed watching the wild life." - "The location and house was stunning but sadly many things needed repairing like the glass gate which was held closed by a piece of wood, bulbs not working and cracks on the wall. Details that could easily be remedied but were irritating and I expected a much better standard for the price. I'd go back next year if those things were done but according to previous reviews they have been like that for over 2 years. Such a shame."

Guest Reviews:

- "Excellent place to stay, we have been coming to Wroxham for the last 4yrs for our breaks from work & this is the best accommodation so far. The 'Wherry' was 'home from home' & Wendy had supplied all the basics (which was excellent as we forgot to pick up a pint of milk en route) plus a lot more in the way of books & games if you are stuck in for the day. The fish were not so obliging but that was due to the weather. If there has been a prolonged spell of rain the road to the chalet gets flooded so wellingtons are a necessity if you want to walk anywhere. We have booked to return in November 2020 for another wk-end."

- "Perfectly equipped, spacious, quiet and ideally suited for a family holiday." - "A lovely house in a fabulous location that is great for all ages. Would and probably will stay at "The Anchorage "again some day." - "A wonderful place to stay Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo" - "This property is in a lovely setting and has lots of amenities within the grounds- table tennis, boules and croquet. Where it falls down is on the lack of information. Firstly, the key safe was not where described. In the house there was no folder telling you how to arrange for the boat to be unlocked and who to contact for instructions on its use. There was a laminated sheet giving details of emergency numbers e. g. doctor and pharmacy but nothing on the local area so no information on restaurants, pubs, walks etc. Also there was no information on how to operate appliances e.g. heating, tv etc. There was no controller for the dvd. It should also be noted the website should clarify that the motor launch cannot be taken to Wroxham for shipping. It was not possible to recycle rubbish such as bottles and recyclable plastics but no details of where to take these items. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"

- "If you want a really peaceful location in a beautiful cottage that’s furnished to a high standard the Leisure Hour can’t be beaten. It’s tastefully decorated and provides you with everything you need, including a well equipped kitchen. We had a really great holiday and the Information about the cottage is spot on. We were very surprised to read some of the comments in the visitors book about the lack of WiFi and Sky TV! Leisure Hour is not the holiday home for those who can’t manage without WiFi, Sky TV and social media. This is all made very clear before booking. We have stayed twice and will be hoping to stay again. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"

Guest Reviews:

- "We will definitely be back to stay in this house. It’s really modern and well done. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is fantastic. Right in the thick of things on the marina with views up the broads. It was great to watch the boats go by in the early evening from the balcony. Wroxham in mid summer holidays is really busy and parking is a premium. This property has plenty of parking but is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Check in was really easy and Covid friendly. Barnes Brinkcraft have other properties which look equally as nice."

One of the best ways to enjoy the Broads is on the water by motor launch, or take one of the organised day trips arranged by the neighbouring boatyard. On the water, the beauty of the Broads can be truly experienced with its extensive wildlife (ducks, geese, swans, spoonbills and herons) and its sleepy Broads villages with their pretty flint cottages and attractive churches. The coast is within easy reach (12 miles) with lovely sandy beaches and a string of villages spreading northwards to the bustling sea towns of Cromer and Sheringham. Alternatively, Norwich is less than 10 miles away with its cathedral, castle and museums, theatres, excellent shops and restaurants.

National Trust properties well worth a visit are Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, both within easy reach. Nearest shops are 500 yards. Moorings for motor launches are near the property and life jackets are available free of charge. Pet life jackets available on arrival for a refundable £10 deposit.

Free WiFi

The boats supplied with the River View Houses, Berwick Swan, Crested Grebe and Greylag Goose will be moored at our dayboat site ready for collection by customers. We will require a refundable £50 deposit, which will be returned to them when they bring the dayboat back to the dayboat site on the last day of their holidays. The dayboat will not be supplied during the Whitsun (end of May) and main Summer School Holidays but you can book one from us at these times at a 10% discount. At Christmas and New Year, the availability of the dayboat is subject to weather conditions. A mooring for the boat is provided near the property.
