As the inside temperature never dropped below 24 degrees (19th to 24th June), we tried to leave bedroom windows open at night, but only did so for an hour on the first night, as there is so much traffic for most of the night, roaring up and down, so not had a lot of sleep. Took coffee bags with us as no coffee maker, as per previous reviews. Power shower was pretty weak but sufficed. Very small floor-level fridge/freezer is difficult to load/unload. Only two of us but four large adults will struggle as everything is scaled down to fit the small living room and kitchen. Bedrooms are ok but single beds are too narrow for an adult. The Greek restaurant mentioned in the visitor book is permanently closed."

As you enter the front door, the newly-fitted spacious kitchen leads through to the open plan dining room. The steps to the bedrooms are thin and steep, but we were aware of this from reading other reviews. The cottage was easy to find and we used the parking in the side street and one night had to use the local pay and display parking near the beach. The White Horse pub has re-opened, which now has live music at the weekend and has two options for food (1 - indoor, where bookings have to been made, 2 - lighter menu for sitting at the outdoor tables). If you are sitting outside you can hear the music from the pub. We have really enjoyed our stay at Cromer Cottage in East Runton."

You will find Sunset peacefully tucked away at the end of a private unmade road, just off the road to the beach; it's detached, rather striking and sits just behind the coastal path that runs along the cliffs above the sea. It also backs onto The Royal Cromer Golf Course, so makes a popular choice for keen golfers. The Bure Valley Railway miniature gauge railway takes a ride through open countryside with on/off stops to popular riverside villages and the market town of Aylsham. The City of Norwich has a splendid castle, market, excellent shopping, eateries, theatres, and museums. Those with cars can travel east or west from here and find a string of impressive beach habitats including wide sandy shores, salt and clay marshes, rolling dunes, and picturesque quays. The whole area is packed with history too so do make time to visit the Blickling, Holkham, Houghton, and Sandringham Estates along with North Norfolk Railway, Norwich Castle, and the Thursford Collection with its Christmas Spectacular. Nature lovers will enjoy visits to Sheringham Park, RSPB Cley Marshes, and Pensthorpe Nature Resort, along with the Norfolk Broads, which can be reached in around half an hour. - "Stradbroke House will not disappoint! There is everything you could ever ask for and more! It was extremely clean, not ‘tired’ in the slightest. It was modern, warm and comfy, beautifully decorated, everything in full working order and to top it off, the most wonderful welcome goodies! The location of the house itself was perfect, just a couple of minutes to the high street, beach, pier, pubs and restaurants. The only thing I would mention is that there is no ‘dedicated’ parking outside of the property but there are plenty of spaces on the road or surrounding roads. Look at the stars from skylight on the top floor …. Amazing! We will definitely be back!"
