- "Dolphin cottage is a spacious, well maintained, and comfortable bungalow with everything you would need. Burnham Market is a pretty village and a good base to explore Norfolk. Unfortunately, for us, our Labrador, Pluto became ill after a lovely walk at Holkham on the Wednesday of our stay and had to spend the next two nights in the vets at Fakenham, just over 10 miles away. Obviously this ruined our holiday and we weren't too happy at paying over £1,800.00 and taking our boy home little better than when he went to the vets two days before. Luckily, after a visit to our own vet in Warwick, he was soon on the mend. So, although our visit to Dolphin was marred, I absolutely loved the cottage. We are booked to return in August, if we can get Pluto to return!"

Entrance
From the outside, Over Norton may look like an ordinary bungalow, but as soon as you step inside you are welcomed into an ultra-modern tardis! The entrance hall is long, wide and spacious with stunning oak flooring and beautiful furnishings and navigates to every part of the house.

To start with, hang your coats and store away your shoes to feel right at home. Immediately leading off the hallway is the bunk room followed by the super king bedroom. At the end of the hall, head through the double doors into the dining/living area, which also joins to the kitchen. There is also a ground floor shower room and a separate utility room before leading up the stairs to the first floor.

Dining/Living Area
The modern open plan dining/living area overlooks the pretty rear garden and comprises and extendable dining table, allowing the option to seat 6 or 8 guests, and a cosy lounge area.

The lounge features a large corner sofa with two additional chairs – comfortably seating the whole party, a large Smart TV with Sonos sound bar and a cosy wood burning stove for snuggling around in the winter. There is also a small adjoining garden room, the perfect place for some peace and quiet! Bedroom 3 – This elegant King size bedroom is located on the first floor and provides two built in wardrobes, a chest of drawers and a Smart TV. The most notable feature of this room is the amazing views over 2 aspects; one overlooking the garden to the side of the house and the other overlooking the rear garden and surrounding countryside with views across to Burnham Overy Town, Burnham Norton and to the sea in the distance.

Bedroom 4 – Set on the first floor, this bedroom features a double bed, hanging space and drawer storage, a Smart TV and an adjacent relaxed seating area with a 2-seater sofa. This room also benefits from the stunning views over the rear garden and surrounding countryside, looking across to Burnham Overy Town, Burnham Norton and to the sea in the distance.

On the ground floor there is a separate shower room decorated with stunning dark grey stone tiles and featuring a walk-in shower, WC, sink and a unique heated towel pole.

Outside
To the rear of the property there is an established garden that is fully enclosed and backs on to the surrounding fields, affording beautiful countryside views across to the old Watermill at Burnham Overy Town, the round towered church at Burnham Norton and beyond to the Sea in the distance. The perimeter is lined with hedging and established trees which keep the garden private. There is a central lawn area which is surrounded by planted borders packed with an array of pretty shrubs, flowers and grasses. This garden is a real haven for birds and wildlife and if you look around you will find some hidden nesting boxes so you can watch the Blue Tits come and go to feed their young. To the front of the property there is off road parking for 4 cars on the gravel drive.

The location in the centre of Burnham Market is great and in October we never struggle to find somewhere close by to park. If I were to pick up on any negative points it would be the lack of attention to detail when it comes to the provision of the usual necessities in the property. It was great to be provided with a pint of milk and we appreciated the cupcakes, but one of the bathrooms didn't have hand soap and only had one virtually finished roll of toilet paper. Also no kindling for the wood fire. Other than that it was perfect and we will return to Palgrave Barn again."

Mahonia Cottage is a wonderfully spacious link-detached cottage situated in a quiet area away from the main village green yet close enough to walk to fabulous local shops, pubs and eateries. It is child and dog friendly, and has the added advantage of parking in this busy village.

The cottage itself is very light and bright, and has been newly decorated throughout. There is plenty of reception space with a large south-facing conservatory, a wonderful open-plan dining kitchen, a cosy sitting room with comfy sofas and a wood-burning stove; also underfloor heating to the ground floor (excluding the conservatory). Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (the master is en-suite) and a delightful twin bedroom with full-size single beds and a unusual arched window. The cottage is practical, stylish and tastefully furnished throughout with lots of extra little details to give guests a comfortable and enjoyable visit whatever time of year.

The garden is south facing and fully enclosed, safe for dogs and children. A gate leads into the parking area at the back of the cottage, where there are two parking spaces for the cottage, a real bonus in this busy village. In fact the location is just perfect - tucked down a quiet lane off the main road, yet just a short walk from the park, play area, tennis courts and all the amenities the village has to offer.

- "We really enjoyed the our stay at Mahonia cottage. The cottage offers good clean accomodation which feels cosy and comfortable but spacious enough too. Layout is very good and flows well. Kitchen is a tad dated but fully functional.Bedrooms fresh and comfy. Highlight was the south facing conservatory which was a joy to be in. Parking is off road and convenient with two good sized spaces at the back. It is worth noting the cottage is located across the road from a Gulf petrol station but this is easy to forget when inside the attractive cottage, particularly the lovely conservatory. Only downside was the welcome pack which was limited to just 4 dishwasher tabs and no milk!"

- "The accommodation was first class every amenity was catered for lots of space for 5 adults. very close to the centre with great selection of restaurants, pubs and local shops will definitely stay again." - "We arrived to a spotlessly clean lodge, the holiday park isn't yet completely full and it was quiet and peaceful with this particular lodge having a wonderful view over a field, with owls hooting at night and orangey sunsets every evening (we were very lucky!). The lodge has everything you could desire, plenty of cooking equipment, all mod cons... boiling water tap for tea/coffee, full size fridge/freezer, wine fridge, range cooker.... the bedrooms are spacious and decorated very tastefully with TVs in every room (kids were beside themselves!)... the bathrooms both have underfloor heating... a gorgeous deep stand alone bath... now I have lots of ideas how I might redecorate my bathroom at home!! :-) Burnham Market is a beautiful village with lots of really good shops, bakery, deli, sweet shop!! Gorgeous cottages and a lovely church, great footpaths for a country walk, but you're also a short driving distance from Wells, Brancaster and the nearby Nature Reserves... wonderful. - "We had an amazing four days there exploring Norfolk Coast. Our only tiny complaint was that we had a group of ants move in!! However NG assured us they would take care of it once we’d left!!" - "Several items of crockery were put away dirty and many surfaces (couch mantles etc) had not been cleaned properly. Space in the cottage is at a premium and, although we understand the owners also use the property as a holiday home, we found the cottage to be very cluttered leaving little space to properly put away our belongings.
