- "Nice and clean, well decorated but small. Very noisy road, and very hot throughout our stay. As the inside temperature never dropped below 24 degrees (19th to 24th June), we tried to leave bedroom windows open at night, but only did so for an hour on the first night, as there is so much traffic for most of the night, roaring up and down, so not had a lot of sleep. Took coffee bags with us as no coffee maker, as per previous reviews. Power shower was pretty weak but sufficed. Very small floor-level fridge/freezer is difficult to load/unload. Only two of us but four large adults will struggle as everything is scaled down to fit the small living room and kitchen. Bedrooms are ok but single beds are too narrow for an adult. The Greek restaurant mentioned in the visitor book is permanently closed."

Situated on the village common of East Runton, complete with pond & ducks, Green Cottage is a pretty, detached flint cottage, recently renovated. As you enter the front door, the newly-fitted spacious kitchen leads through to the open plan dining room. Old beams, crisp cotton linens and fresh flowers will welcome you to this charming traditional fisherman's cottage. The large lounge has comfy sofas around the fireplace and a sunny window seat, reached from the dining room. Beyond this, is the cosy TV room. The lounge also has a door out to the private garden.
Off the main hall is the third bedroom, snug, light and airy, and also the downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs, the main (kingsize) bedroom, with its old fireplace and exposed beams, looks out over the garden. The White Horse pub has re-opened, which now has live music at the weekend and has two options for food (1 - indoor, where bookings have to been made, 2 - lighter menu for sitting at the outdoor tables). If you are sitting outside you can hear the music from the pub. We have really enjoyed our stay at Cromer Cottage in East Runton."

It was modern, warm and comfy, beautifully decorated, everything in full working order and to top it off, the most wonderful welcome goodies! Sea Thrift House is a beautiful Arts and Crafts three-storey terraced house, overlooking the cricket ground and tucked away in quiet street in Overstrand and a short walk through the grounds of The Pleasance, down to the beach. This impressive family home has been renovated and styled beautifully throughout by the current owners and is the perfect place to escape and enjoy long walks and days on the beach.

The house is arranged over three floors with a sitting room, dining room, breakfast room, kitchen and garden room on the ground floor; Three bedrooms, one bathroom, one shower room and a separate loo on the first floor and two further bedrooms and a shower room on the second floor.

On entering the house from the pedestrian walkway, you are welcomed into the stunning entrance hall with the original black and white tiled flooring and the staircase straight ahead. The sitting room to the right connects to the dining room with internal antique pine doors, which can be closed if you wished. The sitting room has comfortable sofas and armchairs arranged around the ornamental fireplace and a smart television. The dining room is perfect for evening suppers with French doors leading out to the courtyard garden. At the rear of the house beyond the staircase, the breakfast room leads through to the kitchen and onto the garden room out to the pretty courtyard garden. The well equipped kitchen is perfect for rustling up delicious suppers and has a free standing five burner range cooker, a full height fridge, integrated dishwasher, wine fridge and microwave. The garden room beyond the kitchen houses the washing machine and has a sofa and two rattan chairs. It is the ideal room for relaxing with a book or chatting, with plenty of natural light from the large window and a single glazed door going out to the garden.

On the first floor, there is the first of the large bedrooms with a bay window looking out over the front, a king size bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, pretty ornamental fireplace and an antique pine wardrobe. Next door is a shower room with walk in shower and hand wash basin. The second bedroom overlooks the garden and has an ornamental fireplace, a king size bed, bedside tables and free standing wardrobe with drawers at the bottom. On the other side of the stairs, on the first floor, is a separate loo next to the family bathroom with a roll top bath, separate shower enclosure, loo and hand wash basin. The third bedroom beyond the family bathroom has an ornamental fire place with a window to the side, a double bed, bedside tables, a chest of drawers and free standing wardrobe. The third bedroom has a back staircase (originally, the servants staircase) leading down to the Garden Room.

To the front of the house is the largest bedroom with a bay window and far reaching views, a king size bed, bedside tables, armchair and free standing wardrobe. The statement wood burner really pulls the stylish living room together and with floor-to-ceiling glass facing onto the small enclosed courtyard, the whole space is flooded with light. The space
Unwind on the two-piece sofa after a day of exploring Cromer. A smart TV with access to Netflix and Disney+ is available.

A dining table for two by the front window in the living room offers a cosy spot for meals or a drink while enjoying the view.

The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, and washing machine.

Upstairs, the cottage offers a charming bedroom with a king-size four-poster bed, spacious wardrobe, and chest of drawers. Please note the steep, narrow stairs.

My place is close to the beach (one mile), and one mile fron Felbrigg Hall, restaurants and dining, public transport, family-friendly activities, woodland, zoo, pier. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the quietness, the wildlife, the garden, the cleanliness, and of course the fireplace. My place is good for couples, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

The space
The cottage is a self-contained independent building that contains everything you would need for a family holiday or a romantic getaway. The fantastic living area, warmly heated by the wood burner, is perfect for family gatherings, and the bedrooms are cosy and quiet. And the balcony is a stunning setting to hang out on warm summer evenings.

Our property covers roughly one acre of woodland. Guests are welcome to walk around the garden, and visit the chickens which will no doubt be scratching around up in the woods.

Small but perfectly formed, a cosy and comfortable 2 bedroom end-terrace cottage accommodating up to 2 adults in a double room and up to 2 young children in small bunk beds. A one minute walk from the beautiful beach and amenities at East Runton - the perfect space to discover North Norfolk. It is superbly equipped with everything you'll need for your stay. There's an open plan living room, kitchen and dining area downstairs, and a double and a bunk bedroom upstairs alongside a family bathroom.

The space
Waverley Cottage is a small but perfectly formed cottage located in East Runton - in the heart of the North Norfolk coast. Downstairs is open plan with a comfortable living area with sofa, chair and a wood burner for those chilly evenings, making a great space for a get-away at any time of year. The kitchen has all the appliances and equipment you'll need - no matter how short or long your stay. There's also a separate dining area which seats up to four.

Upstairs you'll find a double bedroom with comfortable double bed and lot's of storage space. There's also a small second bedroom with a narrow (75cm width) bunk beds. This room may be used for one or two children (in bunk beds) OR for one baby in a travel cot provided by us. You'll also find a full family bathroom with shower over bath, WC and basin.

The property is perfect for couples or those families with young children and is perfectly located to enjoy East Runton, nearby Cromer (which is just is twenty minute walk along the beach) and all that North Norfolk has to offer.

Other things to note
The single bedroom has a small bunk bed - suited for a young child/children only. It is 75cm width and the lower bunk has low head room. The stairs are a little steep - so probably not suited to those with mobility issues.
Parking is easiest in the nearby (few minutes walk) beach road car park (to be paid for with a weekly ticket available), limited on street parking is also within a couple of minutes walk.

Brackenhurst Cottage is a charming two bedroom cottage, annexed to your hosts main home, yet completely private. With it's own fully enclosed garden and private entrance, the cottage has been carefully thought out and beautifully furnished to create the perfect holiday hideaway for up to four guests and up to two four legged family members. The cottage is within walking distance of the village amenities, including pubs, tea rooms, shops and the beach. There is wonderful walking directly from the garden on the National Trust West Runton Heath and further countryside walks accessible, a short distance from the cottage.

The open plan living space is accessed from the rear of the cottage, through French doors. The modern fitted kitchen has everything you will need to prepare tasty meals, when you are not dining out in the local pubs and restaurants along the coast. There is an integrated oven and electric hob, under counter fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The extending dining table comfortably seats four people and the seating area has two super comfy sofas, to cosy up on, with a book or in front of the large smart TV with sound bar in the evening. In the colder months there is a wonderful wood burner, perfect for warming toes after a long day walking or exploring the beaches nearby.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. Bedroom one, looking out to the rear of the cottage has a super king size bed, with bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a cupboard with hanging space. Bedroom two, looks out over the front garden and has flexible beds that can be made up either as a super king or as twin 3ft single beds, depending on your preference. The family shower room has a large shower enclosure with mains pressure shower, WC and wash hand basin.

Outside

Located at the end of a partially unmade private road, Brackenhust Cottage enjoys a wonderfully peaceful location. With parking for two cars in the main house driveway, the cottage can be approached either via the picket fenced front garden, or via the private pedestrian gate from the road. There is an EV charger accessible for guests on the driveway. There is an additional charge of £35 per booking to use the EV Charger.

The cottage boasts a great sized garden that wraps around three sides of the building. The pretty front garden is laid to lawn, bordered with pretty planting and a garden bench and a path leads around the side to the rear of the cottage, where there is a fenced courtyard garden with dining table & chairs and a BBQ for al fresco dining in with summer months. The whole garden is fully secure for pets, when the pedestrian gates are closed.

Sleeping 3 guests in 2 rooms alongside the family dog, Hillside Cottage is a quaint retreat tucked away along a peaceful village path that leads from the central common near the duck pond. This charming cottage is just a short stroll from East Runton’s recently renovated bar and restaurant, as well as the scenic beach.

Enter the property through the front door straight into the kitchen. The kitchen offers a microwave, toaster, hob and oven, washing machine, fridge/freezer, and plenty of storage space and utensils. There is also a table to seat 3.

Walk through the kitchen to the cosy, recently refurbished lounge which offers French doors out to the rear garden, alongside a Smart TV (please note there is no terrestrial) and comfortable sofa seating. There is an open staircase up to the first floor.

First Floor

At the top of the stairs is the primary bedroom to the right and single room and family bathroom to the left. The primary bedroom boasts ample of space alongside a king size bed with side tables and lamps. There is a TV (with Now TV) alongside a drawer and a clothes rail within the room for storage,

The single bedroom offers a low, single bed, TV (Now TV) and bedside table with lamp.

The family bathroom boasts a shower, heated towel rail, WC and wash basin with shaver socket.

Outside

The front door of the property is approached via a sweet village pathway.

The property enjoys a rear, enclosed garden with patio area for bistro chairs and a table, as well as various ornamental flower beds and a pathway to the rear gate. A wonderful space to enjoy the afternoon sun with a glass of something nice and good book.

The Clockhouse, built in 1904, is a beautifully situated cosy retreat in the lovely village of Overstrand. The village boasts a good pub, a thriving Arts Centre and hundreds of yards of golden sand which is one of the best beaches in East Anglia. The cottage is good for couples, families (with kids), and big groups. The cheap nightly price is because we have not finished rendering the outside of the cottage and we do not have a washing machine yet. Only 500 yards to the beach! Towels & Linen Inc

The space
Now with high speed, fibre optic WiFi available! The Clockhouse is a beautiful conversion of a Carthouse and Stables. As such, it features a working clock and dome on top of the house, uniquely shaped rooms, and a partially walled garden. Due to its unique design, there are some low ceilings in places upstairs which you will need to be careful of.

Charmingly renovated and decorated, this workman's cottage is situated within 15 minutes walk into central Cromer, the ‘Gem of the Norfolk Coast’!

The cottage is ideal for 2 couples or a family of 4, and is great year round; for summer holidays, spring bird watching and cosy winter breaks. Crab Cottage is perfect for anyone wishing to visit Cromer and the North Norfolk Coast or Norfolk Broads.

The space
The house has two good sized double bedrooms. The main bedroom features a king sized bed (which can be split into two single beds by our professional cleaners before your arrival if requested at time of booking) and a small TV. The second bedroom has a comfortable double bed. Both have a chest of drawers, wardrobe/hanging space and bedside tables. We also have a Mamas & Papas travel cot and mattress and travel high chair available for little ones (you will have to set these up yourself - but they are very simple to use) Please bring your own bedding for the cot and disassemble at the end of your stay.

There is also a spacious upstairs bathroom (with toilet, wash basin and bath with handheld shower attachment) and a separate shower room with rainfall shower and wash basin, so great for all your needs!

Downstairs features a brand new kitchen (for 2023!) with integrated appliances including; fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, and a ceramic hob. There is also a microwave.
The Nespresso coffee machine has also been very popular with our guests!

The large sunny kitchen also has room for a table with seating for four, great for breakfast and casual dining!

There is also a downstairs toilet and hand washbasin, which is very convenient!

The kitchen leads to a small porch (perfect for storing beach gear or muddy shoes!) and a sunny patio garden complete with table, chairs and umbrella.
Great for a morning coffee, an evening glass of wine and a barbeque, or just catching some rays.

Also downstairs is the dining room, which has seating for 6 and is great for a formal/informal dinner!

Finally at the front of the house is the cosy living room, with comfortable sofa and chairs - perfect for unwinding after a long day exploring the North Norfolk Coast! The living room features a TV and an electric heater for additional warmth on those chilly evenings.

The cottage is lovingly and stylishly decorated throughout - How many crabs can YOU find in Crab Cottage?! (Don't worry they are only decorative!)


The Local Area

Crab Cottage is conveniently located - we are on the Coast Hopper bus route, so you can handily leave your car parked outside the house, and hop on and off all day between North Walsham and Wells!

There is a useful convenience store/Post Office just over the road, as well as an award-winning fish and chip shop 'The Park Chippy' round the corner alongside a very good Chinese take-away!

Round the corner is also the Station Road park and playground - great for young guests!

Crab Cottage is well situated for golfers, as there are two Championship courses within 5 miles.

The City of Norwich is 20 miles away to the south (there is a bus service from Mill Road) or easily accessible from Cromer or Roughton Road train stations.
