- "We greatly enjoyed our stay in this spacious, well appointed cottage centrally located in Aldeburgh, steps from the pretty high street and beach. The cottage has a big kitchen with up to date appliances and is open plan to a conservatory-style dining room, so the cook (me) was not separated from the rest of the group around meal times. The living room is big, but cozy with a huge comfy sectional and lounger that we used to relax in the evenings. There are glimpses of the sea from the upstairs bedroom and you can hear the waves breaking on the shore. Be aware that there are two big steps to get in the front door that doesn’t have a hand rail that my mother found challenging. Once inside, there are no stairs to negotiate (just one bedroom and bathroom upstairs).Our SUV fitted easily in the off street parking, the street is narrow, so having designated parking was a big plus for the driver (me)!The house was immaculately clean and very nicely decorated with seaside-themed art work. We all really liked the cottage."

Located on the grounds of Alde Bay Farm, this delightful property is set amongst tranquil farmland, with livestock in the surrounding fields. Alde Bay Farm is set in a delightful position at the end of a long drive in a secluded setting with far reaching views over the stunning meadows of the river Alde.

This recently refurbished accommodation is well laid out over two floors and is ideal for the group of 6 guests(5 Adults and 1 Child). The ground floor has three bedrooms as well as a family bathroom. A door open out onto rear patio area equipped with outdoor sitting and BBQ. The first floor offers a light and airy, contemporary open plan lounge, diner and a fully-equipped kitchen – an ideal space for relaxing and socialising.

Aldeburgh is one of the most desirable towns in the east of England with its beach and a range of shopping and recreational facilities. Nearby is the Heritage Coast with destinations such as Thorpeness, Snape Maltings, Southwold and nature reserves at RSPB Minsmere

There is a wide range of sporting facilities in the area with a number of good golf courses within easy reach as well as sailing on the rivers Alde and Deben. The area is also idyllic for both walking and bird watching.

- "This was our third stay in Suffolk this year, we absolutely love Aldeburgh and this was the perfect location…The house was in a lovely location, somewhat hard to find in the dark and fog but once we knew where it was we didn’t miss the turning!House was perfect, we were a family of 5 with dogs and we fitted in perfectly! Beds comfy and the large living area was great and meant we could all be together even if doing separate things! Bath and shower were amazing, some this year haven’t been! The only thing I would have liked that we didn’t have was the outside area to be sectioned off securely, our dogs aren’t great off lead so would have been nice to just let them have a wee outside without having to put them on a lead every time…Overall fabulous stay and would definitely return!"

- "The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and was very spacious for a group of 6 adults staying. The large enclosed garden was great for our dog. Our only criticism is that the television hadn't been configured properly so we couldn't access main BBC channels except via iPlayer. The Garden Studio is a self-contained ground floor area. It is part of our house, with its own garden room opening onto the patio through French doors. Both external doors have locks, and you will have your own keys. There is a comfortable bedroom with queen-size double-bed & en-suite shower-room. The garden room is a light, airy room to relax in.
Breakfast is not included, but there are tea/coffee making facilities as well as a toaster and small fridge, together with crockery and cutlery.

The space
Parking is off-street in front of the house. Access to the Garden Studio is shared with the owners, but you will have your own keys for access.
You have your own cosy double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, as well the light and airy garden room, where you can sit and relax, or use it as a private work space.
The location is remarkably quiet and peaceful, and yet is only a 5-minute walk to the High Street and the beach!

Guest access
Access to the house is shared with the owners, but your space in the Garden Studio is private. You will have your own keys to the external doors, so you can come and go as freely as you like.

During your stay
We live in the rest of the house, and are available most of the time, should you need anything. We will be here to welcome you when you arrive.
There are no facilities for other guests, so you will have peace and quiet in your own relaxing space.

The space
The cottage is on the quiet end of the High Street for convenience and the seafront is just two minutes to the east. The river walks and Martello tower walk along the seafront are 3 minutes away to the south as the town gives way to spectacular views of the sea on the left and the river on the right. Sunsets are a must. Colourful contemporary works often featuring nature can be seen around the cottage. My portable telescope is available for start gazers.

My guests say my kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfortable, location is amazing, and my response time super fast. Check in is a simple matter of collecting your keys from my neighbour.

The cottage is in wonderful Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast. It's cosy and comfortable, very near the sea, shops, pubs and restaurants.

There are two bedrooms with double beds - one accessed by some quite steep steps. There is another bedroom with a single bed
- the bathroom and top bedroom are accessed via this room.

To save costs, guests are required to bring their own linen and towels and tidy before they leave. We provide duvets, pillows and blankets. Dogs are welcome.

The space
The house isn't glitzy or glammy - more a well loved family home. We welcome guests with dogs as we have little ones ourselves. We love the house dearly and hope you will too when you stay. We have a cleaner who cleans before and after you arrive but ask you to leave the house tidy and as you found it.

The house, like many in the little terrace on Park road, is just below the street level and suffered quite badly in the floods of 1953 and the water stayed in the house for quite some time afterwards. The walls soaked up a lot of salty water and to this day still makes the walls appear as if they are damp so please excuse any flaky paint.

The space
A gorgeous haven for couples and families, it is a wonderful holiday base throughout the year, with coast, countryside, culture & food on the doorstep. Days at the beach, sailing, horseriding, fishing, birdwatching, relaxing galore!

This lovely Victorian fisherman's cottage is in the heart of Aldeburgh on a quiet street, 25 yards from the beach and 25 yards from Aldeburgh high street. Arwen cottage is a lovely cosy cottage, full of character and exceptionally comfortable, clean and well-equipped, including the use of unlimited Wi-Fi and super fast broadband.

Arwen cottage is close to an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, characterful pubs, excellent art galleries, a cinema and a theatre. The cottage is also a few paces from the most famous fish and chip shop in the country.

There are excellent restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away - The Lighthouse, Regatta and Brudenell are all excellent as well as several others. As you step out of the cottage door the promenade and beach are a few paces in one direction, and the high street just yards away the other way. Despite the perfect location, the cottage is delightfully peaceful.

There is also public parking just outside the cottage.

The cottage has been re-furbished in a light but luxurious style and has been brought into the 21st century, with contemporary kitchen and bathroom and very comfy furnishings. On the ground floor it has a lovely cosy living room and dining space with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. There is a private sunny courtyard with outside furniture too.

On the first floor it has a master bedroom which is spacious and peaceful with Victorian sash windows and a solid wood frame king size bed. There is also a guest bedroom, which is furnished with a bunk-bed made of metal frame and superior quality mattresses, covered with natural linen.

Arwen cottage is a lovely fisherman's cottage, full of character and exceptionally comfortable. We provide complimentary toiletries and essential pantry items such as coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, salt and pepper. We also provide household essentials such as washing up liquid, cling film wrap, foil paper and cleaning products.

Guest access
Public parking for one or two vehicles are available outside Arwen cottage in King street. During the holidays parking can be limited. In that case there is a play and display car park 2 minutes walk from the cottage or you can park on the high street for free between 6pm and 9am.

Other things to note
This beautiful period fisherman's cottage is compact in its size but full of charm and character. Please note that as with many cottages built in this era, the steps to the 1st floor are quite steep, care needs to be taken. We do not offer storage space for bicycles inside or outside the cottage as the courtyard has not external access. Guests will need to arrange their own storage for bicycles. The space
Pebble cottage would suit a family (of up to 5) or two couples. It is stylishly designed with lots of original features, whilst being well equipped with all the creature comforts including fast internet. It has very comfortable beds, hypoallergenic pillows and quilts and 100% white cotton bed linen and towels. There is a private garden with a BBQ and dining furniture.

There is a travel cot, high chair, toddler step and childrens tableware at the property. There is space to position the cot in the main bedroom or the study adjacent to the master bedroom is also ideal for a cot

One small well behaved dog can be accommodated - a pet fee will apply.

The pub opposite occasionally hosts live music events, such as local singers. There is a Tesco Express and large Coop supermarket (with EV chargers) nearby.

There is a very pleasant walk through the park to the high street and beach where you can find restaurants, cafes and independent shops.

Our neighbours have access through the passage at the rear of the cottage to enable them to put out their bins.

The cottage is set back about 25m from the High Street so although still right in the heart of the town is quiet and peaceful . There is also rear access to the cottage from The Terrace where there is free parking.
Aldeburgh is the jewel in the crown of Suffolk's Heritage coast but is also perfectly located to visit Snape Maltings , Southwold, Orford, Dunwich and Minsmere.

The property is accessed at the front by a private pedestrian gate on the High Street and a short path (25m) to the front door . There are six steps up to the front door.
The rear entrance is via The Terrace . There are steps (quite steep) down to the back door.
Inside, taller guests will need to be careful going through the doorways and the stairs are traditional cottage stairs.

A beautiful, friendly, very peaceful country house on the outskirts of Aldeburgh overlooking RSBP reserve, with views across to the sea and Thorpeness. Recently refurbished to highest standards and adjoining Priors Oak Butterfly and Wildlife gardens (open to guests). Perfect holiday for walking, golf, bird watching, sailing, Snape Music and the Heritage Coast and great pubs and eateries.

The space
Tresco is a wonderfully comfortable and spacious house, it has a secure dog proof garden, and is ideally situated to explore all the wonderful surrounding footpaths. There are beautiful trails on the bird Reserve immediately over the road, plus the well known Sandlings walk which follows the sandy track immediately next to the Tresco driveway. All the surrounding towns and villages can be reached via the foot path network, including Aldeburgh, Aldringham, Thorpness, Sizewell, Snape, Knodishall and Friston. Once you have walked to your hearts content two wonderfully comfy sofas await where you can put your feet up and enjoy a well deserved rest!
