- "Lovely small property on the main High Street of Tenterden, but well set back from the road so no noise issue. The property is very well equipped with everything you might require. The town has plenty of different places to eat and supermarkets if you prefer to cook. An excellent stay." - "Sweet little old house with nicely equipped modern kitchen and bath, and very accommodating host. Could not be more convenient to the shops and restaurants. Do take the property description seriously when it talks about awkward stairs - there are excellent handrails on the steep, narrow, twisting climb to the loo and upper bedroom beyond but it would not be fun for the mobility challenged. For us it just added to the cottage charm."

Situated in a rural location, yet with Tenterden on the doorstep, The Stable spot has some amazing views across the Wealden countryside. Once a stable, the property has been tastefully restored into a quality home from home. Each fitting has been skilfully crafted - each door has been hand made and the beautiful brickwork, beams give a real sense of authenticity. The patio looks across a paddock and has garden furniture. Fresh farm produce can also be purchased from next door depending on the season.
Off from the entrance hall, the well equipped kitchen includes oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Stepping down from this into the spacious lounge and dining area, the exposed brickwork and wood-burning stove bring a great deal of character. Comfortable seating for 6 in both dining and lounge spaces along with a flat-screen Freeview TV and double doors which lead out onto the patio. The family bathroom including bath with shower over, WC and basin is also on this floor as well as a double bedroom with en-suite shower-room. Upstairs is a quirky landing connecting either end with an equally character twin bedroom - this feels like something from a fairy tale with its vaulted beams! At the other end is a another double bedroom with views across the paddock and a further bathroom including bath, WC and basin. 2 put-up beds can be erected to sleep 8 at an additional charge, one on the upstairs landing and the other in the main king size bedroom.
- "This property was absolutely 💯 the cleanest vrbo that I have stayed in , the stable is as discribed the owners were friendly they didn’t seem to mind the amount of visitors we had over . Was lovely to see the animals and the puppy dog . Would not hesitate to come back or recommend we stayed 16 knights and loved every single one . Now it’s time to go back home to Las Vegas." - "IT was really great. The cottage ist perfect the Family is nice and everything was really great from the first to the Last Detail."

A warm welcome awaits, with a lovely entrance hall flooding the space with light from the modern roof lantern. Wander through to a spacious breakfast kitchen, with floor to ceiling glazed panels and door to the pretty terrace, garden and countryside beyond. Ideal in all seasons, the cosy sitting room, focusing around the wood burning stove, spills into another dining area for family suppers or a romantic dinner à deux! And if it's the romance of France you long for, a hop across the Channel and you're there. A single-storey dwelling with two lovely bedrooms including a king-size and a twin with the option of super-king, both having access to their own bathroom, one to the family bathroom with a free-standing bath, and the other enjoys its own wet room. A useful playroom/study provides a quiet spot to catch up on some work; or a rowdy room for the children to enjoy the Nintendo Wii!
Overlooking fields and woodland, this pretty weather-boarded cottage is peacefully situated at the end of a grassy track. Surrounded by enclosed gardens with heavily scented old roses, the terrace provides garden furniture and there is plenty of space for summer living, with room to kick a football around, along with plenty of parking.

- "Gorgeous cottage in beautiful Kent countryside. The cottage was exceptionally clean and very welcoming, with a lovely flow between rooms. Fantastic outdoor sitting space and garden from kitchen French doors. Great access to country walks. Lovely soaking bath and fun to light a fire in the living room for cozy evenings. We loved it!" - "Great part of the world. Feels like you are properly in the sticks and yet 25 mins to coast. Love the gift hamper and dog biscuits, that was hugely appreciated. We felt very at home in Tufton very quickly. We were there when it was super hot so would have appreciated a fan and an umbrella for some shade with the outside table. Otherwise the house really did have everything we needed. Highly recommend Tufton!"

We stopped at chapel down a winery just a stones throw away for a bottle of Bacchus (best!) to have with our dinner and kicked back to watch the big screen (an upgrade from the pictures) ! - "Nice place, perfect for a weekend. Good decor and in good condition. Confusion on whether a parking permit needed displaying (it didn’t) so waster about 30 mins trying to get past the Vrbo bots. Once we got a human all was cleared up. However it would be good if the manual were to be updated. Bed comfy. Seating for the dressing table to do makeup was a kind of beanbag which was a struggle and the lighting was tricky as there was very little natural light in the bedroom. Kitchen well equipped except for no microwave. "

Tenterden is a town in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. It stands on the edge of the remnant forest the Weald, overlooking the valley of the River Rother, and it was a member of the Cinque Ports Confederation. Known as ’The Jewel of the Weald,’ Tenterden’s history has been shaped by its location. In the Middle Ages sheep grazed on rich marshland pastures and thus flourished in the 14th Century. Today, Tenterden is best known for its lovely, wide High Street lined with weatherboarded buildings, Georgian, Jacobean, and Victorian shops, and overlooked by tall, leafy trees. Many of the buildings date from the 18th century, when Tenterden enjoyed a renaissance due to a resurgence in the wool and cloth industry.
