Sapperton Cottage is set in the beautiful grounds of a country house, a stone's throw from the pretty Surrey Hills village of Peaslake, with its country pub and cute village store.

Enjoy our tranquil setting, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with amenities such as mountain biking, hiking and horse riding on the doorstep or just sit on the comfy outdoor sofa in the orchard next to the cottage!
The space
The recently redecorated cottage, has a well equipped kitchen with a Nespresso maker, washing machine and tumble drier, a separate dining room and spacious living room overlooking the orchard.

The bathroom and separate toilet are located on the ground floor. Upstairs, are 2 good sized double bedrooms - one with a double bed and sink and one with twin beds.

Please be aware that the stairs in the cottage are relatively steep, and although there are handrails on both sides, the cottage may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, or young children.
Guest access
Guests can access the entire cottage apart from the storage room at the top of the stairs.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the orchard behind the cottage.

There is a security gate to access the grounds to the house and cottage.

The cottage sleeps seven people in five bedrooms which are a super king-size double with an en-suite shower room, a double, a twin, a single room and a ground floor double. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen with a dining area, a utility, a sitting room and a snug with an open fire. Outside there is ample off road parking, a front lawned garden and a rear lawned garden with a patio, furniture and a summerhouse. Woodhill Cottage is in a fantastic setting with many attractions and activities nearby.

THE SPACE:
Olive Pod is designed with relaxation in mind, with neutral tones throughout. From the soft cream interior to the white bed linen, you'll find the whole space has a natural tranquil feel. Outside you'll find a decked walkway leading to outdoor seating, a wood fired hot tub, fire pit and gas BBQ. Giving you everything you need to have an amazing stay.

It is a beautiful space, set up for couples and is exclusively for ADULTS ONLY! Olive Pod is a self-catering, self-check-in accommodation, so we provide our guests with plenty of information, 'How to' videos and guides to make you as self-sufficient as possible.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent online support during your stay, to ensure it runs smoothly. We are at the other end of the Vrbo app during your stay and you can also call us for anything urgent. We are not on-site 24hrs per day, to allow you to enjoy the space un-interrupted. Because of this, we do highly recommend you read the full description to check that Olive Pod is the right stay for you.

INSIDE THE POD:
The pod itself houses the bedroom, dining area, seating area and kitchen. Just tucked behind the pod is your own private shower room - it's no more than a couple of steps from the pod door.

BEDROOM: Relax in our gorgeous Super-King sized bed with a fully orthopaedic mattress. Not only will you be comfortable, but also not short of space in this gorgeous big bed.

BATHROOM: Tucked just behind the pod is your own private shower room. Complete with toilet, basin and shower. Inside you'll find both shower and hot tub towels provided for you, so you don't have to pack them. - The pod shower room is no more than a couple of steps from the pod door and has it's own heating.

KITCHEN: Olive Pod also boasts a wonderful, well kitted-out kitchen. Built using recycled and reclaimed wood, you'll find the kitchen tucked just behind the bed, inside the pod. The kitchen has almost everything you'd have at home, so you'll be able to make your meals inside the pod if you're not looking to dine out. In the kitchen you'll find:

- Coffee pod machine
- Milk frother
- Mini induction hob
- Air fryer
- Microwave
- Fridge (no freezer we're afraid)
- Plus all the cutlery, cooking instruments, dining equipment and pans you need to cook.

OUTSIDE: You'll find a decked walkway leading to all the outdoor amenities you'll need, to make your stay truly special. We have a gorgeous wood-fired hot tub, outdoor dining area, gas BBQ and fire pit, which has been built into the centre of the deck walkway.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

SPIDERS & BUGS:
Due to the nature of the pod building, you may find the odd spider or bug inside the pod. We do a thorough dust, clean and sanitise prior to your stay, however, as the pod is made of fabric there are ways bugs can enter the space. If this is a big no, no for you, we'd highly recommend you don't book a Glamping stay at Olive Pod.

HOT TUB HEATING:
The hot tub is log fired, so you will need to light this and heat this up during your stay - without assistance. We provide 'How to' videos to help with this.

Prior to your stay, we will empty, sanitise and re-fill the hot tub. This is the standard hygiene practice for all log-fired hot tubs and ensures you're not sharing the water of the previous guest. Due to this important hygiene process, we unfortunately do not have the time, to heat the hot tub to an ambient temperature for your arrival.

We always aim to either set up the fire or start heating the hot tub prior to your arrival at check-in time (3pm). The hot tub takes approximately 3 - 6 hours to heat up (depending on ground and air temperature). We are unable to heat the hot tub past 3pm. If you are arriving a lot later than 3pm, please bear in mind, you might not be able to heat the hot tub up in time, for that first evening.

OLIVE POD HEATING & COOLING:
The pod dome's main source of heating is a log burning stove. This is an excellent source of heating. You will need to be able to light and maintain a fire to heat the pod with the log burning stove - if this is something you are not used to, we'd provide 'How to' videos, as we are not on-site available to light this for you. If you foresee this being an issue - Olive Pod is possibly not the place for you.

To top up the heat, you will have a radiator inside the pod to use too. We also provide you with a heated mattress cover, to keep you nice and cosy. If you require additional heating, pop us a message during your stay so we can provide you with more heaters.

In the summer months, we will provide you with an air conditioning unit to ensure you stay cool. This is sufficient to cool the space, without the need of additional fans.

LOGS, FIRELIGHTERS & MATCHES:
We provide guests with a bundle of logs, firelighters and matches. This is included in your accommodation cost. Any additional logs or firelighters you need, can be purchased through us (if available) or across the road there is a garden centre, which stocks everything you need. This is within walking distance.

CHILDREN, PETS & ADDITIONAL GUESTS:
We are unable to make any exceptions, under any circumstances, for the following, due to insurance and safety. We are unable to host, infants children, pets or additional guests on site during your stay at Olive Pod. Our pod is for adults only and for two guests.

1 NIGHT STAYS:
We are unable to accommodate 1-night stays due. Like a lot accommodation, it is not financially viable for us to offer this to our guests. Having tried 1-night stays, early on in your journey, the feedback from guests that with less than 24hrs in the pod (on a single night stay) they were unable to really enjoy and get to use all of the facilities at the pod.

ACCESSABILITY:
Due to the environment and set up of Olive Pod it may not be suitable for someone with limited mobility. The pod is on a raised deck without rails, access is via a field on uneven ground and the bathroom is located just outside the pod. If you have any questions with regards to accessibility, please drop us a message on Airbnb prior to your booking.

If you would like to combine your visit to the cottage with a guided tour of the area, please let the owner know. They can also arrange skills training or mountain bike hire if you want to explore the trails for yourself.
Inside the cottage you will find the kitchen/dining room which is very well equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer to wash your kit when you come home from trailing or going out for walks. Upstairs you will find the two double bedrooms and the family bathroom. There are a couple of big sofa beds in the living room and one in the main bedroom to sleep a further three guests should you need the space. The owner owns the village pub, The Hurtwood Inn, which serve authentic Italian food in the heart of the Surrey Hills. So no matter what you do you will surely make some amazing memories while staying at the Old School House.
