The cottage is within easy reach of several Blue Flag beaches, local shops, restaurants and wine bars. It is tucked away in an idyllic courtyard yet still close to all the amenities Broadstairs has to offer. The perfect bolthole for a wonderful holiday!

The cottage was built in 1640 & has the added attraction of ships timbers & beamed ceilings throughout & like the other Fishermen’s Cottages, as you enter you get the feeling of stepping back in time where the men made their living from fishing or smuggling.
This unique cottage offers 2 bedrooms, and can comfortably sleep 4 people.

The main bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed.
You will also find a brand new fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and seating for 4 persons.

The lounge has faux leather sofas, a television with freeveiw and WI-FI is included.

The bathroom has a bath and shower which completes the accommodation.

Outside there is a courtyard garden with patio table and chairs. The garden is secure and child friendly, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the sunshine and have your breakfast or a glass of wine.

Small but perfectly formed, the cottage has a bright and airy living space it also boasts a great outdoor area perfectly designed for alfresco eating in the summer or for just relaxing after a long day at beach.

The ground floor consists of a fully stocked kitchen with cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and kettle as well as a dining area that seats 4 comfortably. The door in the kitchen leads to the garden and a patio area. Outdoor seat cushions and pads are also provided.

Across the entrance hall is the living room with 2 comfy sofas, flat screen TV, free unlimited WiFi as well as use of the SONOS sound system for playing radio and music controlled directly from the SONOS app on your android or iPhone.

First Floor
At the top of the stairs to the right is the double bedroom with double bed, bedside tables and lights, small built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, mirror, radio and hair dryer.

Across the hallway is the bathroom with bath, shower (over the bath), toilet, basin and heated towel rail.

At the top of the stairs to the left is the twin bedroom with 2 single beds (can be pushed together), small built in wardrobe and mirror with a large sash window looking out onto the garden.

At the front of the cottage there is parking for 1 car on the right hand side of the graveled area in front of the cottage.

The Pathway is the road that leads up to the cottage and it is a one-way narrow road so is not suitable for large 4x4s or vans.

This little gem has just been fully refurbished. Built in around the 1860's, Smuggler's Cottage is set in a quiet and quaint little little courtyard called Church Square. It is surrounded by other lovely old flint fisherman's cottages that share the courtyard.
There is free ample parking only 2 minutes walk away on the Eastern Esplanade.

A lovely atmosphere has been created in this cottage with added beams through out . A light and airy atmosphere has been created with a sea-side theme.

It has two bedrooms and can comfortably sleep four people.

The cottage is approached from the square and up 2 steps to the front door which is on the first floor. You walk straight in to the lounge where there is a comfortable 3 seater sofa, and an armchair, a TV with Free view and a electric log burner for instant warmth and free WIFI is also included.

Spiral stairs lead down to the well-lit basement kitchen which is fully equipped for all your culinary needs and has a dining table which comfortably seat four people for dinner. In addition, the kitchen also has a washing machine and beautiful new fridge.

On the second floor you will find the second bedroom with two single beds and a new separate bathroom with a power shower, toilet and basin.

The main bedroom is on the third floor and has a luxurious double bed.

Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

The house is a few minutes' walk from the sandy beach (The Sunday Times names "Stone Bay" as the best beach in Kent) to one side and a few minutes' walk from all the restaurants and bars to the other.

Broadstairs has a number of English Language Schools catering for individual and group learning.

The charming but spacious cottage has great character in the century-old design, wood-panelled dinning room and large secluded garden. There are 3 lovely double bedrooms, sleeping up to six, with the possibility of 2 additional cot beds. On the first floor you will find the two main bedrooms and the main bathroom (with bathtub and shower), and a separate toilet. The master bedroom to the front has wonderful sea views and the back bedroom looks over our lovely, secluded garden. Downstairs there is a dining room, a sitting room, a kitchen with an additional small dining area, a brand-new downstairs shower room and a second separate toilet. Bedroom number 3 can also be found on the ground floor, through our little 'sunroom' towards the back of the property. The sitting room has TV and DVD and there is free Wifi.

The house is situated in a lovely, tiered garden with mature shrubs and (fruit) trees, with swings, see-saw and lots of toys for children as well as books and DVDs for all ages. There is a lovely sun trap al-fresco dining area which completes the holiday feeling. We hope that you will appreciate the charm of our home as much as we do.

Bay Cottage is a beautiful 18th century cottage located in the heart of the historic seaside town of Broadstairs. The cottage has been lovingly renovated to a high specification but it still retains its original charm, character and features. This really is the best location to stay in Broadstairs only a minute walk away to the beautiful sandy beach of the famous Viking Bay and a wealth of fabulous restaurants, bars and shops.

- "Charming, attractive old cottage complete with wooden beams and floors, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Plenty of space for us as a family (though as others have mentioned, there is one bathroom rather than two). The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The location is very central and right next to the action - which is great in terms of being a minute from the beach, restaurants etc but did mean it was noisy at night, with it being a bank holiday weekend (some antisocial behaviour in the street plus loud music from the bars). Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay, had a great afternoon on the beach and several good meals, including the Jetty and takeaway seafood from Flotsam & Jetsam (just down from the cottage)."

Broadstairs popular Folk Week Festival runs annually in August, and if you’re visiting Broadstairs with teenagers then Revolution Skate Park which operates out of Viking Bay is well worth a visit. There are also climbing and BMX sessions available. For walkers and cyclists alike, join the Thanet Coast Viking Trail – part of route 15 of the National Cycle Trail, and no trip to Broadstairs would be complete without a visit to a seafront ice cream parlour and watching the dazzling fireworks on a summer evening. This little gem has just been fully refurbished. Built in around the 1860's Pickwick's cottage is set in a quiet and quaint little little courtyard called Church Square. It is surrounded by other lovely old flint fisherman's cottages that share the courtyard.

There is free ample parking only 2 minutes walk away on the Eastern Esplanade.

A lovely atmosphere has been created in this cottage with added beams through out for that cosy warm feel and including in the décor are old pictures of the harbour and Charles Dickens characters on the walls.

It has two bedrooms and can comfortably sleep four people.

The cottage is approached from the square and up 2 steps to the front door which is on the first floor. You walk straight in to the lounge where there is a comfortable sofa and 1 armchair. It has a TV with Free view and an ornamental aga stove. Free WIFI is also included.

Spiral stairs lead down to the well-lit basement kitchen which is fully equipped for all your culinary needs and has a dining table which comfortably seat four people for dinner. In addition, the kitchen also has a washing machine, dishwasher.

On the second floor you will find the second bedroom with two single beds and a new separate bathroom with a power shower, toilet and basin.

The main bedroom is on the third floor and has a luxurious double bed.

Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

The cottage is a fantastic base from which to explore everything the town and surrounding area has to offer and it is only a 100 meters from the beach and 1 minutes walk to the local shops, restaurants and wine bars. You could not ask for a better location set in a peaceful and quite surrounding.

There is free parking for your car on the Eastern Esplanade. This is only a couple of minutes' walk away from the cottage and close to the famous Bleak House where Charles Dickens wrote some of his novels.
If you prefer there is a car park again 1 minute from the cottage and a parking permit can be purchased for £40.00 for the week which allows you to park in other car parks around the Isle.

Just park your car and enjoy the history and beauty of this wonderful old town and its surrounding areas.

If you prefer to walk or cycle, there are some of the best cliff top walks you will see that should not be missed and is famous for its spectacular sunsets, 7 golden beaches and panoramic views you will find in Great Britain. These include Viking bay, Joss bay, Botany bay and there are smaller more secluded beaches if you prefer.
