The property boasts spectacular elevated views down to the Mediterranean Sea with the back drop of the mountains behind. Conveniently placed between the villages of Catalkoy & Ozankoy which offer a wide variety of restaurants & shops. Situated approx 4 miles east of Kyrenia town and its beautiful harbour. Notes on accommodation:
Azure is a beautiful modern villa decorated to a high standard. The sitting room has quadruple aspect, which maximises the natural light and offers cross ventilation. There are five patio doors which all lead out onto terraces. An open fire place and travertine floor which both compliment the ground floor. All 3 bedrooms are on the first floor. (1 x King with ensuite / 1 x Double / 1 x Twin). Also the family bathroom (with a bath). There is a door on the landing leading to the roof terrace which offers an alternative sun bathing area, or better still an evening drink. To the west is the view of the remains of the ancient Bellepais Abbey, said to be the most impressive Gothic building in Cyprus. A fantastic sight when illuminated in the evening.
The villa is managed by Sally Isak an English lady who is a resident and is married to a Turkish Cypriot.
There is a mobile phone at the villa for guests to book restaurants etc or to contact Sally, we would ask you to top up if you use it.

Outside:
There is a large overflow swimming pool (10mx5m) with a slight gradient going from 1.5m to 1.7m this is cleaned and maintained twice weekly. There are sunbeds with cushions, tables and parasols provided for your comfort. There is also an outdoor shower for your convenience. A barbecue and large patio area, with dining table for 6 under a pergola is located at the front beside the pool, specifically positioned there to appreciate the views. The pool can be illuminated in the evening with under water lighting and the BBQ area also has lighting for that alfresco evening dining. To the rear of the villa is a large paved terrace with slightly raised borders planted with Orleandor and Hibiscus, orange and lemon trees. There is a large covered pergola with rattan furniture for your comfort. The outside paving surrounds the property allowing complete outside access. Mature gardens to all sides. A stone wall surrounds the property with a gated entrance to the drive with parking for 3/4 cars.

A washing machine is under the stairs with an ironing board and iron.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service:
The villa will be cleaned for your arrival. On a 2 week stay the villa will have a mid stay clean, all linen and towels are supplied and will be changed mid stay (no beach/pool towels are supplied). A welcome pack is supplied for your arrival.

Other:
Dining area with table and chairs that sit up to 6 people, also small sideboard. The dining room has patio doors that lead to the rear garden/terrace. We have an electricity allowance of 350 units per week. There is a small children’s fun fare approximately 500/600 metres from the villa. The children’s fun fare caters for children in the age range of 4 -10 therefore the rides are low intensity and relatively low volume.

A beautiful two-storey property in an unbeatable location, Villa Vounous offers the perfect base for those seeking to explore all the rich experiences that Cyprus has to offer. The villa enjoys a tranquil mountainside setting from where it commands stunning view of both the Beşparmak Mountain Range and the Mediterranean Sea. Directly across from the villa, on the other side of an unspoilt valley on whose edge it perches, is the magnificent medieval Bellapais Abbey, which is clearly visible from the property and lit up every evening. The ancient archaeological site of Vounous, after which the villa is named, is a stone’s throw away.

Echoing its splendid natural environment, the villa has a large garden charmingly dotted with trees and plants. The garden surrounds an overflow swimming pool that is 12 by 6 metres in size and 0.9 meter to 1.8 meters in depth. In addition to steps at its shallow end, the pool has a seating alcove with tables—the perfect spot to cool off with a drink. The paved area around the pool is provided with sun loungers and umbrellas. Near the pool is a Turkish barbecue and a small courtyard with a stone table for eight people and cushioned benches along its walls. At the other end of the property is a smaller glass table for four. Both the garden and pool are professionally maintained at least once a week.

Inside, the villa is generously sized but welcoming, with travertine floors throughout and beautiful pieces of furniture, some of them antiques and locally handcrafted objects. The large open-plan living room and dining area have French doors opening onto the pool area and courtyard. A long wooden table capable of seating ten occupies the dining space, off which is a large fully-equipped kitchen, complete with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, and dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble drier are found in an adjacent utility room.

There are four bedrooms in total, two on each floor, and all with ample inbuilt closet space. The master bedroom upstairs has a king-size bed, a walk-in wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with double sinks, a bathtub, an additional shower, and a toilet. The room next to it has a double bed and en-suite shower and toilet. Both upstairs bedrooms open onto a balcony offering gorgeous views over the mountains and sea. The larger downstairs bedroom, which has doors opening onto the garden area, has a double bed and en-suite shower, toilet, and bidet, while the smaller bedroom includes two single beds and is next to a separate shower room with toilet.

The villa is equipped with air-conditioning units throughout, as well as central heating and a wood stove in the living room for the winter. Freestanding fans are also provided. The hot water is heated by solar panels, with back-up electrical water heating available when necessary. Free wifi and flat-screen TV with IPTV satellite channels. You will also find a portable Bose music system to which you can connect your own smartphone via Bluetooth with the device connected to the Bose.

The villa is set in a third of an acre and is very bright and airy. It has an open plan downstairs which includes a large lounge and an archway through to a very large kitchen diner. It has three very large bedrooms upstairs all with their own terraces with stunning views of the sea, mountains, or both. There are a further three terraces downstairs which include a large pool terrace area with an 5m x 10m overflow pool. The gardens are young but include palm trees, olive trees, fruit trees, bougainvillea and lots of Jasmin which smells wonderful at sunset.

The open plan living area with the central spiral staircase, the master bedroom with its own balcony and ensuite, the gorgeous well landscaped gardens and who can forget the pool! The house is fully equipped- the kitchen had utensils galore, bath towels, beach towels, pool floats. From the very beginning Lynn has gone above and beyond. On booking she contacted me and we had a lovely chat on the phone about the villa. This really put me at ease. Leading up to our holiday she sent a very informative information pack with information on the villa as well as local sight seeing and restaurant recommendations. Lynn also gave me contacts for car hire/airport transfers. As well as this we also had a house manager available if we needed them. Esentepe itself is an authentic Turkish village. Everyone is so friendly and the locals loved teaching our children some Turkish words. Its safe to walk to and from of an evening into the village and there are restaurants and supermarkets, but would certainly recommend a car for sightseeing or a bigger shop. Unfortunately we left it too late to organise a hire car so had a taxi for a few supermarket trips and sightseeing days and this was very reasonable as an alternative. This really was an amazing villa and we had the most fantastic time! We will certainly be visiting again!"

Inside, the villa is open plan and has a fully fitted kitchen, through dining room with a granite dining table, large lounge with leather sofas & open fire. There is a separate cloakroom. For your entertainment, the villa is equipped with a Samsung LCD TV, DVD & satellite channels for news only, plus a Sony Hi Fi system. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms all beautifully finished, the master has an en-suite and there is a separate family bathroom. Each bedroom has its own balcony. There are mountain views to the rear and sea views from the front.

Jasmine Villa in Esentepe, North Cyprus, is a well equipped, and well furnished 4-bedroom air-conditioned property with its own well maintained private pool and attractive garden set in an excellent location with almost uninterrupted panoramic views of the sea and the breathtaking Besparmak mountain range. The villa is spacious, light and airy. It’s located in a small select development at the foot of the hill leading to Esentepe village, about 200m from the sea, and set in a secure walled, railed, and gated garden containing a variety of Mediterranean shrubs and a large area of artificial grass. Ravines on either side ensure that the villa enjoys much privacy. The villa will sleep up to 8 adults plus two babies/toddlers in cots. It's child friendly, being specifically equipped to cater for young children with a high level of baby/toddler equipment available to minimise what parents need to take on holiday. However, the villa would be equally attractive for adult-only visitors as the children's equipment is unobtrusive. Villa has air conditioning throughout and free Wi-Fi internet access. All bedrooms have black-out blinds - these are particularly important if you do not want to be woken too early by the sunrise.

Villa Phorrent was built in 2002 for our family and is located in an olive grove approximately 100m from the main coast road. The villa faces the sea and has the Besparmak mountains behind to provide some cool breeze during the evenings. It is located close to the local shops, restaurants . We have catered for children with a PlayStation 2, DVDs and books, so that the children can enjoy themselves and you can relax. The villa also has a CD player and iPod docking station. We have also installed a full sized pool table for some friendly competition! We have tried to provide all the home comforts possible as this is our second home and we also like to enjoy ourselves and relax when we are in Cyprus. The garden is mature and we have grapes, figs, lemons available to pick, as well as an abundance of fragrant flowers and bushes. The villa is located outside Catalkoy village and approximately 5km from Kyrenia harbour and town centre.

The villa was well located not far from the main road but very quiet and not overlooked with a great pool. Alan was very helpful when we had a slight issue with the hire car he used his local contacts to get it sorted for us very quickly. The air conditioning was great in the bedrooms but we struggled to sit in the lounge area in the evening as it was too hot, but it was in the middle of a European heatwave. However this allowed us to enjoy the outside areas in the evening and take advantage of the games left in the villa and the pool table. We would highly recommend this villa and thank you Alan for your help, we had a great holiday."

The villa is situated in Lapta on the beachside and is within walking distance of Sardunya beach along the new Lapta coastline walkway which a 2 minute walk from our villa. The Olive Press Bowling Green is only a 5 minute walk from our villa and offers bowling. There are also several beaches within walking distance.

Lapta offers wonderful restaurants and beaches - International Cuisine at its finest whether your taste is Indian, Chinese, Italian, or typical Cypriot - you will be spoilt for choice, our personal favourite is Calamari in Lapta. You will find the restaurants very inexpensive and very friendly - normally offering a free coffee and brandy after your meal. Suna's Beach Club in Lapta offers a beautiful setting, you can hire a cabana for the day overlooking the sea, water sports are available and great food and atmosphere.

Lapta has spectacular scenery, cooling sea and mountain breezes in the hot summer months. The area is ideal for those who like the beach and water sports or poolside holidays, as well as for those who like to walk and explore the spectacular mountain scenery and ruins, etc.

Cyprus is also renown for Scuba diving - there are many schools and diving clubs available locally. You can be daring and take in some Paragliding from the mountain top or simply hang in there from the back of a boat!!!! Hire a Jetski or Jetbike - it is all here for you to enjoy with uncrowded beaches to enjoy as well. For the more adventurous there are facilities just along the Coast Road at Escape Beach.

The air conditioning works brilliantly and there are no silly rules about using it , like some places. The pool and gardens are maintained and are gorgeous. Extremely well located (only 5mins by car from the centre of the popular tourist resort of Kyrenia -often referred to as the Pearl of Cyprus), is close to a supermarket less than 1min by car or a baker/patisserie with other basic supplies that is just about 5 min walk away or a beach/bay about 15min walk away. This comfortable villa is well decorated (modern with some Cypriot & tasteful touches), is well equipped in a unique elevated position with lovely views of the unique mountain range of North Cyprus and sea views from all the bedrooms. It is in a peaceful and green residential district (e.g. citrus trees lined cul-de-sac), birds chirping away yet with easy access to the town centre or other touristic areas either by car (also by the new highway to avoid traffic) and by local bus (dolmus) as its just 5min walk to the main coastal road from the villa. It is also surrounded by very nice/decent neighbours (all professional families or retirees). The house is on its own spacious 850m2 plot with a 3 aspect mature Mediterranean garden incl. a totally private main garden with seating and BBQ facing the mountains and hillside (most famously Karaman or Karmi) villages & St Hilarion castle that can be seen on the hilltop above. A larger than usual 10x6m swimming pool is in front of the lounge terraces. There are 3 double bedrooms (1 queen size double, one standard double and one with 2 single beds that can just be prepared with one single bed) all with balconies on the 1st floor, all with lovely seaviews and 2 bathrooms (one being an ensuite). On the ground floor you have a bright airy lounge which joins into the modern well equipped open plan kitchen. It also joins to (with a connecting door) another separate room used either as a study, second lounge as a games or reading room or a 4th bedroom as it has a comfortable sofa bed (1.40x2m). There is also a 3rd bathroom next to this extra room so it is ideal if someone does not want to use the stairs. The ground floor and all bedrooms have aircons and standing fans for comfort although the house is airy with double aspect windows and slidding doors. The house is comfortably furnished with flat screen TVs, one in the lounge with a DVD machine and one in the master bedroom and also a good quality wi-fi everywhere. Outside, by the pool and in the garden, there is plenty of outdoor seating with shade or without (with long chairs, tables and chairs and parasols as well as armchairs, sofa and swing). There are beaches nearby (15 minutes walk to the beautiful bay of Kervansaray with its 5 star Merit Park hotel, a diving school or restaurants to view fantastic sunsets or to use its public beach. The nearest restaurant is 10min walk away and there is a good choice of others in the area. Escape beach, with a private beach and a restaurant, is also just 2min by car or the pictoresque mountain village such as Karmi or Karaman is just 7min. up the hill, by car. Nicosia and its old historic quarter is just 25min away by car using the motorway. Other touristic sites and towns such as Guzelyurt, Kayalar coast & villages, the Troddos mountains & villages or the Karpaz peninsula or Famagusta are all very accessible in a day. Korenium Golf course and the more remote 'Turtle beach' of Alagadi are also within a 20-30minutes drive. The paragliding landing site is close to our house (2 minutes away). Kyrenia with its lovely venetian port is just about 5 min drive away or Nicosia/Lefkosa with its interesting old town is just 25min away with the motorway. There are also many interesting archeological or historical sites (with 5000 years of civilisations colonising the island be it Persian, Greek, Roman, Byzantian, Ottoman) and of course the crusaders including the Lusignans/French(who ruled for 300 years) and the Venetians, the Genoese and the British all very much left their mark here. Then the natural beauty with superb views of the sea or mountains with forests and orchards or valleys and caves or the natural reserve of te Karpaz region are also to be explored.
But best of all, enjoy your beautiful home and pool in a superb Mediterranean garden with scented jasmines, hibiscus, bougainvilles, roses, lavender, palms, cypresses, rubber & pepper trees, jacaranda, frangipani and mix of fruit trees (plum, peach, mandarin, abricot, grapefruit, olive, almond, walnut, pomegranate, guava, avocado etc).

Villa owner very responsive to any issues that you may have and they are remedied very quickly. Restaurants within walking distance are very good and if driving you have so much choice within a few minutes drive. Supermarkets are very well stocked with lovely fresh food. This beautiful three bedroom home with uninterrupted views over the sea and mountains is a front-row villa on a small development situated on a hillside, up from the beach, between Esentepe and Bahceli.

The master bedroom has a double bed, en-suite bathroom and large balcony terrace leading through an arch to an extensive roof balcony all overlooking the stunning views. There are bath, face and beach towels provided and a Maid Service (change of linen, towels and cleaning of bathrooms) is provided for stays of 2 weeks and more.
