The villa is spacious and comfortably accommodated us, with privacy for all and many extra beds available for an even larger group. It is in a great location, within easy walking distance to the Town of Stintino along a dedicated pedestrian (and bicycle) path that follows the seaside. A couple of nights we walked to and from dinner at one of the many local restaurants in Stintino. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed once we stocked up with some groceries from the nearby supermarket. There was even a welcome basket with some Sardinian cookies and wine for us, upon our arrival! The manager Roberta (who was in touch by text and phone) and the housekeeper Sylvia (who greeted us upon arrival to explain everything and also met us upon our departure) were very responsive to our questions and requests. Although the Villa does not have air-conditioning, on most days the ocean breeze provided sufficient cooling relief from the warm Sardinian sun. However, after our first night was particularly warm for late September and we only found one electric fan in the house, we asked Roberta if there were other fans available for each bedroom. She said she would get back to us, and on Monday morning, Sylvia promptly arrived to deliver three additional fans to us at the Villa! We had fun using some of the available equipment, including plenty of lounge chairs, 2 sea kayaks, an assortment of water shoes, snorkeling gear and 2 bicycles. Sylvia also returned in the middle of our week-long stay to change the sheets and towels and take out some of the trash and recycling. In summary, we had a glorious vacation and I completely recommend Villa Blanca to families or groups seeking a private, luxurious, picturesque and peaceful location directly on the water in Northern Sardinia. From the village the beaches can be reached by a shuttle service or in a few minutes by car, while the nearest ones, in front of the village, can also be reached by walking for about twenty minutes or by bike: these are the beaches of Le Saline and La Pazzona. The most popular beach, but also the most busy too, is the Pelosa and it is about 10 minutes by car. On the western side, on the other hand, it is possible to find small inlets between the rocks, which can be reached with a few minutes of walking and the most comfortable from the village is “Coscia di Donna”
The center of Stintino is approx. 5 km, where you can find all the other services and marinas, from where the ferries depart for visits to the Asinara Island. Animals are welcome, trusting in the education of the owners, respecting the house / garden and the guests that will follow!
Around Stintino there are several places and beaches to visit, including the island of Asinara, a former prison island in the past and today Natural Park and marine protected area. I will be pleased, on the spot, to give directions to reach the aforementioned places of cultural touristic interest and the various beaches.
