Costa Paradiso is a nice resort but in the resort this villa and it's view is to die for. For 2-4p a must. Costa Paradiso has it's own gorgeous little secluded beach (a 10min walk from the parking). To the south nice beaches at Isola Rossa and cute mountain town at Castelsardo. To the north(east) lots of secluded beaches along the road, nice larger beaches, towns like St. Teresa, Palau and Porto Cervo (Monaco of Sardinia). A round of golf near Porto Cervo at Pevero Golfclub is a tip with one of the nicest golfcourses in Europe (to my opinion). Rent a boat fom Palau and visit the La Maddalena Islands and La Maddalena town itself. - "We stayed 5 nights in Costa Paradiso with two parents and two older teens. This area of Sardinia is truly stunning with natural beauty. The apartment had a great view of the ocean and direct access to a well maintained pool. Our time was spent between nearby villages, vineyards, and the Li Cossi beach on the property. The resort did not feel very crowded even during July, perhaps August is busier. Our only issue was the lack of Air Conditioning on the hottest week of 2023 with temperatures well above 40 degrees. The apartment did not actually list AC as a feature but we had seen a (non-functioning) unit in the picture online so assumed incorrectly. The staff including Rina was very understanding and helped us to switch to another unit which maybe wasn't quite as impressive but did have functioning AC. This would not have been an issue with normal summer temperatures (30-35) given the good ventilation and sea breeze but was just too much for us in the heat wave. I do highly recommend a rental car as things inside and outside the resort are very spread out. The roads in Saridinia (our first visit) also present a great opportunity to practive your driving skill as there is very little straight and flat autostrada and almost entirely curvy mountain road sometimes filled with goats / sheep etc. I highly recommend paying for full insurance on a rental car. I would like to try to come back some day in Late Spring or Early Fall to try out hiking in cooler temps."
