A light and sunny apartment in the Hameau du Glacier residence, Les Arcs 1950, with views over the piste and mountains beyond. Furnished in traditional alpine style and well equipped, the 53m2 apartment boasts 2 en-suite bedrooms, one with twin beds (2m long), a bath and WC and the other with a king size bed (also 2m long) with a shower and separate WC. The bedrooms are situated to either side of the living / dining area. A double size sofa bed is located in the living area, though we prefer occupancy of up to 4 people. The living space and both bedrooms each have large windows to take advantage of the afternoon sun. A private balcony allows al-fresco dining later in the ski season and in the summer. Entertainment facilities include a smart satellite TV and free wi-fi. Fully serviced with towels and linen provided, with an option to have a mid-week clean and / or change of towels and linen (at additional cost, supplied on request). For stays longer than one week, a full clean (excluding the kitchen area) and change of towels and linen at the end of each week is included. Saturday changeover only at present.
Arc1950 was originally developed by the Canadian specialist, Intrawest (who also created the Whistler and Mont Tremblant resorts) between 2003 and 2007 in order to provide, for the first time, a high standard of self-catered accommodation in the French Alps. The traditional architecture of Arc 1950 is striking with a clear move away from the style of earlier developments. All the facilities of the village are right on your doorstep. Shops, bars and restaurants are all located on the village street level as are ski hire, ski school and lift pass office. There is also direct access into the residence from the underground secure car parking (payable locally). The Arc 1950 village itself is strictly car-free.
With the addition of the high speed “Vanoise Express” lift in late 2003, the resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne are now linked to form the “Paradiski” domaine with over 450 km of pistes and many off-piste opportunities. It is possible to ski all the way to Champagny for lunch and back again before the lifts close. Truly a “ski-in, ski-out” location, access to the pistes from the apartment really couldn’t be easier - you can ski virtually from and right back to the locker room door. The apartment has 2 ski lockers and the changing room is heated.
The village is divided into 8 residences. Hameau du Glacier has 24 hour reception (ski season only), a fully equipped gym, sauna, steam room and free laundry facilities. During the ski season, there are Eurostar services from London St Pancras to Bourg Saint Maurice currently twice a week; one daytime, the other overnight. There are also indirect rail services with changes in Paris or Lille. From Bourg Saint Maurice rail station, there is a funicular railway to Arc 1600 with a free coach connection from there to Arc 1950. Frequent flights from a variety of operators are available to Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambéry with car hire, bus, rail or taxi connections from the airports.

We fell in love with our apartment as soon as we stepped in the doors. Being situated at the corner of the building, it benefits from a balcony that wraps around both sides of the apartment. Sadly, at the moment due to safety concerns, the balcony is shut but has plenty of light and stunning views over the piste as well as views of Mont Blanc. Les Arcs 1950 is a ski-in ski-out car-free resort, making it perfect for families - You do literally ski to and from your front door. We all enjoy the apres-ski as much as the skiing - with many restaurants and shops as well as the recently renovated steam room, sauna and hot tub in the building - the swimming pool and nearby bowling.

The apartment gives you generous amounts of living space.
The kitchen and living area are combined. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a sink, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge, oven and microwave. There is a kitchen island which serves as a table and seats 6.
The living area has a sofa (which is a sofa bed ) and two chairs with a TV. There is a dvd player and dvds which you are free to use as well as lots of family board games.
The hall has plenty of storage space for coats and boots.

Everything you need in the village (bars, restaurants, shops, supermarket, bakery, ski-school, lift passes etc) is within a few minutes walk. There is also a beautiful Deep Nature Spa (charges apply) for if you want to relax, pamper and sooth your aching muscles.

Arc 1950 is linked to Arc 2000 by a very short (couple of minute) ride on the Cabriolet lift so offering further choice in terms of shops, bars, restaurants, 10 pin bowling and other activities. There is also a free shuttle bus that takes you Arc 1800 and Arc 1600. From 1600 there is a funicular that takes you down into the valley town of Bourg St Maurice.

Arc 1950 is a completely pedestrianised village so it is very safe for families. If you have young children there is a creche very close to the apartment should you require. There is also a busy entertainment program offered in the village throughout the season to entertain people of all ages. We even get Santa zip-lining across the roof tops on Christmas eve !

We love it here because with guaranteed snow (70% of slopes above 2000m) and direct access to 425km pistes in the Paradiski area, there is literally something for everyone to have a fantastic ski holiday ! The area offers extensive skiing for all abilities so there is something for everyone. Some of the activities available are - skiing, snowshoeing, paragliding, sledging, snowpark (covering 7.5 hectares), heli-skiing, wellness spa and an Igloo bar (with some impressive ice sculptures) which is well worth a visit.

Also not to be missed...The Aguille Rouge stands at 3,226m and the newly built walkway gives you the chance to take in some impressive 360 panoramic views.

Located on the first floor, it is just a few minutes walk to the main entrance and the snow. It has a lovely balcony with views of Mont Blanc. There was an area below the balcony where children enjoyed sledging. Our daughter loved this. We took her sledge but there was one on the balcony that you can use. The apartment is well appointed, very modern and very well equipped. We didn't need to eat out as the kithen facilities were so good plus the supermarket is only a short walk away and is well stocked. It's so conveniently located that we were able to nip home for lunch each day. The main entrance is right across from Wood Bear Cafe which is a lovely spot if you want lunch and/or drinks. Comfy beds and lovely clean bathrooms. TV in each bedroom and the living room with some English channels. Good WiFi. The only issue we had was understanding the heating controls. There are instructions but we couldn't fathom them! The apartment was warm enough though and the maintenance man popped in to help. There is a ski locker. If you are visiting in a peak week I recommend going down early to get your ski's as it gets very busy round 9am before lessons start. Didn't use the gym area but did use the pool jacuzzi, steam and sauna which are a lovely addition. Already looking to book this apartment again for next year. Highly recommend."

It has 425km of pistes shared between Les Arcs and La Plagne and joined by the astonishing double decker cable car, the Vanoise Express.

Sources de Marie is at the quieter end of the village. 68 is a bright, spacious apartment of 42m2. While it is on the ground floor, it has a balcony due to the level of the land falling away outside. It is almost at the end of the building, so there is very limited footfall past the front door. It is village-side and overlooks the magic carpet and the jardin de neige where our youngest visitors start their journey to learn to ski. We have had endless enjoyment over the years watching them (and our own children) get to grips with the new skill.

It has a view of Mont Blanc from the balcony, great views of the Aiguille Rouge and the Arc 2000 mountains and is close to the Deep Nature Spa with its treatment rooms, hammam and indoor swimming pool (with entry fee). The well-equipped kitchen has a 4-ring convection hob, oven, microwave, toaster, filter coffee machine, Nespresso machine, kettle, dishwasher and a fridge freezer. We are keen cooks and there is a large enough selection of pans, frying pans, crockery, glasses etc to cook meals from scratch, although be aware that preparation space is limited. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it and an extendable drying line. There is also a hair dryer and shaver point. The apartment is close to one of the laundries in Sources de Marie.

We have also provided a small selection of board games to entertain younger (and not so young) guests.

In the beautiful residence LE RUITOR (formerly residence MAEVA) for your winter holidays in the snow, we rent this very nice 2 rooms facing south and offering a magnificent view of the valley. You will find at the entrance of the residence a ski locker and shoes in a secure, heated and ventilated room.

The studio entrance of 30 M2 is between the stay of one side and the room of the other thus preserving their independence during the night. In the entrance, a large closet, access to the bathroom with sink and bath, direct access to the separate toilet of the bathroom.

Then from the entrance, a door gives on the small room with cupboard and equipped with a clever convertible sofa convertible in either:
-A 3/4 seater sofa for the day (unobstructed bed room)
-2 bunk beds 80+ 1 third next to 80 (total 3 beds)
-1 large double bed 160 bringing the 2 beds down + 1 bed high 80

It is ideally located on the snow front, facing the slopes. At 30 meters from the chair lifts, ski lessons departure (ski school) and the kids club. This is the best location of the resort.

Arc 1950 is a beautiful pedestrianised village with underground car parking and direct, ski in ski out, access to the wonderful Paradiski ski area; one of the largest linked ski areas in the world. It has 425km of pistes shared between Les Arcs and La Plagne and joined by the astonishing double decker cable car, the Vanoise Express.

Sources de Marie is at the quieter end of the village. 341 is a SW facing, spacious (57m2), apartment which has peaceful views of the Transarc mountains and the vallee de L’Arcs piste. It has a very large corner balcony – less useful in winter, though I have had breakfast on it in December, but particularly beautiful in spring and summer, getting the afternoon sun, with a table that seats six comfortably. It is at the end of the building, so there is no passing footfall outside the apartment.

The apartment accommodates up to six in a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area. There is plenty of storage available for guests. The apartment has its own WiFi rather than relying on the village wide WiFi. The living area has an extendable dining table which seats six comfortably and a 40” smart TV (Netflix compatible) and don’t forget your favourite DVDs as we also provide a DVD player. - "I have been going to Les Arcs 1950 for 10 years and stayed in many apartments there. This apartment is laid out in what is in my opinion the best design for the Les Arcs apartments. The central room contains the kitchenette, dining table and lounge area. Each bed room is off to one side, the double room on left, the twin on right both with separate toilet/bath/shower rooms. This means there is privacy plus peace and quiet between bedrooms, as I was staying with teenagers this was a good thing. Could not fault this apartment in terms of cleanliness and equipment. The chaise sofa by the window overlooking the lifts and mountain was a particularly favourite spot to relax at the end of a busy day on the slopes. The owners were very communicative and ensured I had all the necessary information and booking forms for a smooth check in."

My flat is light and airy, spacious and comfortable. It's balcony over looks the Alpine mountains and it is located just 3 minute walk from Bourg St Maurice Railway Station (Eurostar & Other trains) and a 3 or so minute walk from the Les Arcs Funicular which will take you to the ski runs within 20 minutes. If you are more of a summer mountain sports lover it is surrounded by various scenic hiking/ mountain biking and trail running routes.

Your bedroom is a double bedroom with more than enough space for two people, there is a wardrobe and other storage space for you to place your belongings.

The flat has one bathroom with a bath and a shower and a separate toilet which you will share with me. I like to keep my house very clean so that everything is sparkling for you when you stay!

There is a large open plan living room/ dining room/ kitchen with large sliding french doors opening up on to an airy balcony.

You are more than welcome to use the kitchen at any point to make yourselves food/coffee as and when you fancy.
