Bellevue apartment is a very comfortable, well-equipped apartment in an excellent location. The apartment is located in a peaceful position approximately 100m from the Bellevue cablecar and chairlift which give direct access to the Les Houches ski area. It is possible, snow permitting, to ski back on either blue or black runs to within 50 metres of the apartment (The ski slope ends right outside the Kitsch Inn). Around the Bellevue cable car are ski hire shops and ski school office as well as some excellent restaurants, bars and shops including a boulangerie selling delicious pastries and fresh breakfast croissants. The nearest supermarket is approximately 8-10 minutes' walk.

The ski bus stops at the Bellevue cable car and runs regularly to the Prarion gondola (2mins) or into Chamonix (approx. 20 mins). In summer, the Bellevue and Prarion lifts are the starting points for some beautiful hikes with amazing views of the Mont Blanc mountain range.

THE BUILDING :

Your accommodation is a ground floor chalet style apartment with its own garden, set within a small complex of holiday accommodations in a beautiful location.



INSIDE :

This self contained property has classic alpine décor with wood panelling, double height lounge and stylish windows. As you enter you will find the master bedroom and ensuite shower/ WC to the right and the children's bunk room to the left. The family bathroom is next on the left hand side. The kitchen diner and living space encompasses the rest of the apartment. There are patio doors to the garden area and decking with BBQ and seating.

There are two bedrooms, one double bed room and one bunk bedroom (bed size 190cm X 80cm)) plus extra sleeping arrangements in the communal area if you need to sleep a couple more.

Bathroom facilities include a shower room with a sink and WC, and an extra WC off the double bedroom with a washbasin.



OUTSIDE :

The outside offers you a private green space to relax and enjoy the view of the Mont Blanc range, You are a short walk away from the Pain De Chibon where every Wednesday you can buy freshly baked bread and regional specialties meats and cheeses.



GREAT LOCATION :

You can walk down the hill to the bus stop which provides regular free bus transport to the whole valley including the nearby ski lifts in Les Houches. Local facilities like the large Super U market are nearby along the main road.



GETTING AROUND :

If you do not have a vehicle there are local buses departing regularly from the main road, which is 10 minutes walk down the hill, so longer coming up. Ski lifts in les Houches are a further 5 minutes by bus. Chamonix Holidays will provide your group with tourist cards/Carte d’hotes which give you free use of the trains in the valley, plus discounts at the pool and entry to museums.

A night bus also runs from Argentiere to Les Houches and costs 4€ per person.

Hey there future guest(s) welcome to my my Les Houches flat (or Adventure HQ as I call it!). Here you will be able to access all the fun and adventure of Chamonix or relax and take a drink and food on the balcony with views of Mt Blanc and the famous Aguille d’ Midi (I personally love doing both).

The space
The flat is a beautifully appointed studio that can sleep 6 (2 on a sofa bed) and has been really well designed to maximise storage space for any adventure kit (or clothes) you bring along with you.

I hate to hammer the point but there’s no WIFI here, some times a random one in the building pops up but it is unreliable - if you see it when you’re there then it’s a bonus but please don’t expect to have WIFI during your stay :)

The balcony
- although small - does have room enough for everyone to be out there enjoying the view and breakfast in the sun on the terrace is one of my favourite things to do when I’m home.

The kitchen
Includes an electric stove (4 rings), a dishwasher, sink area, microwave and electric oven and of course a coffee machine (crucial for early mountain starts).

The bathroom
Fitted with a nice and powerful shower/bath combo for after those long ski days or hiking trips and has a ‘his and hers’ sink that does also seem to function ok as a his&his/hers&hers/person&dog etc sink. The toilet is separate next door.

Beds
The ‘master bedroom’ is an alcove with privacy curtains and the two bunk beds are permanent fixtures with plenty of space and storage for those sleeping in them.

Ski locker:
Included downstairs and parking is private at the rear of the property. WiFi is included but if everybody is on it a 4K video on YouTube may be beyond your bandwidth capabilities.

Location, shops & transport
The flat is situated in my favourite part of the Chamonix valley just before the main part of les Houches, you are close to the bus stop (free regular buses with any lift pass), 100m from the best supermarket anywhere in the valley (with by far the best fresh fruit and veg section) and the train station is a 5 or so minute walk away

This super-convenient apartment is in the centre of Les Houches, just 130 metres from the Prarion ski lifts. On the ground floor of a contemporary chalet-style residence, it sleeps up 4 people and makes a great base for a fabulous holiday, at any time of year.

Location
On a quiet side road, in central Les Houches, this chalet is surrounded by a large shared garden and enjoys beautiful views of the mountains. The Prairon Cable Car is 130 meters away, making the chalet a convenient option for a ski break or for hiking in the summer months.

The town of Les Houches has much to offer visitors of all ages: mountain biking, mountaineering, white water rafting, tennis courts, swimming pools and, for even more excitement, there is the Addicted Adventure Park (11 minutes).

For self-catering, there are many supermarkets and smaller shops selling local specialities. The weekly market (Wednesday afternoon) at Le Pain du Chibon, Les Houches (8 minutes) allows visitors to buy directly from producers.

The nearest station for the Mont Blanc Express is Viaduc Sainte Marie (2 minutes drive), for an efficient rail service throughout the Chamonix Valley area, so visitors can easily explore the rest of the region, all the way up to Mont Blanc.

Central Chamonix is just 15 minutes’ drive away. Geneva airport is 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car.
