The apartment had everything we needed, there were excellent communications with the owner, Veronique, prior to our arrival and a very handy information booklet left to inform us about the apartment and the area. Restaurants, supermarket and bus stop all a short walk away. The super Morzine lift is around 10 minute walk, but if you’re skiing into Les Gets I’d get the free bus to Nyon, although we drove as there’s ample free parking."

We are on the top floor with stunning views overlooking the beautiful town of Morzine and the surrounding mountain peaks.

The open plan kitchen and living area have double opening doors that lead onto a south-west facing balcony, perfect for afternoon winter apres or summertime eating and relaxing.

The modern kitchen diner is compact and well appointed, benefiting from Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine, integrated fridge freezer, microwave, electric hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and all the kitchen utensils you may require during your stay.

The lounge area has a flat Screen TV, Free Wifi, Netflix, Spotif, and a Blue Tooth Marshall Speaker.

Location-

Apartment Le Petit Cheval Blanc two is approximately under a ten minute walk down the road to the closest bars, restaurants & Supermarket and after under another 10 minute walk to the town centre bars and Tourist Office.

The free bus stop A is four minute walk out the back of the apartment , the bus takes ten minutes to Les Prodain 3S high speed lift to Avoriaz and the Portes Du Soilel ski area. If you also take this bus in the other direction for ten minutes you arrive in Morzine centre and access to Morzine/ Les Gets & Super Morzine ski areas. This bus runs about every 10 minutes at peak times.

The Free Bus Route D is located just outside the front of the apartment building, which takes you past the Super Morzine bridge / Ski Lifts and to town centre and Le Pleney ski lifts - to Les Gets. It runs about every 30 minutes

Chalet Rive Gauche apartment is one of just two apartments in a stand alone chalet, 5 minutes walk from the town centre. With two bedrooms (each can be a twin or kingsize double) and two bathrooms, plus a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen with high quality sofa bed, up to six guests can be accommodated comfortably.

The spacious open plan living space has two double glass doors that access a terrace the length of the building with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You can even watch the weekly firework display on Pleney from the comfort of the apartment! A flatscreen TV has UK satellite TV and there is internet access throughout.

The Chalet Rive Gauche kitchen is modern gloss white, and fully equipped. With the hob located on the kitchen island, that also incorporates a bar and stools, the designated cook is not left out of the action. A free welcome pack is supplied with basics to start you off and the supermarket is five minutes walk away. A cocktail scandinave wooden table has comfy cushioned seating for meal times, and long nights chatting around a bottle of wine.

The squishy leather sofa is an inviting place to rest after a tough day on the slopes, and converts in seconds into a bed, with a 140cm wide / 12cm thick mattress designed for permanent use, so offering far greater comfort than most sofa beds. For anyone sleeping in the lounge, extra storage for bedding, clothes and belongings is tucked away in the corner.

Each bedroom can be arranged as a twin or kingsize double and both have glass doors leading onto a second terrace the length of the building. One bedroom has an ensuite shower room. The other has an ensuite bath and shower room, that can also be accessed from the lounge. Both bathrooms are supplied with high quality Villeroy & Boch fittings and Hansgrohe rain showers.

A large private hallway has plenty of space for coats and shoes and each bedroom and the lounge can be accessed from it. This is also a perfect chalet for mountain bikers in summer as the garage offers plenty of bike storage and a hose is provided.

The apartment is perfectly situated, a 5 minute walk into Morzine centre, so it's easy to get into the shops, bars and restaurants, but return to a calm, quiet residential part of town away from late night noise.

To access ski lifts the easiest way is to use the free bus. The bus line A to Prodains (direct access to Avoriaz) is a few minutes walk away, and then a 10 minute bus trip to the express telepherique. Taking the same bus in the opposite direction will get you to the Pleney lift in 5 minutes. Alternatively, the line D for Pleney and Super Morzine stops just outside the chalet, seconds from the door, and should be a little under 10 minutes to get to Super Morzine and just over 10 for Pleney. Otherwise you can walk to either Super Morzine or Pleney in about 15 minutes - they are each 1km away.

We are able to offer discounted ski hire, with skis and boots delivered and fitted at the chalet. For summer guests, we are members of the Multi Pass scheme, so you can get a special pass that for €2 a day gives free access to lifts, pools and more!

- "Exactly as stated, with really tasteful furnishings. These apartments are functional and “cosy”, and were perfect for our needs. " - "We stayed at this apartment late FEB 2018. The accommodation was as described, clean, warm, cosy and had all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment is located in the Saskia block located at the top part of the town which is short 3 min walk from the Avoriaz town arrivals area.The town centre is an easy 6 min walk and the swimming pool is about 5 mins walk. We didn't need to organise any sleigh lifts such is the ideal location of this apartment. You can Ski out in the morning behind the block onto a green and blue run or ski from the front of the block along a flat area and then onto the green ski run which runs through the centre of the town. The apartment balcony looks over a quiet area of the town where you can sit and watch the world go by or also enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains in the background behind Avoriaz which makes for one of the most scenic and interesting views I have ever had from a hotel balcony. The accommodation was clean and the double bed located in the bedroom was made up and very comfortable. There is plenty of room for storage of clothes, helmets, jackets and also a boot drier/warmer located in the hall way. The towel rail in the bathroom is large and acts as a good backup should you need more space for gloves and hats. The bathroom was comfortable with a shower/bath that had an endless supply of hot water and was welcome after a days skiing. The kitchen area is well equipped and just a side note as I didn't read the welcome book until the last day, the microwave also includes an oven feature.The instructions for which can be found in the blue welcome folder. My two children (5 & 7 yrs) slept on the couches either side of the living area. All that was needed each night was to throw over a duvet and they snuggled down for a nights sleep on the comfortable couches. It was not necessary to put up or assemble a bed (my pet hate after years of caravaning!) as the couches had ample room and would suit anyone including adults. I think this property is perfect for a family of four. The property is located on the second floor and accessible via a lift or easy stairway. The accommodation includes a ski locker in the entrance hallway to the hotel. There are no loud bars near and we could not hear any thumping music at night. Good bakers, food store, patisserie, ski hire all within 30 secs walk. I highly recommend this apartment!"

This is our slice of the mountains and we’d love to share it with you. It’s decorated and furnished beautifully with everything brand new in December 2021.

It’s in an ideal location, directly opposite the free bus to the ski lifts which runs every 10-15 mins in the winter season. It’s a 1.25 mile flat walk to the centre of town, 1.1 mile to the Super Morzine lift and 0.75 to Le Local, the nearest restaurant for brunch, dinner or Apres!

From a communal entrance shared with our neighbours, where you can leave wet shoes, coats and helmets at the door, you then enter into the open plan living area. Here you will find the kitchen, dining table and a large (very comfy) L-shaped sofa. The space is equipped with a 50inch TV which has Netflix and a selection of DVDs for all ages.

Fully equipped for the best self-catering chef (we’ve tested it with a full Christmas dinner), sharp knives, and decent sized wine glasses and even a decanter - for the good stuff!

The main bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom is a twin, but with proper sized beds. All bedrooms have electric window shutters - giving you total blackout for a great night’s sleep.

The bathroom comprises of a large shower, basin, washing machine and space for a clothes rack to dry wet ski gear if needed. The toilet is separate to this.

La Retraite also has a large outside terrace, which is mostly covered by a double height roof line. On the terrace you will find a large table and chairs and a comfy sofa - which is perfect for a morning coffee looking up to Point de Nyon, or a glass of wine in the evening. For anyone who likes to BBQ there is a brand new Webber gas BBQ.

The apartment has two allocated parking spaces and a separate cave which is perfect for storing skies, bikes or sledges.

The apartment could do with more cooking utensils, making pancakes for breakfast was a challenge. But if that’s our biggest issue on a ski trip, it must have been pretty good. The host was especially helpful, although the map they supply you with of the village isn’t great, too small to understand, but our questions were always answered promptly. Just one thing to mention is that the ski rooms are locked from 7pm til 7am, so don’t leave your skis in them if you have to leave before 7 on an early flight! We made this mistake but the host managed to sort it out for us and left with skis and boots in our luggage. We would definitely book again!"

Later than 2pm is to be discussed with Total Mountain and the charge, if possible, will be £75.
