In order to share our passion for life in the mountains and our attachment to the traditional Alpine habitat, we built this contemporary chalet inspired by the traditional Walser habitat of our mountainous countries, still present in Vallorcine Mont Blanc, which is the only Walser village in France. Precursors as to the chosen type of local wood construction, blown wood wool insulation, triple glazing, geothermal energy, photovoltaic panels, this makes it possible to offer great comfort and to emit no emissions into the atmosphere. The exterior design with its larch wood and iron frame, as well as the corbelled rooms recall and modernize the Walser design, which gives Chalet Walser a very warm character, both modern and authentic but also truly unique. - "Room R9 was probably the poorest equipped self catering premises we have stayed at. For the first four nights we had to sleep on the foor as the put-me-up divan wasn't fit for purpose. (The matress was okay). Cooking and washing up facilities were utterly inadequate. Thankfully the hotel staff took pity on us and moved us to a better room for the final three nights."

The space
The apartment is located in the 4-star resort Les Portes du Mont Blanc and ideally located, right next to the gondola that takes you to the Balme/ Les Autannes ski resort – Vallorcine/Le Tour. With the Mont Blanc Express train, which takes you easily from one end of the valley to the other you have quick access to all ski resorts in the valley (Grands Montets, Les Houches, La Flegere and Le Brevent)
In the summer, you can step into the beautiful nature from the door for walks and adventures in the mountains or the Mont Blanc Express train takes you to the desired place in the valley.

Our apartment (40 sqm) offers a warm, homely atmosphere and is thoughtfully decorated, with some personal touches inspired by our many winter and summer holidays in Vallorcine and Chamonix.

If you stay in our apartment, you will have access to the wellness area in the resort (open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., only on Saturdays after 12 p.m.) including:

Vallorcine is located at an altitude of about 1260 meters and offers an authentic, quiet area, perfect for nature lovers. The direct access to the gondola means you can hit the slopes without any hassle.
