The large windows of the open living / dining area were specially designed to make the most of this ever-changing vista.There is a handy shuttle lift that takes you up to the piste so you don't have to climb the steep hill to reach it in your ski-boots. In summer this is an easy access point to reach the hiking and mountain-biking trails.

Bedrooms & BathroomsThe apartment comfortably sleeps 12 in five spacious bedrooms. On the main floor, which also comprises the open kitchen/living/dining room, there are two double bedrooms & two twin bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. Three of the en-suite bathrooms have a sink, shower and WC. The other bathroom has a sink, bath with hand-shower and WC.

The fifth bedroom is up a flight of stairs and comes complete with four single beds, private bathroom, bean-bags, TV and games console. When used as a child’s dormitory, this room transforms into a magical play space in the rafters. As this room has limited head room in some parts and 76cm-wide beds it is ideally suited to children, but not exclusively so. The private bathroom hasa sink, bath with hand-shower and WC.

The La TzoumazPenthouse is equipped with a high chair and a folding travel cot (bedding not provided) suitable for children under 2 years old, and a second is available on demand on arrival. Please note that in accordance with the manufacturer's safety instructions, additional mattresses are not provided with the cots.

EquipmentIn the granite-topped kitchen you will find all the equipment you may need for holiday catering: fridge, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, blender, electric filter coffee-machine and Nespresso coffee-machine, plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. The wooden dining area has seating for 14 people. Hairdryersand an iron are available for you to use, and there is a shared (coin-operated) washing machine and dryer available in the building.

Down on the parking level there is aski-storage locker with integral ski-bootdryers where you canchange out of your shoes and into your ski-boots. From here a shuttle cabin on rails will take you up the 80m climb to the piste, from where you can ski 500m down to theski-lift. At the end of the day, (or perhaps even at lunchtime!) you can take the shuttle cabin back down to the ski-storage locker and store your equipment until the next day.

RelaxingRelax into a Chesterfield sofa or a leather armchair in the large living / dining area after another day on the slopes, watch a Satellite TV programme or a DVD on the flat-screen television, listen to music, or simply sit on the balcony and admire the beautiful panoramic views that face the apartment. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond. A second table area in a charming bay window makes a great space for some quiet reading or a game of cards. There is a selection of games to keep the children entertained (and perhaps the adults...) although the children will probably spend much of their free time hiding upstairs in the children's room with its TV, games console and fun, shuttered windows which overlook the main living area! The apartment is ideally situated for a wander around the resort centre to discover its sprinkling of bars, restaurants and playground.

There is no possibility to charge electric vehicles in the underground parking, however there are two Tesla destination chargers 500m away in the main village centre car park (parking fees apply).

WinterThis penthouse apartment is ski-in and ski-out. During the ski season, you only have to step into the shuttle cabindown onthe car park level and you are carried the 80m uphill to the piste. From here you only need to ski 300m down the main pisteto arrive at the Savoleyres telecabin. At the end of the last run of the day, don't forget to stop before the end and hop into the shuttle cabin to be carried the last 80m to your door. The main piste is not accessible to complete beginners, who would need to walk the 300m to the ski-school meeting point at the telecabin.

The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.

SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. WinterThis apartment is ski-in and ski-out. During the ski season, you only have to step into the shuttle cabin from the car park level and you are carried the 80m uphill to the piste. From here you only need to ski 300m down the main piste and you arrive at the Savoleyres telecabin. At the end of the last run of the day, don't forget to stop before the end and hop into the shuttle cabin to be carried the last 80m to your door. The main piste is not accessible to complete beginners, who would need to walk the 300m to the ski-school meeting point at the telecabin.

The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.

SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.

ForfamiliesThe centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides. A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too.

At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulousspot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine,with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on. It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks,snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys,goats, and there isalso rock-climbingon the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).

TheMaison de la Forethasa cafe area for drinks and snacks (check opening hours), wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail with hands-on activities to borrow such as bird-whistling and learning to draw. The Nature Trail has disabled parking and is accessible to wheelchairs and children's buggies.

Right at the top of the village is the "Defis de la Riviere", which is equipped as an outdoor physical challenge area for older kids on the river. There are sensory walking areas for younger children and a basket swing, and also a picnic spot nearby.

A short drive down the valley takes you to the large lake at the Parc des Iles, with its playgrounds, high-ropes park, minigolf, restaurant, miniature train and more.

The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.

SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.

ForfamiliesThe centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides. A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too.

At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulousspot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine,with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on. It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks,snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys,goats, and there isalso rock-climbingon the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).

The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. HighlightsThis bright duplex apartment in central La Tzoumaz with portable outdoorjacuzzi sleeps up to 6 people in three cheerfully-decorated bedrooms. Upon entering you will find abright dining area with open kitchen with large glass patio doors to the south-facing balcony. On one side of the dining area is the entrance to the bedroom section, where you will find a double bedroom, two bedrooms with bunk beds, and the bathroom. On the other side of the dining area a flight of stairs descends to the living room on the lower level, and the guest WC. The fitted wooden dining area has seating for at least 6 people. There is an additional pedestrian access at the front of the building, down a snow-cleared ramp to a small gate by the patio doors. The balcony can be a perfect spot for a cup of morning coffee as the sun rises over the mountainscape in front of you during the spring and summer months. The space
The apartment offers everything to quickly arrive on holiday. Comfortable and clean rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV and above all a beautiful view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. The very centrally located apartment has an unobstructed view from the living room on the mountains. The apartment is located on the first floor accessible via stairs but also via an elevator!

In winter you can enjoy skiing, sledging and hiking. In summer you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, steppes, cycling, tennis, swimming and paragliding.

Village:
The apartment is located on "Rue central", walking distance to supermarket, bars, restaurants in the cozy village of La Tzoumaz. There are also various ski rental options in the village.
There is a free shuttle bus to the lift cabin. This stops in front of the apartment and runs from mid-December to April.
The ski village of La Tzoumaz is located in the Swiss Alps and is part of the famous Les 4 Vallees, such as : Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnas, La Tzoumaz and Thyon.

Winter in La Tzoumaz:
With a ski pass for Verbier you have access to the places Verbier, Bruson and Savoleyres/La Tzoumaz. 34 lifts and 195 km of slopes of which 43% are blue, 29% red and 28% black. The area is very suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. There are plenty of ski schools.
In addition, you can also buy a ski pass for the entire Les 4 Vallees area, 412 km of slopes!!
There is also a 10 km long sleigh descent, which starts at 2354 meters altitude and ends in the village of La Tzoumaz.
Next to the elevator is an indoor pool and there is a small skating rink in the center.

Summer in La Tzoumaz:
Wonderful many hiking opportunities from hut to hut, picnics in nature, mountain biking, stepping down from the ski lift, parachute, skydiving, thermal baths nearby and swimming in Verbier in the outdoor pool. La Tzoumaz also has a tennis court. Nearby are some beautiful mountain huts where you can enjoy until late on a terrace in the sun.

Renovated in 2018, our apartment has a large terrace of 16m2 and is designed for the best possible use of space: 1 living room, 1 corridor, 1 bedroom and a bathroom. In dialect, "Cherèinâ" means "To become calm, peaceful again & to rediscover oneself". It is in this idea, the idea of being able to recharge your batteries, to change perspective that we have renovated this apartment in La Tzoumaz.

- The Living Room: it acts as a living room during the day and is transformed into a bedroom at night with a 150cm x 200cm bed. --> The Black Kitchen allows you not to have the impression of being in a living room or kitchen at nightfall.
- The Room: it has a comfortable sofa during the day to transform into a TV or reading area. At night, it welcomes a 160cm x 200cm bed that is very easy to install.

The bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower with a Grohe Power&Soul shower head. The 70's style of construction has been preserved with an old pink tonality that gives a bright and fresh side.

Unlike other apartments in the square, bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included in the final price of AirBnB. :-)

Access to the whole apartment which is located on the 3rd floor of a building with a lift in the centre of La Tzoumaz at 200 m from the shop, the cablecar and the ski slope.

La Tzoumaz is a very family-oriented resort close to the valley, 15 minutes from the Bains de Saillon and on the family ski slopes of Verbier 4Vallées with the bonus of the ski area of Savoleyres, a toboggan run, a ski park and the slopes of the Etablons.

In sommer, ""La Maison de la forêt" and its "Sentier des Sens La Tzoumaz" are beautiful places to stroll and the surrounding mountain pastures: Croix de coeur, Vallon d'Arbi, Sentier du Fou, Bisse de Saxon, popular destinations for hikers and families.

Other things to note
1. A private cupboard in the basement for your ski equipment and a common laundry room (paid washing machine and dryer) are at your disposal in the building.
