The tower has several terraces from which you can see the sea and the mountains. The tower is located on a large estate, between centuries-old olive trees and pine trees, on the walking route (GR221) from the Port of Sóller to Deia. From the tower you can walk between paths to the town or the cove. The outer space of the tower has a small fenced Mediterranean garden, has space for a car.

Deia is a small idyllic village on the west coast of Mallorca, perched high up with stunning views down to the crystal clear seas. It has been welcoming artists, musicians and writers for years and has a bohemian vibe. Visitors flock to the village not only for the outstanding beauty and character but also to visit the grave and former house, now a museum, of Robert Graves who lived here in the nineteenth century when the artistic scene flourished and continues today.

The Moors, who named the area ‘Ad-Daya’ meaning ‘village’, created the terraced irrigation system that slows steep hillsides to be cultivated and today the olive groves still cover much of the hillside in and around the town.

Tennis courts can be hired in the village and there are various golf clubs on the island, the closest being Son Termens about 18km away.

If you hire a car you can discover the beautiful island of Mallorca, especially the north-west corner which is a world away from some of the more touristy resorts on the island.

The pretty town of Soller is a dramatic 10km drive away, here you can enjoy the ambience with a glass of wine on the town square with the Sant Bartomeu church or find one of the many walking paths, such as those to the picturesque villages of Biniaraix and Fornalutx.

The beautiful city of Palma is yours to discover and what better way to travel there than via the 1912 wood panelled train that takes you through the orange and lemon groves for the 28km journey from Soller to Palma.

Villa Gem is a luxury property designed by Thomas Urquijo, one of the most famous designers in Spain.

The villa is located on the outskirts of Deia and is part of an estate of 13 hectares of rustic land surrounded by the Sierra Tramontana, with orange, grapefruit and olive trees, and from here you will enjoy stunning views over the sea and the landscape.

This recently refurbished stone house is hidden on a mountain top above Llucalcari overlooking the sea, just a short drive up the hill from Deia and the beach of Cala Deia. It is just a short drive from the village where you will find a good choice of shops and restaurants.

The space
The duplex consists of a spacious reception room and dining area, separate kitchen and loo on the 1st floor, and stone spiral staircase leading to the bedroom with full ensuite bathroom on the 2nd floor.

The apartment is a wonderful light and joyful space with high beam ceilings and local characteristics blended with modern convenience, the rustic kitchen is equipped with a hob top (not an oven) and all other appliances to make for a comfortable and self sufficient stay - for those returning or considering Deia for the first time there are many delights to be enjoyed, we will provide an insightful guide to help you make the most of your stay in this village. For your added comfort you will find 100% cotton bedding, fluffy towels to make your stay feel a little more home from home.

Other things to note
There are no laundry facilities in the apartment.

If you wish to do laundry there is a service available for 15Euros per 7kg available Wednesday or Friday and takes 2-3 days. You need to take it to Mallorca Property Management next to the Charles Marlow office in Deia.

There is a large TV which is only to be used with a DVD player or to connect your laptop or device. No terrestrial TV available.

The apartment does not have central heating. It is heated using the two aircon/heating fans, plus we have an electric radiator. During the Summer you won't need heating. If coming when it's cooler, we advise also bringing warmer clothes just in case.

The parking right outside the apartment is for residents only, however in the check-in instructions we provide details on where you can park on the street a couple minutes away.
