Convenient downtown property within easy walking distance of many shops, restaurants, museums, post office, banks, bus station, visitor center, and coffee houses. Six blocks to the beautiful Chena River that flows through the city. Property has free off-street parking on adjacent alley. Completely renovated with quality, high-end finishes and has a clean, modern look. The rental is the upper floor of the house, approximately 500 square feet, with total privacy.
Features include large bathroom with vanity, mirrored medicine cabinet & light bar, shower and storage closet. Bedroom area has queen size sled bed, large closet with organizer, iron and board, air conditioner, nightstands, and room darkening, cordless blinds. Living room has dividing screen, futon (which folds down to a full bed), wicker easy chair, and wicker rocking chair, coat and shoe rack, flat screen smart TV with WiFi connection and local channels, Alaska magazines, books & pictures, along with puzzles and card games. Kitchen has large peninsula with four comfortable counter stools, lots of white cabinets, including one with glass-front, stainless-steel appliances, microwave, and double sinks. I want to emphazise that the the Northern Lights are predicted to peak in 2025. 2021 was an exceptional year and so far 2022 has had some incredible Auroras. Generally, the peak season begins August 20-April 15. Realize that the earlier and later in the season, the darkness is less, so you generally have less of a window to view the lights. It is warmer, but your viewing period is shorter. I was just above the arctic circle for a week (Sept 2-11) and had 2 phenomenal evenings of lights viewing 4 hours and 2 hours. If you want to have a good opportunity to view the lights, check out the UAF Geophysical Aurora Forecast which can help predict peak times to have success. That being said, I have had excellent viewing with a 2 kp level. This year there have been a number of days with a 6 kp level which is extraordinary.. The unit needs to be accessed from the alley between Hilton Avenue and the Airport Way frontage road via Moore Street. When you turn on Moore Street you will see Allstate on your right. At the end of the parking lot, turn right on the alley and pass the log cabin and garage on the left. Turn left into the Vrbo parking lot. The back of the Vrbo duplex is at the end of this parking lot. The door on the left side is the access to the Vrbo unit. The deck has access to the upstairs tennants unit so don't use the deck.. SEE THE MAP that was emailed and sent to you via Vrbo messages.

The cot won't fit in the closet if it is fully assembled.

This cozy fully furnished apartment is located on the ground floor of our log home. Located on three acres just 15 minutes from downtown Fairbanks.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, basic spices (and if you need a spice and I have it in my pantry, I will gladly share!), Keurig coffee pot with a starter supply of coffee pods and teas.

The bathroom has a good-sized shower and we keep a supply of body wash, shampoo and conditioner on hand. Leave your hair dryer at home -- there's one in the unit!

One bedroom has two twin beds and the second has a queen bed. All have comfortable bedding - all of which are washed after each reservation using ALL Free and Clear detergent and Lysol laundry sanitizer.

The washer/dryer unit is located in the mechanical room just off the kitchen and an initial supply of detergent and dryer sheets is kept on hand.

The property has lots of birch and aspen trees, a few spruce, lawns and flower beds, corrals and barn.

During the winter months and the northern lights are dancing in the sky above, you just have to step out the door to take in this amazing phenomenon. There are no street or city lights to prevent a good viewing.

If you're visiting us during the winter months, we highly suggest you rent an all-wheel drive vehicle with good tires that is winterized for our Fairbanks winters. The roads can be challenging!

PLEASE NOTE. We (owners) live upstairs. We have pets and we're a busy family. We are conscientious of noise levels and try to be as respectful as possible about this while living upstairs. If you are looking for silence and a more isolated location, I suggest looking for alternative accommodations.

This is a neighborhood right off of our main Badger Road so you have easy access to the paved walking/bike trail as well as some near by convenience stores, Drive or walk up coffee shops & local parks. All while having that small town feel. We enjoy a walk to get ice cream in the summer & sit by the Slough to enjoy it, where you can watch fishermen and the ducks.

If you are not getting a rental car for your stay then this property is right next to a local bus stop, but we recommend having your own car

The Big Horn room was great, but this was like a palace. If you are on the fence, spend the little bit extra and get this one. Jess has thought of everything here! From soft cozy blankets everywhere, high end fixtures and finishes, fully equipped kitchen and on and on. As if that is not enough she was always asking if there was anything else I needed, but honestly there never was bc it was already there. Outdoors they also thought of everything. Canoes, paddle boards, fishing gear, corn hole, grills. This will be our home away from home from now on. If you have a chance to go on the Riverboat, you might see your host doing the Bush Pilot demonstration, it was very cool. The space
This space is uniquely located on Chena Marina in a residential area with gravel roads, where many of the local small plane pilots live and fly their planes from the float pond and airstrip. Many of the houses incorporate hangars. Having said that, the area is quiet. It is located upstairs and inside a family owned business where Alaska Airlink Shuttle and Tours operates. There are many buses and vans parked here, this is a tour business. The host also lives here. There are solid double doors that are locked between the unit and the host’s home. There is the possibility that one can hear household noises between units. There are no windows in the apartment.
Only the booking party is allowed on the property and in the apartment, and the Arctic entry which is just inside the entryway to the apartment.
Other things to note
The guest house is located on the second floor. You must climb the stairs from the artic entry to access the appt. There are no windows so the unit can become warm but there is an air conditioner, ceiling fan and a floor fan.

This is an 850 Sq. Ft open layout apartment with a smart TV, and free Wi-Fi. We have a fully equipped brand-new kitchen, large jetted tub and walk-in tiled shower. The laundry area is right inside the apartment with a full sized washer and dryer. The room has one king bed. Guests will have access to the entire apartment, private balcony, and the shared front fenced yard.
Guests have access to the whole apartment. We have a security system that allows us to view the outside of the property if there are issues. Secure key-less entry allows guests to remotely check in with us. There is one parking space in a heated garage designated for the rental unit. This is a unique well-built older building with 3 units total. There is one other unit in this building, and one full time tenant downstairs Please be respectful of them and our neighbors. We have good relationships with our neighbors and prefer to keep it this way! Quiet hours are 10PM- 8AM.

Unique apartment and location! Stay above a 1947 cabin. Feeling like a local as you sit on your private balcony watching Fairbanks in real time. Other things to note
Seventeen stairs to the apartment. Not suitable for infants or children or those unable to climb stairs.
Also kitchen floor is slightly warped with age but should not interfere with regular walking and daily activities.
It's been a noisy summer so I did want to add that. It's off one of our main streets. Also since the building is a commercial property it isn't the most glamorous but the apartment is cozy and well worth the cost. I try to make it comfy, but don't forget those stairs...they can be steep and please if you bring your pets keep their hair off the beds🙀
