After the wedding you step outside and take the new walking bridge crossing the Grand River to the venues holding all the celebrations for the evening.
If you are not here for a wedding, no problem. Crossing that bridge sets you on Mill St. and all that Elora has to offer.

From the front of your building you will find yourself looking at the historic armory, now a very convenient liquor store if you so wish to indulge. Our Gingerbread House host the Sugar Skulls Ice Cream Speaking of which is part of a totally renovated two bedroom apartment with its century old accent walls. You will find each room is carefully designed for comfort. Even the family room has a sofa bed for extra guests. The renovated bathroom has a modern clean look . come stay at our Gingerbread house where your biggest regret will be not staying long enough.

All around the building there are bistro tables and chairs ,they are yours also to use and share. There is a laundry room on the other side of your mud room

The space
The location is a cozy and highly private space, conveniently located just three blocks away from the Grand River and main street, offering guests a serene and convenient location. With a plethora of amenities nearby, including restaurants, shops, an LCBO, and Walmart and Timmies, as well as downtown, guests have easy access to everything they need. Close to Sportsplex.

The dedicated whole second floor ensures guests' privacy, with a lockable door for added security. Shared entry through front door with unique code. Moreover, the designated workspace there, complete with high speed internet and a charging station, caters to guests who need to stay productive during their visit.

For added convenience, there's a food prep area with a dishes, cutlery, mini-fridge, toaster, and a microwave, allowing guests to prepare simple meals or snacks at their leisure.

This convenient space can also be used as a temporary accommodation solution between houses. Plus, with Elora just a 5-minute drive away also Guelph 20 minutes away, guests can easily explore the charm of the nearby towns and area during their stay.

I have a small dog, named Satchmo, who can greet visitors with a friendly bark. It is a mid century home with hardwood floors throughout, where we have lived comfortably for over 15 years.

spacious, one-bedroom self contained walkout basement apartment. (Enter through the private entrance into the necessary comforts for an ideal stay on the bank of the Grand River in historic Fergus, Ontario. A short walk to downtown Fergus and nearby walking trails. A five minute drive will bring you to downtown Elora to explore many shops and restaurants. Within a five to 10 minute drive enjoy more beauty of the Elora Gorge or Bellwood lake conservation area or Cox Cedar Cellars .

The space
ideal space with private space to work from home. Enjoy the unique queen size sofa bed with lounge feature to unwind after a busy day. When its time to retire enjoy your king size posturepedic mattress that cushions you as you sleep. We have a shower only in bathroom.. no bathtub. The shower has a low ceiling which makes life a challenge. It is doable as the shower has a hand held feature.

Other things to note
There is a french door XL digital Air Fryer Oven for all your cooking needs. There is also a XL mini fridge. . Freezer portion is very small . There is an electric skillet to create either breakfast or dinner entrees. We are on a septic system and the water is pumped out to the septic bed. It is a bit noisy but only lasts 3 seconds .

Built in 1867, our attached carriage house has been renovated into a studio apartment. It has a private bath, complete kitchen, sitting area, in-floor heat, coffee and tea. We are located 7 kms south of Elora, 10 kms west of Fergus and 15 kms north of Guelph in the hamlet of Ponsonby. The apartment has a king size bed and a smart TV. No Pets or Smoking. Longer term rentals are available at discounted prices. We have honey bees, chickens, pigeons and a dog named Penny on the property.
