- "The spot is really nice for a solo/couples trip. It’s walking distance from great restaurants, the farmers market and museum. Staying here you won’t need to get a car if you plan on hanging out in the downtown area. The unit was clean upon arrival and the check in process was very easy and smooth, I’m definitely going to be staying here again in the future. Very glad I booked! Welcome to the The Apartment at Engle’s Place! Our beautiful 3-story city home was built in 1910 in the Queen Anne’s style. This unit is the third story apartment that has recently been fully remodeled and is styled in the mid-century modern design. With views of the Susquehanna River and being within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, the river trail and much more, this is a perfect vacation rental to enjoy the best of what Harrisburg has to offer.

The Space:
The Apartment at Engle’s Place is an open and spacious third-story apartment that is well suited to hosting a single guest or a small group.

The main bedroom has a King size bed with a smart tv in the room. There is also a Queen size pull out mattress in the living room and a Queen size blow-up mattress that can be set up in the bedroom or the living room if needed.

The apartment has a gourmet kitchen with everything a guest would need for cooking and eating in (appliances, dishwasher, utensils, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, wine glasses, etc...) The fridge has a selection of condiments, and coffee and tea are provided.

The dining room, living room, and kitchen are part of an open floor plan. There is a smart tv in the living room that can connect to any of your streaming accounts. There is also an electric fireplace in the living room making it that much more of a cozy environment to hang out in.

The apartment has a private entrance at the back of the house. Please note: there are two long staircases up to the apartment.

- Your safety matters. This property features an exterior doorbell camera on the front door facing the front entry. The camera does not look into any interior spaces. The camera actively records video and sound when motion is detected or when the video doorbell button is pressed

- "The apartment feels like a wonderful old home. It was clean and charming and perfect for our stay!" - "Wonderful host very accommodating great rental will stay here again" - "When we arrived at the property, we immediately noticed the overwhelming new paint smell, but couldn't do anything to help air it out. The property itself looked nothing like the photos. The deadbolt on the front door looked as if it had been kicked in and haphazardly repaired. Some windows were painted shut, others were unable to be locked. Both of those pose a safety concern, especially in that area. There were roach traps everywhere, exposed flooring covered by carpet strips, and the futon was covered in dog hair. The showerhead wasn't fully screwed in, so water sprayed everywhere when we turned on the shower. We were there for about an hour before we left.The Evolve team was responsive and quick to assist in requesting a refund from the property owner. Thankfully, they didn't fight it, and I got a full refund the next day."

Our property is more like staying with roommates or a friend's house. Where you have your own unshared room and share the common areas. Such as the kitchen, living room, dining room and rest room. Due to this "co-habitation" set-up, the prices for this type of stay are more affordable. The "do it by yourself and clean up after yourself" roommate mentality creates a totally different atmosphere than your average hotel. The environment is much more laid-back and relaxed.

What to expect
The expectation is that all of the guests will be peaceful and friendly to one another. In order to make the atmosphere harmonious. Expect a mixture of guests, some may be long term stays and some may be one night roadtrippers who just needed a place to crash, and will hit the road at the crack of dawn. You will barely know they were there. If you are thinking of moving to the area or on a short term work assignment this property will be the perfect place for you.

Once you arrive at "The Store House", you get the opportunity to bond with other fellow guests. Share coffee and share travel stories. Look out for one another. The great thing about staying here is that even if you are traveling alone, you have the opportunity to have a social experience. Once again we do not pretend to be a five-star hotel.

Sometimes you may have moments where the wifi may go in and out. This is a great place for a person just needing a place to stay overnight and heading back  on the road the next day. This is more for a person who just wants some space to get away and get some sleep. The RV has a two burner stove, fridge, microwave, a/c, heater,  shower, and sitting area.  The environment is homey, and relaxed. The RV can accommodate 4 guests.

The RV sits in our backyard. We host other guests so you may hear people pulling in and out of the area. The expectation is that all guests will be peaceful and friendly to one another.
