- "beautiful location" - "The apartment was spotlessly clean and there was everything that anyone could possibly need or indeed want. The owner had obviously put a lot of thought into what was required for self-catering accommodation and I'm sure his future guests will really appreciate the effort that he has put in. Oh and on a clear day there is a stunning view from the flat/accommodation across the River Fort There is a beautiful little harbour with a Cafe on site which is only about 200 yards from the accommodation. From the harbour it is possible to walk along the seafront and also on the return leg back home you can walk through a lovely park called Ravenscraig. There is also a beautiful coastal walk in the other direction for the fitter people "

The apartment is owned by Fife Historic Buildings Trust, a local Building Preservation Trust. It is a company limited by guarantee and has charitable status. It was formed in 1997 primarily for the purpose of saving and restoring historic buildings in Fife which are at risk. We are very proud of our beautiful historic building and would love to welcome you here.
John McDouall Stuart was born in this house in 1815 and later emigrated ‘down under’ where he led the first expedition to cross Australia from south to north in 1862. He is a celebrated figure in Australia, where he has a 950-mile highway named after him. The holiday apartment occupies the upper two floors of a three-storey B-listed building. The rooms have been decorated in keeping with the style of the building, retaining period features, such as the window shutters.

- "Firstly I want to point out that Jordan the flat owner was an excellent host. Communication was great. Flat was spotlessly clean and there were some really nice touches like leaving milk and packets of biscuits. All very much appreciated!! There were however things that detracted from my stay: Despite booking for a party of 3 there were not 3 decent sized towels available in the flat. Possibly the only oversight by the owner. The TV was not a smart tv despite being advertised as one and that limited tv viewing. Other things that detracted are out of the owners control: The stairwell is not well maintained and doesn’t create a good impression. One antisocial neighbour played music that was unbearably loud. Thankfully this was during the day and not at night when we were trying to sleep. I really appreciate the efforts of the owner to try and provide a pleasurable experience but on balance I wouldn’t stay there again for a holiday break."
