A beautiful chalet with fantastic views overlooking Klosters and the mountains beyond. This family home has 4 bedrooms, 2 with en-suite bathrooms and 1 further full bathroom and a sauna. There are 2 king sized beds in 2 of the bedrooms and sleeping accomodation for seven in 2 more bedrooms if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the gear you will need and more.
The Large living room with fireplace is beautifully decorated and the dining room can seat up to 12 people. There is a laundry room, indoor parking, ski room, bicycle room, elevator, 2 patios, outdoor dining facilities, a great garden and WiFi/TV.
The 2 main mountain gondolas are a 10 -15 minute walk from the house. Airport and train station transfers are available as well as catering and car services.

Both Richard and Teresa were attentive and answered all my questions very promptly. I was even able to check in early which with a family is always a luxury as it takes a huge amount of effort to organise a trip. When we arrived I immediately noticed the apartment and building was very clean and well looked after. The host had created a very cost space, very comfortable beds, sofas and tasteful decoration. Very large bedrooms with 2 generous bathrooms each with a bath and shower, open living space and kitchen. Even though there was 4 of us in the apartment, it didn't feel crowded. The apartment had everything you could ask for; including all kitchen utensils, towels, bathroom goodies, washing powder etc. Due to covid the restaurants were shut, but the host had even organised delivery menus for the local restaurants in our welcome pack so we had options even when we didn't want to cook. The location of the apartment is also great - with only a 5 min walk to Klosters platz including supermarkets, shops and the Bergbahn/Ski lift too. Parking at the apartment was also easy and we appreciated the underground park space as it heavily snowed for 2 days when we were there. Even when we run out of firewood and so had the supermarket- a quick message to the host and we found a place that had stock! We are very grateful, big thank you Richard for a wonderful stay!"

In winter it is an 8 minute flat walk in ski boots to the Gotschna ski lift accessing the main ski region of Klosters and Davos. Restaurants are within a mere stone's throw away and the main shops are only 5 minutes away on foot.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS:
Chalet Platzersch hof, Klosters, Switzerland is a 149 square metre apartment with three balconies totalling a further 38 square metres. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms (two en-suite) and three balconies. All the furniture and fittings are of the highest quality.

LIVING AREA: The extremely large sitting room is equipped with a huge Musterring cream leather corner sofa with adjustable back and incorporated chaise. There is a 65 inch Sony Oled Smart HD TV with Swisscom TV 2.0 which includes English channels (and hundreds of German, French, Italian and other language channels) plus a recording and play-back facility and home cinema surround sound system. We have a large library of films on the system and also offer Netflix, Disney and Sky Show for additional choice. The log fire and Italian lighting creates a cosy and romantic feel. There is a Bose docking station for your i-pod and i-phone. The Hulsta glass and chrome dining table with cream leather chairs provides comfortable and sophisticated dining.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is very well equipped with top of the range V-Zug appliances; dishwasher, fridge/freezer, main oven and additional oven with steam facility, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, good quality and plentiful supplies of saucepans, frying pans etc. Naturally there is both a cheese and meat fondue and a raclette machine for your use.

There is access to the south-facing balcony from this living/dining room. The balcony is equipped with a modern table and 4 chairs and 2 upright chairs, and an Outdoor Chef gas BBQ.

BEDROOMS: The main bedroom has a huge and very comfortable modern (2.40 metre by 2.40 metre) bed with incorporated bedside tables and lighting and with good quality bedding. There is a double wardrobe with ample hanging and shelf space.

This room leads on to the east facing balcony with two comfortable chairs and wine table. There is a full en-suite bathroom, with bath and in-built shower, toilet and wash basin.

The second bedroom (with en-suite shower room) has two extra-wide twin beds (1.20 metres wide) and an 82cm flat-screen Sony HD TV with English Freeview TV channels and an XBOX 360 with Kinekt, PLAYSTATION 3 plus games and DVD's. Again there is a double wardrobe with ample hanging and shelf space.

The third bedroom has two single beds (head to tail) and small west facing balcony with double wardrobe and a supply of children's games and board games. The third bathroom (with shower) is across the hallway and this additionally houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

SAUNA: There is an in-house sauna in the basement which can be reserved for your private use with large walk-in shower and relaxation area.

Well-equipped apartment in fabulous mountain holiday resort. High up above the fog level, the village is sunny all year round. The apartment is very close to the ski tracks, ski lifts and sledge runs. In winter you can ski down to it. Just minutes from lovely mountain footpaths, a golf course and breathtaking mountain bike trails, the apartment is also ideal for a spring break or a summer holiday. In autumn the whole area is ablaze with beautiful shades of red, orange and gold. You can walk in the forest just metres from the house. In the evening relax in front of a log fire, take a sauna or play table tennis.

Winter Sports: Klosters has everything you would expect from one of Europe's top alpine resorts and it's all right on our doorstep. The Selfranga ski lift is 5 minutes walk, the main cable car to the Gotscha-Parsenn ski area is 10-15 minutes walk down hill or you can take the free local ski-bus just around the corner. After a long day's skiing you don't have to trek back up to the apartment - you can either catch the bus back up the hill or you can ski right down to the bus stop. Ice skating, ice hockey & curling are 15 minutes walk away at the sports centre together with the start of the horse-driven sledge route. The main cross-country loop is 10 minutes walk away at the bottom of the hill. The Gotschna cable car also takes you to the start of a super sledge run, and yes, we provide sledges too! If you need to relax after a days skiing you can either use the sauna in the basement or soak those aching muscles in one of the hotel spa pools (4 of which are open to the public).

Summer Sports: The apartment is close to Klosters’ 9 hole golf course, which affords a wonderful experience not least because of the magnificent setting. If on the other hand you don't want to spoil a good walk, Klosters really is the perfect place to be. The apartment is literally metres from the hiking trail to Davos and trails in all directions are only a few minutes away. You can choose from gentle strolls to serious mountain hiking. The gentle strolls aren't confined to the valley as the Gotschna cable car is open in the summer and gives access to many easy trails with glorious views. For mountain bikers Klosters is an absolute paradise. The Swiss Bike Masters trail is 5 minutes away plus numerous trails in all directions up into the hills. The apartment has a variety of maps and guide books of walking and biking trails. There is also superb white water nearby, grades IV to VI in Klosters (strictly for pros) or through the Vereina tunnel for grades I to VI on the river Inn.

Those Little Red Trains: Klosters is a great place for exploring the eastern mountains and valleys of Switzerland and there really is no better way than travelling on the Rhaetische Bahn railway. Klosters station, which is 15 minutes walk from the apartment, is a junction with trains running in three directions. You can take a short trip to Davos and walk back over the mountains, or go through the Vereina tunnel to St Moritz or Scuol which has beautiful thermal baths. The Vereina tunnel also has a car-ferry which is great if you want to hop over to St Moritz with your car. If you want something a bit more special, you can take the train through the tunnel and over the world famous, and simply stunning, Bernina Pass line down to Tirano in northern of course, being Switzerland there are plenty of trains so you won't have a problem getting back again on the same day. You can go the whole hog and reserve places in the observation car. This route is an unforgettable experience in summer or winter.

The walk from town/train station to the rental was pretty brutal in business attire however, and the bus to the nearby stop only came once per hour, so we were only able to use it once. Very much recommend having a vehicle to stay here if you plan to be coming and going frequently. There was a beautiful trail leaving from behind the property that went along the valley and through some spectacular scenery, so check it out if you're here for a while! Couple of things to note, the 2nd bedroom had only reading-lights and a window for light sources. And there is also no microwave at all so heating leftovers and easy meals required more dishes than normal. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful rental, overall our time at the unit was just what we needed - relaxing. The meadows and views felt secluded but also comfortable and welcoming."

Casa Ogna is situated close to the centre of the famous holiday resort of Klosters and can accommodate up to 8 people (max. 5 adults). It is based in a lovely quiet, residential area with easy access to the walks alongside the river which are great for children, bicycling and dog walking.

With an exceptionally beautiful panoramic view of the Klosters valley and an unspoilt view over the Gotschna mountain, the holiday apartment is the ideal starting point for both summer and winter sports activities.

The child-friendly apartment extends over 2 levels in an open plan layout with double height ceilings and consists of a rustically designed living area with fireplace and fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The facilities include the wonderful south-facing covered balcony, Wi-Fi, cable TV and games and equipment for the little guests. Up to 2 small well behaved dogs are allowed.

The ski lift to reach the summit of the Davos-Klosters Parsenn ski area is a 10-15 minute walk away. A short bus ride takes you to the very child-friendly Madrissa mountain.

Non-skiing activities include horse riding, trekking (winter and summer), cross country skiing, tennis, swimming, paragliding, mountain bike riding.

There are numerous summer activities close by including an open air Lido (child-friendly), playgrounds and tennis courts (also covered).

To get to the town of Klosters, is either a lovely 10 minute walk along the river (also great for dog walks) or by bus with the nearest bus stop only 3 minutes on foot and a 5 minute journey to the town centre.
